After looking on Yelp we decided to get take out from here for dinner. We ordered 3 different meals and were happy with all of them. When we we're running behind to pick up our food they actually called us to let us know that it was ready. When we arrived our food was packaged to go and everything was still warm when we arrived home. The spring rolls were bigger than i've seen at a lot of restaurants which was nice and they included fortune cookies which i rarely see anymore so that was an added bonus! But in Parkville there's a plaza there that has some of the Best Cantonese Chinese food in the County. New y chi a is a multi generational family business. They consistently serve great Pork Dumplings, Tonight I ordered an order of the pan fried Pork Dumplings. They were crispy and flavorful and the centers were juicy and full of flavor. They definitely make their own dumplings by the chewiness of the dough. The Pork with Black Bean Sauce was sublime and the taste of the fermented black beans, the pieces of Chinese Roast Pork and the Black Beans come together like a well arranged string section in a carefully constructed Symphony. The Chicken with Snow Peas was light , fresh and the pea pods were still crunchy. My only caution is to try not to order more food then what's needed because the portions are generous. read more

My favorite order is Szechuan style house lo Mein, but their shrimp with human style is sublime (and a healthier option). I'm giving this establishment one star simply because they did, in fact, deliver something to my home. However, what they delivered was barely edible and not worth the price. I ordered Monk's Kung Pao beef (vegetarian meat), which was supposed to be spicy and come with vegetables. Thank God I added tofu to this dish. This was not spicy at all (and I requested extra spicy); in fact, it was flavorless. I had to add soy sauce, hot sauce, and my own spices to taste anything. The dish was literally half celery cubes (see pictures) with four green pepper chunks and about a quarter of a diced carrot. I had ordered from this place once before and had the same experience. I threw the menu away. This time I ordered Online and had forgotten the name of the place. As soon as I saw and tasted the food, I realized what I had done. I've been there twice. Food is average and customer service is worst. Restaurant always looks dirty and a man had to ask to clean off table. I ordered sweet and sour pork and egg foo young. They want almost 18.00. I almost fell out of my chair. I said wish that's a bit high. She said I have you large portions. Sony said change them to small then with hesitation she mentioned luncheon special which saved me almost 8 bucks. They never asked if I wanted steamed or fried rice and got fried. It's a strip mall Chinese place. I know, these places are a dime a dozen, but this place has consistently good food. It's a notch above most. Try the teriyaki chicken skewers. They're amazing here. The food and prices are good, BUT, they have very slow delivery and they don't read instruction when ordering online. I have ordered from them 3 times now and 2 out of the 3 times, the delivery was well over an hour. This last time (and it will be my last) I ordered, the food was delivered within 40 minutes which I was happy with. When I ordered online, I asked for "no onions", I am very allergic to onions. Just ordered for the first time tonight. We like simple food, ordered the crab wantons and the orange chicken. For some reason there's no side order of fried rice, so I had to write a note in the online order form. I ordered white rice with a note, and they read it and changed our order accordingly. It arrived quicker than we expected, less than $20 for the whole lot, and everything was really tasty! My favorite indication of quality was the orange chicken, which had fresh, crisp, green broccoli and fresh, bright orange peels in the sauce. I ordered the lunch shirmp egg foo young special with the gravy on the side... the gravy was a little off from the normal taste I was used to but they didnt charge extra for having to put the sauce seperate so that was good... but the egg drop soup that came as a part of the lunch special was absolutely disgusting!! That soup was not made properly at all and taste so bland like it was just some warmed up egg yolk and nothing else... My suggestion to them is to add a different option to go with the lunch special besided Wonton Soup, Egg Drop Soup, Sweet and Hot Soup, or can sodas... maybe add french fries or spring/egg rolls as an option as well. I also ordered 4 wings that were cooked perfectly... they just was not seasoned well so if you order them just make sure to tell them to put salt pepper and old bay seasoning on them and you will fall in love!! We have been on the lookout for a good Chinese place and were really impressed the first couple of times we ordered here. The past 3 or 4 times it has just gone down hill. There is no consistency with the same exact food we order every time. Our order last night was pretty nasty and was our last straw...sesame chicken sauce was so congealed that everything just stuck together. The chicken was so chewy that it was not even worth eating. The Szechuan chicken was not spicy at all and out of the large portion, had about 6 pieces of chicken in it. Pretty disappointing. Won't be visiting here anymore. read more
