Typical Chinese-American restaurant. I would say the food was above average. We ordered moo goo gai pan and Kung pao chicken. Both orders came with a side of white rice or fried rice. I do wish that they had a brown rice option. The order also came with choice of egg roll or soup. The hot and sour soup was fine. I didn't particularly like the egg rolls, but they're typical Chinese American eggrolls. I believe they may have given us an extra one for free, which I do appreciate. I was actually really pleasantly surprised by their sushi. I ordered a California roll to try it because it looks good in the pictures and it was absolutely delicious. The woman taking orders was rushing while taking order and than when I went into the establishment the woman giving your order was VERY RUDE. She spoke as if she wanted me QUICKLY out of her face but wanted My money. Absolutely not. I literally walked right back out the establishment: I will NOT shop/buy where I am not wanted and treated differently. It was awful. I called to speak to the owner about the complaint and she answered. Her attitude was STILL nasty, no professionalism or people skills at all. The best takeout in the area! I've lived in this neighborhood for over 15 years and this place is always consistent. The food tastes fresh and isn't oily like some other Chinese takeout places. The service is average. I've never had a bad experience but also nothing that I would call out as extraordinary. This restaurant used to allow indoor dining but since the pandemic, they have continued their carry out only model. The small interior where you place your order is a bit tight and can get crowded especially on cold days. I always recommend calling ahead. Overall, a great takeout spot. read more

Third time and it was great Again! I always thought egg foo young was a large, nearly flat Chinese frittata, dark brown, over-cooked, dry edges. I've enjoyed everything I've had so far so I thought I'd give their egg foo young a try. I was amazed to see these fluffy, almost baked-looking, nothing like I've ever seen before. We ordered from here as our usual, New China House, was closed and I saw promising reviews for China delight. Mind you, I'm not a big Chinese fan but I love general tso's chicken. I placed an order online for my fiance's food and mine. I specified in the order that I wanted the sauce on the side for the general tso's, like I usually do. They called about five minutes after I placed the order to clarify. It took about three times of back and forth for them to finally understand I wanted the sauce on the side. Then said they would have to charge extra for that!!! What the actual......okay, so I said how much? Expecting maybe 50 cents or something. He proceeds to say $1.50. I asked WHY? He said for the container. I told him that was ridiculous. They delivered it, charged me the extra $1.50 and the container was your standard Chinese sauce container. Get this, my fiance's sweet and sour chicken had his sauce in an extra container with no charge. They also didn't deliver with any extra soy sauce or other packets that usually come with Chinese food. Let's just say if New China House isn't open, I won't be ordering Chinese in the area ever again. Oh and btw, the general tso's sauce on the side I paid extra for, was bland af. read more

After driving past two other chinese restaurants in the area and having failed attempts, because they were closed, I wondered into China Delight and was pleasantly pleased. I've been looking for a good chinese restaurant since I moved to the area. And everyone knows how hard it is to find good chinese take out. I don't always find Mongolian beef on chinese menus, partly because I always play it safe and go for the traditional beef and broccoli, but I said "hey lets check this out". The Mongolian beef was piping hot, tender, and not full of just green onions...yum, I'm craving some as we speak. I also decided to try the ever so popular crab ragoons. Now, they didn't come with that cloying sweet and overly bright red, sweet and sour sauce, and yes I did miss the sauce. But the ragoons were pretty tasty. Of course full of cream cheese and just a scant of crabmeat, however the ragoons tasted as though they used real crab meat, which was a nice addition. As I keep trying a few chinese restaurants in the area, China Delight will definitely be my go to chinese spot. read more

Been here and WOW! I love everything about it. The interior is warm and inviting, with soft classical music playing. Foremost to me is no MSG!! The food is excellent. The sushi with real crab - Harford Roll - is a winner. Great sushi menu. The won-ton broth is exceptional! My green beans with pork was melt in your mouth good. I cannot understand the low stars here - everyone is complimenting them. Busy and lots of take out and delivery. Hope to be at this great location often! Love it more every time! I ordered 3 things: double cooked pork, crispy duck, and "Taiwanese" style rice noodle. I'm familiar with the outcome of the three dishes, and everything I ordered was nothing I expected. Because they're kind enough to offer carryout and cook my meal, I had to give them an extra star. They use 'wonton soup pork', if that's the best way to describe it, for their double cooked pork (dcp) dish, and that is so wrong. Dcp is supposed to use thinly sliced pork belly, and NOT be caked with overstarched brown sauce. Their crispy duck was not specially prepared in a way to maintain the crispiness of the skin. It was duck coated in battering, which they labeled as crispy. Taiwanese rice noodles are supposed to be thin and really flavorful. Theirs were regular thick mei fun noodles, a bit on the dry side, with zero flavoring, and not good aftertaste. After 6yrs, I have finally found acceptable Chinese food. China Delight is hands down the best Americanized Chinese that we've had in the Baltimore area since moving here - from downtown to the west side all the way up to Carney. The food is always consistent, the staff is always polite, they're cheaper than most other places, and the portions are so large that you can feed multiple people or have lots of leftovers for yourself. They do deliver but you have to call them, no online ordering. I'd give it 5 stars but it's not the best Chinese I've had, just the best here. Officially our go-to spot. I ordered shrimp lo mein. Got home it was chicken lo mein. I called them and they said to come exchange the food. I took it back and barely got a "I'm sorry". It took so long I missed dinner with my family (my daughter had just got home from college). This was the worst experience I have ever had with a carry out order. Took over an hour and a half to get delivered with half of the order missing. Called numerous times and was given the run around. Delivery guy said the traffic was bad but I live less than a mile away. Can't comment on the food as all that showed up was fried rice and noodles. We eat here pretty often , the food is GREAT ! The sushi is pretty good but I have had better and I have had worse ... We like to go there for the General Tao shrimp( they are sooo big!) and a few other items .
