My daughter came to visit from a different state and wanted typical NY Chinese food so her wish was my command! Yhum Yhum is the best option in my area, I'm never disappointed. It's definitely comfort food. We got egg rolls, lo mein, scallion pancakes, boneless ribs, sweet and sour chicken and generals tofu. I've also had vegetable egg foo young in the past. It was all good, just exactly what you would expect. The only one thing that I can be picky about is their scallion pancakes. It is not the flat cut into triangle version that I'm used to. They make a coil. (Think cinnamon roll) I didn't hate them but you can't make a Chinese boneless rib taco if the scallion pancake is not flat! We will live, no worries! So I've eaten here about 5-6 times in the last couple of weeks. It's become my go to for American Chinese food. What does that mean? Yellow fried rice, red food coloring roast pork and delicious egg drop soup. Lunch specials are inexpensive and a full meal can be had for under $10.00 including tip. Everything is cooked fresh and tastes fresh. I've tried everything from shrimp, chicken, broccoli, fried rice, and everything in between. Hands down a good place to get good inexpensive Chinese food. Cash and credit accepted which is another positive note. read more

The lady at the counter was friendly and warm welcoming. The gentleman who handed off the food was just as friendly. It's a small place no dine in area but it was clean even at the end of the night. The food was good, the dim sum had great flavor, definitely could of use a little more sauce. My husband had the bbq spare rib combo and said it was pretty good. I had the chicken with cashews which was really good, lots of meat, cashews and veggies. The friend rice lacked some flavor but that's probably me as I'm not a huge fan of it to begin with with. Egg rolls had a nice crunch and were quite tasty. Trying to find a good Chinese take out place around here is a chore. I think I found my new spot. We'll definitely give it another try. read more

We did a takeout from Yhum Yhum over the weekend & it was pretty good. I think it was too far for them to deliver. I especially liked the Orange Chicken which had actual orange peels mixed in - quite interesting. I think this a solid option for Chinese takeaway around our area. read more

Their food used to be good and staff used to be nice. Now food is sub-par at best and sketchy at worst. My family has been going here for YEARS but I refuse after this happened. I called to complain about the chicken and broccoli I ordered because it smelled like straight fish with a weird texture. I politely asked if I could bring it back for a refund or have something else of equal value. Guy on phone then proceeds to tell me to go f*ck myself and go somewhere else. Nice! A fantastic and probably the best Chinese restaurant in the area. Great fried rice. Delicious Egg Rolls. Shrimp with Lobster Sauce is a solid choice. Also their Pineapple Chicken is divine. Definitely worth the extra drive to get quality food in the Huntington Area. read more

I've been here before in the past but I think they've changed ownership. I ordered the hunan shrimp lunch special and general Taos chicken. I was very impressed with both dishes well made the chicken was fresh as were the vegetables and the sauces actually had some flavor. I also enjoyed the wonton soup. This might be my new Chinese takeout spot. read more

I have ordered here a couple of times. The food is good but could be better. 95% of the time I order broccoli with brown sauce and white rice. I am a vegan so I always ask them to repeat my order before I get off the phone. Because I want to make sure we are on the same page and there is no mix-up. Today my husband picked up my order and they had chicken in it. I called and told them what happened and they accused me of ordering chicken and broccoli. I told them that I am a vegan so there is no way I would've ordered chicken with my broccoli. The gentlemen got very irate and loud on the phone. He told me that I did order the chicken with the broccoli and said: "take it or leave it, goodbye," and slammed the phone. I guess he assumed that all black people eat chicken and refused to hear what I had to say. This place does not deserve to get my money. Customer service is TRASH and they should be ashamed of themselves treating their customers like that. I've told a lot of my friends and family and they are not going back as well. Been ordering and picking up food at this establishment for over 6 years now. The service is always fast and professional. Delivery is always fast and when I pick up, the food is always ready when I get there. If you're looking for quality, fresh Chinese food, this is certainly the spot. Never been disappointed, every time I try a new spot in the neighborhood for Chinese food, I'm instantly reminded of why we keep coming back to this place. Would recommend to anyone. read more

Yay!! Finally found a great Chinese takeout restaurant close to home with great service. Under the new Covid circumstances I actually called the restaurant to ask if they were open and serving and the owner was more than happy to take my order. We ordered our usual beef with broccoli, egg foo young, wonton soup, and chicken lo mein. All of the food was seasoned right, tasted good, and it was fast and affordable. I'm excited to have found a new Chinese restaurant for takeout and it surely fit the bill during this stressful time read more

A better than average take out restaurant. It's my go to place for Chinese. They never get the order wrong which is saying a lot. The only thing I would say is that they could use a little more room to cut up their cardboard boxes that they use as it takes up a lot of room and looks cluttered. read more

Stopped in for takeout, nice store front but the inside shows it's age. Customer service excellent and they are known for their jumbo egg roll so the sign says. Before I go jumbo, I'm trying the regular size one first, and it was a delicious, crispy and most importantly greaseless. Every now and then I crave chow mein and this pint size portion was so tasty and fresh. I asked for brown rice and they happily filled up a half pint portion. Wonton soup was fair, soup didn't have much flavor and the wontons were over cooked. Food was not salty as previous reviewer stated and I would definitely go back to fill my chow mein cravings again. read more

Impressed! This was my fist time, mooshu chicken was great, really liked the wraps. Egg rolls were great and not greasy. Had eggdrop wonton soup which was amazing, not over thickened, fresh tasting. This may look like any other Chinese food place, but the food here is really special. I highly recommend ordering off of the "Szechuan Special" section of the menu, all the dishes are spicy and flavorful. I particularly like that all the vegetables they use are very fresh. We have been ordering for 3 years. The food has always been decent to good. When we ordered tonight and my wife picked up the food - - no one was wearing a MASK, not the the server or the cook. We are still in a pandemic that knows no borders and I expect all service providers to where MASKS. After my wife picked up the food and we were out $25 - - I called and spoke to the main man behind the counter. I told him I wasn't looking for a refund but just wanted to reiterate my expectation and my disappointment. He told me to "find another restaurant" I will be contacting the Governor's office and the Board of Health. I will be finding another restaurant to replace this establishment's mediocre food, at best. read more

Received a menu in the mail, so we figured we would try them out. Very fresh, but inconsistent portions for the pricing. Laughable amount of rice for all the food we ordered. Scallion pancakes are the best we've had and the dumplings were equally excellent, so their apps are on point. Boneless spare ribs were a good portion and tasty. Moo shu chicken the same. Chicken and broccoli was "ehh". Wouldn't be our first choice for takeout, but with the right menu choices, it's worth it. read more
