After having read several reviews about this establishment my wife and I decided to go there for lunch today. Delicious sandwiches that we each brought home half. The bread, everything was delicious. Great service that you can see makes you feel welcome. The café has ten tables and was perfect to tuck into our lunch!

I stayed with a traditional Italian and my husband ordered the Bomba panini (it's really not a panini, because it wasn't flat at all, but they told us that when we ordered). They told us we could have a seat in the cafe and they would bring it out to us when our sandwiches were ready. We wondered over to the cafe which is a short walk with shelves of all sorts of imported cooking staples to buy. The cafe has about 10 tables or so and they also have a coffee bar in there where you order coffees and such. They brought our sandwiches out and they were huge. My Italian was delicious and my husband said his Bomba was one of the best sandwiches he ever had (yay! I found another good place!). After we were done (I was stuffed) my husband got a piece of tiramisu and loved it, I also grabbed a bite and I had to agree it was great. We would have grabbed more baked goods to go, but it was extremely hot out and we weren't planning on going home for awhile (next time we'll bring a cooler!). Our 2 grinders, a bottle of water and the tiramisu came to $28. and change. We are definitely adding this to our list of great places to grab a quick bite!!

After seeing the great ratings on yelp and finally being in the area to give this gem a try - I am happy to say this great little family owner bakery/sandwich/coffee shop was phenomenal. I had an amazing chicken cordon blu sandwich , it had lots of flavor, nice tender chicken and all fresh ingredients. Portions are large for the price. Very reasonable ! Staff was super friendly, I will be back next time I am in the area. Give them a try if you haven't already, you will be a repeat customer for sure. read more

Driving home from Boston to NYC, on the highway and I asked my son to find us a place for a breakfast sandwiches about 20 minutes from where we were. Walked in and thought "mom and pop spot, could use a facelift". Well, after I ate the food, I could care less about the decor!!!!! WOW. Fresh made bread daily!! Thought a couple egg sandwiches and a coffee and we were good, until I saw that mound of Italian meat staring at me!!!!! I went Italian combo, but with fresh mutz instead of provolone. Dont judge me, I love fresh mutz!!!! It was amazing. Son went with eggplant parm hero and daughter had Mediterranean chicken sandwich. They were all phenomenal. And now the good stuff!!!! The rainbow cookies were good, as good as most places. But the lobster tail pastry, stuffed with custard/cream mix was outstanding!!!! The baklava was great. The cannoli cake was excellent. If this was within 25 miles of home, I would drive here for lunches and pastries. Absolutely. Family owned and operated. Very friendly. Mangia!!!!!! read more

First off, the food is AMAZING! my favorites are the almond tiramisu, cream horn, and cannolis- but legit EVERYTHING is delicious! the savory food is incredible as well, steak and cheese, Italians, and chicken parm are my go to's. their bread is made fresh daily and you can't beat that. My caprese salad was not to my satisfaction. Very disappointed. No fresh basil. There was only 1/2 cup shredded lettuce you would put on a sandwich and the tomatoes were not local or fresh and two out the four had a large core in the middle. The chicken and mozzarella cheese was good as was the balsamic dressing but overall I was very disappointed. It didn't even come with a piece of bread. Never again. read more

A menu board is posted over the order counter and two soft drink coolers to choose a bottled beverage from are next to the cashier. The menu offers a variety of sandwiches, salads and soups. There are a lot of sauces you can add to your sandwich if the menu doesn't specify what condiments are included. You can also make your sandwich a 'platter' if you want to add fries, onion rings and coleslaw to your sandwich. I ordered the roast beef and asked for horse radish sauce. There was a *lot* of sauce on this sandwich. So much so, that was all I could really taste so I'm not sure if I actually like their roast beef or not. I should have asked if I could get it 'on the side' I suppose. Live and learn. From what I could see under the sauce, the roast beef is cooked very rare. It was difficult to chew through and with all that sauce it made for a very messy meal. We ate in their dining room which is a small, pleasant space with lots of old photos of Worcester. The napkins available at the table are kind of useless. They smear the mess, they don't mop it up. I used a LOT of napkins trying to keep tidy while eating my sandwich. The fries were very good when hot. Crispy outside, fluffy inside. The coleslaw was almost without flavor. Salt and pepper are on the table. You're going to want those. Just watch that salt shaker, it comes out FAST! There is one restroom for all guests at the back, past the kitchen. It's clean and in good working condition.

Ain't nobody got time to wade through an entire menu to find something they can eat. I ultimately settled on the grilled veggie pocket and requested, IN ALL CAPS FOR EMPHASIS, no onions and mushrooms PLEASE. We also ordered their mac and cheese to share. I'll start with the good. The mac and cheese was DELICIOUS. It's covered in breadcrumbs and croutons, which is an interesting addition. The sauce is creamy and the noodles were a touch al dente. It was just as good when we warmed up the leftovers the following day. Unfortunately they completely disregarded my request for no onions or mushrooms. If they were unable to do that because the mix is pre-made, which is actually kinda gross as I imagine refrigeration is required and this defeats the purpose of "grilled", they could have done what other places have done which is CALL ME. What if I had an anaphylactic allergy? Fortunately, I don't, but was faced with the decision point of either just not having anything to eat other than a shared portion of mac and cheese or ripping through the pita and sifting through each of the vegetables individually to remove the onions and mushrooms which was EXCRUCIATING to do because the onions were tiny strips. Sigh. There was also no other component besides grilled veggies in a sauce in a pita and the bottom of the pita was soggy. Fuck this place. I will never order from here again.

The home fries needed seasoning, badly. The omelette was good. Mainly carried by the feta. We did agree on the coffee: not favorably. It "delivered the goods," but it wasn't very good. Baked Alaska is not all that hard to make, but so few restaurants offer it and the ones that do are usually a littel up-scale and eclectic. The woman on the register was also making the coffees/teas and there was one man making all the crepes. One weird thing to note because as a mom, I always like to know: at least one of the bathrooms had a changing table which I appreciate so much. I think I'd definitely come again & just hope it's not busy. Might try a savory crepe next time!

I had such a great experience at Palma's Bakery! Their Italian subs are seriously some of the best around--fresh bread, high-quality ingredients, and packed with flavor. You can tell they put care into everything they make. What really sets this place apart is the variety of international food items they carry. It's such a unique spot where you can grab an amazing sub and also explore different specialty products you won't find at a typical store.
