(Due to supply chain issues I won't be able to get the boat made this year.) I've been looking for a specific Starcraft deckboat (that Petzolds currently has in stock) for almost 3 months. Even though they advertise through the internet nationally, Jordan's (Salesman) boss informed him they will not sell to anyone that is not local. The reasoning for this is because they want to service the boat. Bottom line... my money was not good enough for them even when I informed them I wished to purchase the boat. I would give their policy and customer service negative star's if possible. I'm sure Starcraft will want to hear this story as well. ~Wil

No problem....we moved the boat to the other side of the dock. A young man came out and said he couldn't sell us gas but wouldn't say why. He finally said there is a 20 gallon minimum so we said ok but he still refused to sell it to us . When we asked to speak to the manager ,he laughed and call someone else to come out side. She told us we had to wait in the harbor until someone else decided to leave and insisted the young man had said the same thing. No one at the dock was getting gas so I guess we would have had to wait until someone decided to leave.Fortunately we were able to go to Noank Boatyard and receive kind,excellent service at a cheaper price. Dodson's was rude and we will never get gas there again!

The smaller out board they fixed but charged me more than half what a new one would cost. Had I known that I would have just done it myself or bought a new one. The other one, a Suzuki 15 which was only 2 years old they told me was in horrible condition and not worth fixing and that the repairs would cost over $2K, whereas a new one could be bought for $2800. I am not a professional mechanic and never have been, nor have I ever worked on a fuel injected outboard but in the space of 4 hours and less than $100 in parts, including a injector testing tool I got it running fine. Very disappointed in this company. Not likely to do business again.
