This place is super yummy. LIke the other reviewers - I agree the neighborhood used to be very poor but there are people in the area who are trying to turn it around. Needless to say, I was scared to go there years ago but a friend begged me and now that the area is cleaning up I go once every few months. The owner is a reason to go just to meet. He is a barrel ( no pun intended) of information. He will talk politics with you for hours. Its a very New England homey feeling place. I have gone to this place my whole life for breakfast and lunch. The food is yummy and the prices are extremely afforadable they have the best ommlettes and homefries. The pancakes are great too.
