    Lobster Roll

The Lobster Roll was packed with sumptuous chucks of fresh sweet lobster meat... decadent. Healthy portion of fried clam strips... topped off with thick creamy clam chowder. Deli style location with awesome New England sports memorabilia. Worth the stop off.

    Super Beef Platter

Walked in at 3:00pm on a Saturday afternoon and hit it just right. Plenty of tables to sit at. Nice young ladies took our orders and were very polite. Super beef platter with rings and fries and a MASSIVE pickle on the side. Great sandwich! Be prepared to use some napkins though! Some of the best rings and fries you're going to find. Really great food, no complaints. If you're in the area check out NERB.....you won't be disappointed!

NERB Rueben - Grilled corned beef

I was returning to MA from a trip on St. Patrick's Day and searched for a good Rueben along my route. Yelp pointed me to NERB. It did not disappoint! The corned beef was done perfectly, thin sliced, moist and delicious. The real deal!

The food was wonderful! Tender with no gristle/ fat on the steak and cheese. The roast beef practically melts in your mouth! Service was friendly and efficient. The place had lots of Red Sox and other Boston sports decor. Right up my alley!

    HUGE sub. But very bland.

Picking up some beer at Greater Good and I heard this place had good subs, so I figured I'd give it a go. First of all ... getting here is a pain in the ass. I think its fair to say that "Wuh-stah" drivers are among the worst in the world and the most aggressive. When coming towards Park Ave. there is a section where you have only a few feet to cut across 5 lanes of busy traffic to get in the left turn lanes so you can U-Turn. This gauntlet of road rage alone gives me pause to attempt a trip here again. The shop is small and cute in a 1980's sort of way. Folks in MA like their subs, or 'grine-dahs' (grinders) as they say in Wuh-Stah. Lots of hockey stuff on the walls. There is a LOT on the menu to choose from. The entry area is not exactly ideal during covid as once you order, there isn't anywhere out of the way to stand as you wait. I called in my sub 10 minutes before pick up and still had to wait 5 minutes. It was pretty crowded around 1 pm. The Steak Bomb sub itself ... was bland and dry. It did not have much taste and the more salt and pepper I added, all I could taste was the bread. The steak was not juicy or greasy the way a good philly steak should be. It honestly was like eating attic insulation. The cardinal sin was that they put slices of American cheese on TOP of the sandwich and wrapped it. All that cheese stuck to the foil wrap. Any good Philly steak place puts the cheese in with the meat on the grill so it melts in with the meat. That would have solved the dryness problem and part of the blandness problem. (Actually seasoning the meat would also help.) The reason this place gets so much business is the subs are HUGE! Almost ridiculously so. There is only a Large sub and it is big. I'd def. not be able to eat a whole one on my own and I'm a big eater. Kind of a waste as, unlike an Italian sub, you can't reheat an already rubbery Philly Steak sandwich. A small size (half the large) would work better. However, Worcester is a XXL kind of city, so I am sure not too many people have issues polishing off these ridiculously overstuffed subs. The online prices were cheaper than the actual prices by a bit ... I feel like $11 for a sub is a bit on the pricey side for me. However seeing how huge the subs are, it would be hard to complain. I think I ordered wrong. The Philly Steak wasn't the way to go. I'll come back and try the Italian or the Super Roastbeef. They looked like they had soups and wings and some seafood as well. The prices here are sit-down restaurant sized in a sub shop. My food was really a 2 star affair ... however I am bumping up to 3 because this place is popular among locals and I probably should have stuck with the roast beef.

One of their specials. Hawaiian ham grilled chicken sandwich. So good.

New England Roast Beef is definitely the place to go if you're craving delicious sandwiches and roast beef. Service is quick and food is spot on. Recently tried one of their special--the Hawaiian ham grilled chicken sandwich. Super tasty sandwich if you are a sucker for pineapples. Love it. My wife had the clam strip roll and she enjoyed as well. If you opt for a meal, you get onion rings AND fries. When I placed the order I thought it was just one or the other. But you get both--with generous offerings too. If I recall correctly, they do beer battered onion rings and fries. Good stuff. Definitely the place to order if you're craving some sandwiches, subs, roast beef, etc in the Woo. They are currently offering indoor dining and/or takeout. Delivery also through food delivery apps. Enjoy.

My fiancé and I had been having a lot of trouble finding a venue that could host our crowd at a reasonable price, so we were beyond thrilled when Birchtree not only accommodated our 60 guests beautifully, but we actually ended up under budget. From start to finish, the service was phenomenal. The team was genuinely invested in making sure our night was perfect. They went above and beyond in every way and more than accommodated anything we needed. We had an outpouring of texts the next day from our guests. So many people let us know how beautiful the venue was and how wonderful of a time they had. The space itself truly showed a refined elegance which was the perfect kickoff to our wedding season. If you're thinking about working with BirchTree, Jayne, Caitlin, and the entire staff we're incredibly organized and attentive to detail, helping us set up, pack up, and even ensured all guests had clean tables, fresh drinks, and the bar staff recommended really unique cocktails & mocktails! We are so grateful to the entire BirchTree team, especially Jayne and Caitlin for helping us set the tone for our wedding. We would absolutely recommend having an event here - you will be in the best hands!

Cool higher end culinary items for purchase and some other weird but welcome items like handmade soap! Good community posting board! Chill vibes and surly baristas that make you feel like you're in a bigger city! What I don't love: there are never signs telling what the baked items are, so you literally have to ask one by one at every visit- as does every single person in line. It makes me feel guilty for the people behind me and I often rush before fully exploring my options. This is made worse when I bring my small indecisive child, so I go elsewhere when I have him with me. Also- 90% of the time that I have asked, the attending barista isn't certain what the baked items are and says something like "I think that one is an apricot and cheese danish. Or cheese and some fruit. I'm not positive." At Crust's prices, I'd like to know what I'm buying and I would appreciate time to make a decision. Why won't you tell us what your yummy pastries are?? Lastly- the automatic tipping options are so high (this is coming from someone who never tips below 20%) that it makes me wonder if you're paying your employees appropriately, or expecting tips to make up the difference. If you were to change one thing and one thing only from this feedback, PLEASE consider labeling your baked goods! I truly cannot think of a good reason why not to.
