I tried Meadowlark coffee too. It was tolerable, but not good. Being from Kansas City, I did not realize how fortunate I am to have several spots with their own blend of beans, and freshly air roasted beans while you wait. But I'm so glad we stayed an extra day because we came across Cultiva Coffee. It was about 10 minutes from our hotel and it was so worth it. They also had a seasonal crêpe that had strawberries and chocolate ganache. It was so good. No, it was excellent. My husband and I almost fought over the last bite. But we were certainly measuring up the size of the bites. Lol the atmosphere was so cute and original. I absolutely loved it. I took a minute to tell them how much I appreciated them before I left, but I'm also telling you now. In addition to the Coffee, I appreciated the Service. When I ordered, the young lady never made me feel like I needed to hurry with what I was gonna say or that I wanted too many details. I appreciate this as an older person. I get tired of the impatience of young people these days and she was very kind. And the person who made the drink, made it perfectly to my liking. Not too hot to where I had to wait to drink it, but not just warm like it had been cooling off. I admit, I am very critical when it comes to my cappuccino. That's why I make it at home most the time so I can have it the way I want it. So a place that checked all the boxes is rare to me. If you try this place, I hope you have the same experience.

I told the barista how I like my coffee, which is strong, iced and sweet. I also told her I was debating between the dirty Barcelona and iced Cuban. She recommended the dirty Barcelona and it did not disappoint. However I will say it was a little too sweet for me. I'll have to try the iced Cuban next time. Nonetheless, the coffee was absolutely delicious. I finished it quickly. In addition to the amazing coffee here, I trulyenjoyed their food!! They specialize in crepes, savory and sweet, omelettes, and pancakes! Don't sleep on their food y'all. I ended up ordering a build -your-own meal which consisted of a bagel, eggs, cream cheese, and three sides; salsa, chipotle mayo and sausage. Let's just say I ate and left no crumbs. Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Frfr. My toddler got the apple pie pastry, also a 10 out of 10!! There are board games and coloring pages for kiddos. Plus merchandise and coffee beans available for purchase. There's lots of seating inside and street parking outside. The variety is excellent - whatever you like in coffee, whether you know what you want and stick to it or you're a novice, trying to find your thing or you're adventurous, looking for a new thing... they have it. But that's not why I give this place 5 stars. The space itself is excellent. It's comfortable, cozy and inviting, despite a tricky location. It's well designed and lit and has a giant window to view that actual roaster. But that's not why I give it five stars. The people love coffee... Like, they looooooove coffee! And they know coffee. I went in and they said "How can we help you?" And I said "I want to buy coffee, but I don't know what I want." And both employees lit up. They know the coffee language AND how to explain it to a novice without making you feel like a novice. And the more feedback you give, the better their next suggestion will be. The team here is camped right at the intersection of passion and knowledge and their love for it is contagious. I look forward to emptying a bag - yes, because it's delicious - but also so I can go in and talk to them again!

The drive through was busy so I decided to checkout the interior and it was very zen with lots of windows. The guys working were friendly and took turns helping customers. Since I hadn't been I told the barista and asked what are the popular coffee drinks. He recommended the Fireside which was like a white mocha with marshmallow, whole milk plus whipped cream...very sweet but delicious! Definitely something new and would order on occasion. I did look at the coffee menu online ahead of time but it was not fully updated, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I went through the drive-through and opted for an iced honey latte with oat milk. I ordered a medium and it was $8.20. Even with oat milk, $8+ seems fairly steep. For example, my recent obsession is with 7Brew where I can get a medium that has more ounces, more caffeine and a dollar less than here. The espresso quality was fine. I did appreciate that the honey flavoring seemed to be homemade rather than a premade syrup. However, the actual quality of the cup was very thin and flimsy. You'll notice in the picture I was holding it from the top because holding it like normal I was worried it was concave. With the average espresso, and very thin drinkware I'm not sure if I could justify the price. Not to say, I would never come back, I would like to try a hot espresso drink, but I am in no means rushing to go back.
