The chairs went into zero gravity, which was nice on my pregnant back. There was one guy doing both of our massages. He was kind and massage felt great. My only "complaint" would be how he did my friends feet then moved straight to my head/shoulders.. that was a little weird for me without washing hands or anything lol. I think that if we each had our own person it wouldn't be as weird but since he was bouncing between us it was what it was. He was the only person in the whole building, so they must be understaffed. The salt room was a nice relaxing escape. The salt is in the walls, with wooden lounge chairs to relax on. It is clean, but not sterile. Over all it was a nice experience. I called to book/go back but the recording says their number has changed & there is no new number listed anywhere. When I drive by, their Mother's Day banner from last year is still up. When trying to book a massage on their website it appears every day is booked? Which is weird bc as mentioned above, it was only one guy and we were the only people in there. He even made a comment that he came in just for us and was locking up/cleaning up as we were leaving. Unsure if this place went out of business?? It kind of seems that way.

The night before her appointment my daughter told me her nose was starting to run and she thought she had allergies. The day of her appointment, it progressed very quickly to a full blown cold and her nose was really runny. She was concerned about being in a headrest and also about getting the massage therapist sick. I called to see if we could reschedule and was told it was not possible but my daughter could still come in and wear a mask on the table! I explained how terribly uncomfortable that would be and was told there are no ability to reschedule. My daughter was very much looking forward to the massage and since I live out of the area it was an important gift to help her release some of her tension. I asked to speak to the owner and gave my details and was told the owner would call me back. I never heard back and called again on May 13th, 7 days later, and asked again to speak to the owner to try to find a fair resolution for the situation. I was told the owner would call me back but have not heard back from her today. The impression that I get is that they do not care about my business. And if they don't care about my business, they don't care about your business. You may want to rethink using their services if you think you may ever be sick or have an emergency and have to miss your appointment. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of care of the owner of Jaiyen Spa. If I could give no stars, I would.

The facilities are extremely clean, and the staff are polite, professional, and attentive. After check-in, you're guided to a locker room to change into a robe before heading to your services. We started with massages. Mine was fine but not particularly memorable, while my friend had a lymphatic massage and loved it. Afterward, we spent time in the zen garden before heading to the tea garden for tea service, both of which were beautiful and relaxing. The cedar bath was the highlight. You're buried in warm shredded cedar infused with enzymes that generate heat naturally, creating a deeply relaxing experience. The session lasts about 15-20 minutes, followed by a rinse-off and shower in the same room. Overall, this was a really nice experience, though definitely a splurge. After tipping 20%, our total came out to $780. Of all the services, the cedar bath felt the most worth it since it's such a unique experience. One thing to note: I wasn't able to reach the spa by phone and had to communicate via email, so plan ahead if you need to make changes.

BEST ADVICE EVER. Even before we got there I could tell how nice and accommodating the entire staff was. we booked the upgraded little bungalow and the famous Calistoga Mud Bath. It was worth every penny to ensure my wife had the most wonderfully relaxing birthday she could imagine. The room was great, the pool and hot tubs were fantastic, the bungalow had its own soaking tub inside as well, but the mud bath was insanely relaxing and leaves your skin feeling amazing. The grounds are beautiful as well, they have bikes you can take for a spin, and bocci ball which I personally love as well. tons of great eats with 5 mins from the property. I couldn't recommend more. 10/10 Stars

I was super ecstatic sine my last massage was when I had my babymoon. I was long due for a massage ! The grounds itself was beautiful and it was cool that the spa was in an underground cave which was pretty unique . I was excited about this spa but unfortunately , the whole experience was truly disappointing. My appointment was a 2 pm for my massage . After waiting for some time I had to ask someone to find the masseuse, which already made the experience start off on the wrong note. During the massage, the technique was not what I expected. Instead of a relaxing swedish massage, it was mostly pressure points, and I left feeling tense rather than relieved. I was basically waiting for the massage to get better but it never got any better . It was probably one of the worst massages I've had in my life . My husband booked me a swedish massage and that wasn't what I got . Also for some reason while I was getting the most disappointing massage of my life the room was uncomfortably hot. I was under multiple layers of blankets ( felt like 5 ) that made me feel overheated and unable to relax . At one point I had to ask the masseuse to turn up the AC because I felt like I was overheating . After I told her this ,she then resumes to putting my toes and hands in some hot jelly like substance. Overall , the experience I had at this spa was truly disappointing especially since I was really looking forward to feel refreshed and rejuvenated & that's not the experience I got. Also , the management running this place is non existent . My husband sent them an email & still no response and that was 3 weeks ago . For a highly rated spa , this experience was really bad and I don't reccomend this place for a massage . Save yourself some money and go elsewhere .

The locker was easy to work with and could fit all of your personal items. I like how they had q-tips, shower caps, hairbrush, shaver, lotion, hair dryer, just everything you need, including plastic bag for your wet swimsuit! The waiting area was nice, I had some snacks and tea while waiting for my massage. I didn't wait long either until GENIE came and got me. She was very nice and sweet. She knew exactly what she was doing! The right amount of pressure and she focused on where I've had tension which was my shoulders and neck, also lower back. Usually I'm sure the day after but I wasn't! Which was great! I was prepared for the aftermath pain, lol. GENIE made me feel relaxed and rested. This relaxing massage was just what I needed. Thank you GENIE, you were amazing! If I lived closer to Napa, I would come see you once a month! The massage was $240 but there was a 22% service charge/tip as well. It's cheaper Mon-Thurs, Weekends more expensive. If you stay at the resort then each room has $150 credit which was nice, used it towards the massages.
