Talk about best case scenario! My winning strike continued when I found New England Collision through Yelp. These guys were pros from start to finish. They literally took care of everything for me - securing a car rental, dealing with the insurance company, going above and beyond on repairs, interior and exterior detailing - all I had to do was show up! It was hassle-free. They're a class act and are meticulous in the details; they even sent me a handwritten thank you note in the mail for choosing them for detailing. I can't recommend them enough! And then pick it up without paying out of pocket. Awesome service and work. Why only four stars? Communication. They answered the phone each time I called ( every three days or so) and were very helpful in explaining where we were in the process. I was in an accident and my car was repaired by New England Collision. Everything was wonderful until the day before the car was ready to be picked up. John called and said that the battery was not holding a charge. It was fine before the accident. We said replace it. I called the insurance company, and I misunderstood the adjustors and thought that insurance would cover it. I paid for the battery. There is a sign that says their prices include a cash discount. If paid with credit card, there would be a 4% fee added to the cost of repair. I was paying the deductible in cash, but there was no cash discount for my deductible because I was paying my insurance deductible in cash. My insurance company paid the rest, therefore, this sign was false. There was no cash discount for me and I paid the fee for paying for the battery with a credit card because I thought insurance was covering that, so I didn't have cash. When I walked out to my car, the license plate was not on it. I was told it must have been lost. Well. It was sitting on the front seat. When i opened the trunk, the wheel well cover was not replaced properly. I will have to fix that myself. These poor customer service incidents at pick up hurt the decent service I received with the repair. read more

I returned some time ago for a quote and had a poor experience. Because I once did have a good experience here, I'm going to average out to a 3 star review, but I have to say that based on the recent interaction, I wouldn't come back. For the recent visit, there were a couple unrelated items I was interested in having fixed on my car, and I couldn't get them to provide a final quote on the exact work I wanted done. When I was on-site getting the quote, the guy who took all the info and inspected my car for some reason handed off to the receptionist before finalizing our discussion. The receptionist came back with some parts prices which were required for "part B" of the job, which were far more expensive than we were expecting. Unfortunately, because the guy had left, I couldn't get into the "part A" versus "A+B" discussion. (i.e., the price if I don't get the second part done and only the first). Subsequently when I wanted a price for just part "A", all I got was a run around via email and phone. I was told to call to discuss, but each time I called, I was told the other guy's not here so I can't help you. You have my contact info, why can't you get the info and contact me instead of telling me to call you? Maybe the job was too small and they didn't really want it, but I didn't feel like a respected customer, and their antics weren't very professional. So yeah, I once went here some years ago and had a good experience, but this recent one has really soured me. read more

They did some restoration on my GMC Sierra. They had to replace the rockers and cab ends. They cut corners on the entire repair and it barely lasted a year and a half. It was bad enough that the rockers felt like cardboard when pushing on them and they were sagging off the vehicle. I went back to have them fix it, they wouldn't honor it. Considering they seem to taut themselves as a shop that does a lot of classic restorations that have rust, I was taken back. They also painted a couple body panels for me that didn't match. I needed to have them repaint 3 times to get them right. Somewhere in the process, they blew a brake line on the truck. They also did some leather restore on my seats that came out half-assed. Steer far away from these guys. The Nissan dealer across the street won't even deal with them.. they know better. read more

The damage was completely gone, the paint matched perfectly AND when I opened my car door, the interior was clean and fresh. I was blown away. (He also insisted I go through my insurance, even though I wanted to pay out of pocket). Could not have been happier with New England Collision! Someone bumped my car in a parking lot, leaving a dent in the front bumper and a few scratches. The scratches didn't bother me, but the dent did, so wanted to get that removed. I first went to another shop in the area, where they pressured me to completely replace the bumper (at around $1000) and only gave me a quote for getting out the bump (at $250) after I kept asking. At New England Collision, there was none of that: they gave a very reasonable quote for fixing the bump and all the scratches, and when I asked about the possibility of just heating it up/popping it out without any cosmetic work, they offered to do it for free! Ten minutes later, the dent was out, and they even buffed/shined off some of the scratches. Thanks Joe and John, I'll definitely be coming back if I have any other problems! Worst body shop I've been to. They'd have done a better job at Macao. After Joe telling me he'd work the deductible in for me, they call me once it's finished to tell me that it's all set but I have to pay the deductible. I figured no big deal so I went down to pay and pick up my truck. Upon examining my truck, they didn't prep the truck correctly and I had a flaw over a foot long that nobody even checked over or looked at before they tried giving it back to me. While letting joe know that i was upset over the issue, he displayed his poor customer service skills by walking away from me mid conversation and going into the back. Grated i wasnt yelling or being a dick, just talking. After a weekend of having my truck still and them racing through it again, there's still a section that they never fixed. I paid to get it out of there out of their hands. First off, how do you give a car away with a huge imperfection, then bang through it and still have it look like crap? I question the authenticity of the other reviews. Quality of work is very substandard. Came to the shop via referral, which I told the owners. Came in for 2 very minor repairs -- basically parking lot type scrapes and very minor dents. Car was returned with blatantly (and I mean OBVIOUSLY) mismatched paint color. There were also countless paint defects from dust and air bubbles, runs that were several inches long, cracked emblems and plastic parts that should have been replaced but weren't. Car was returned to them. Reminded them of the referral/relationship again and gave them a chance to redo the job. Job was redone. Called by the owners and was told the car was perfect. Went back to the shop to pick it up. Paint match was better (not perfect but close). Still TONS of paint defects. I stood in the parking lot for 2 hours while the owner wet sanded and buffed out the defects. This was not particularly successful. Eventually, they gave up and wrote a check for a partial refund and sent me on my way. The partial refund will not cover the cost to redo their very low quality work. Oh, and to make matters worse, the areas that were wet sanded and buffed are now banding and holograming due to the very poor job of buffing. I would never advise using this shop under any circumstance period. I relayed this story also to the person who referred me to the shop (independent insurance agent who has referred other clients as well). He will also discontinue referring customers to the shop. AVOID at all costs. Much as auto body shop experiences can be variable and almost never as good as new, this has been easily my worst experience ever having had repair work done on many vehicles over the last 25 years. read more
