Not sure how this spot only has three stars... Staff is knowledgeable and insanely friendly for the area. Roast beef is always juicy and on point. They say never meet your hero's because you will most likely be disappointed. Well now I know the feeling . I was so excited to try a famous roast beef sandwich after watching all the reviews , it looks amazing . Definitely has a chain restaurant vibe , between a chick-fil-a and a jersey mikes, so competition is tough . The manager was very nice , friendly greeting and store very clean. I got the 3 way large roast beef meal with onion rings . Over $20 . Not sure if the meat was supose to be hot or cold , it was Luke warm at best . And the sauce was drizzled all over the outside of the sandwich , none on the inside , what a mess. And a piece of American cheese that wasn't even slightly melted because of the lukewarm sandwich. I needed up taking the sandwich apart and just eating it piece by piece. I was very disappointed considering all the great reviews . The onion rings were very good . read more

I ate at one of the Kelly's Roast Beef chains on the North shore of MA and it was one of the most delicious sandwiches I've had. Driving through the Woo, I saw a Kelly's and made a bee line hoping to recreate my first experience. The bottom line ... like anything else in Worcester Kelly's is complete garbage. I don't know how two sandwiches made of the same materials could be so different. I got the same thing ... a large roast beef done the suggested way ... lettuce, mayo and BBQ sauce, with extra BBQ sauce for dipping. First of all, the ordering system is crazy. The cashier had no idea what he was doing. The manager had to come over and help him. When the order was in, he pushed a sign with a number towards me without saying anything. So, I took it and went to a table. 5 minutes went by ... then 10 minutes ... at 15 minutes, I asked about my food. 'One second' said the employee as he walked back into the kitchen. 'It will be right out.' 5 more minutes go by. At the 25 minute mark of waiting, I ask for a refund and I'll go on my way. I can't wait any longer. We both look to the kitchen,'s expediting counter in the back, at the same time, where a sandwich has been sitting for 20 minutes. 'I guess this is yours.' says the manager and takes the sandwich off the shelf and drops it on the counter in front of me. I take a bite ... ice cold. The manager knew the staff made a mistake and didn't offer to make a fresh/hot one ... or even toss this in the microwave. For a few minutes to warm it back up. It was pretty tasteless. The one I got on the North shore just tasted better. The bun wasn't as buttery/grilled. The beef didn't seem to have as good a taste and the condiments just tasted too sweet. I won't be back to this location and it's no wonder it was almost completely empty on a Thursday at around 4 p.m. At almost $15 for a single sandwich, underwhelming should not be a thing! read more

TBH, this one of my fav spots when I'm craving something filling. The food was delicious and the visit was smooth from start to finish.

Kelly's has great food and is a much better deal than that chicken place next door...except they close at 7pm. SEVEN PM?! WTF?! I drove half an hour to get here only to find that they closed 20 minutes ago. How are they not open until at least 8 or 9 in this college town? (They should open a few along I-495 so I don't have to drive so far for my fix.) read more

Excellent roast beef sandwiches! Service was a little slow, but good. The restaurant was neat and clean. My husband is from the north shore so he grew up going to the original Kelly's. When he heard this location opened up (as close to CT as you can get) he thought we should take a day trip making this one of our stops. We both ordered large roast beef sandwiches, I got the combo with onion rings to share and we also got mozzarella sticks to share. Everything came to the table hot, the onion rings and mozzarella sticks crunchy. The roast beef was so tasty, and the sandwich was packed with meat! There is nothing like this in CT, if only they'd open a Kelly's in the good ol' nutmeg state! My husband was very happy to get his roast beef fix. We shall return! read more

Second time I visited the restaurant for lunch in Worcester, and again I was not disappointed. I ordered their roast beef on an onion roll. Very good. Both times I visited, they were constantly ensuring the tables and floors were spotless. I'm impressed that they have someone cleaning all the time, and come around asking if everything is fine with your order. The employees at this site care. read more

Gotta say I'm disappointed. Back in the 70's I frequented Kelly's in Revere and loved their roast beef sandwiches, fried clams and clam chowder. In the ensuing 45 years plus I was living out of the area. I visited the new Kelly's that opened in Worcester 2 days ago and it was just ok. I had their 3-way, which they claim to be known for (cheese, mayo and BBQ sauce) which I do not remember ever having in Revere back in the day. Can't say I enjoyed the cheese and mayo. Roast beef and roll were good, but would have benefited from more BBQ sauce. They do offer a variety of toppings. So will try the more traditional roast beef next time and must try their fried clams. I do tend to be more of a Rhode Island clear chowder guy, so may pass on their chowder. Hopefully my assessment will improve after they have settled in. This is a brand new restaurant, which is very clean and nice inside, with plenty of off-street parking. read more

Absolutely love that there's a drive-thru. It was super convenient with my sleeping baby in the backseat. It wasn't necessarily "fast" though, which was fine. I got the steak & cheese with fries. The fries were okay and the sub was good but salty. I appreciated that the person taking my order asked if the onions that came with it were okay. The Kelly's Roast Beef In Worcester Has Similar Quality to the one back in Boston with no fall off to the standards. Although it is a chain now the service was kind and sweet and offers various discounts for students and elders 10/10 would recommend if you want good roast beef sandwich, seafood or overall grilled food Kelly's is where you should go amazing. Just has good vibes and ambiance surrounding the area definitely would bring your friends or family to enjoy a good meal out. read more

Yesterday (27Feb26), I was ordering a meal using the self-checkout kiosk before 7pm, when ready to pay the kiosk turned off. Waiting for the staff until available (+5min) and explained what happened to the cashier. Then, the lady just told me, sorry we are now closed, I will not take your order. Unbelievable!!! I was inside the restaurant for more than 20min and other people still waiting for their orders!! Very but very bad customer service!!! I will never order from your place anymore! read more

Can't rate the food or ambiance on this one because although I waited in the drive through line, drove around to see if there was anyone in there, saw someone with headsets on and went back, I wasn't able to get any food. If there was a sign on the window or the door that said they weren't taking orders, I would understand but there wasn't so it was a bit disappointing. read more

I grew up eating the original Kelly's roast Beef. It had been exceptional throughout all the years... After relocating to central Mass, I would always stop at the "original' location if I was in the area. Needless to say that I was very excited to hear of them coming to Worcester. Well yesterday I ordered the original RB with the usual condiments, including horseradish, (which they forgot). I left and couldn't wait to take a bite! Well, the RB was rare as requested but it was dry and apparently old. The roll was fresh but it had the distinctive flavor and odor of "old fried food" similar to when you buy frys and the fryolator oil has not been changed. This changed my desire to eat this sandwich! Don't waste your money. My wife and I usually use New England Roast Beef down the road with great success. However since Kelly's opened here we wanted to try it as it's such a Boston staple. Ordered delivery through Kelly's site - the door dash driver sat in a parking lot for 30+ minutes and didn't move an inch. Didn't answer his phone, Kelly's unable to help because not their driver (which I understand). Food finally arrived, cold and soggy. Onion rings missing from my order, had about 7-10 french fries to work with. Clam chowder watery like scan of Campbell's soup, we dumped it out. Roast beef sandwiches bland, just unimpressive all around and to top it off this meal cost us over $100 when factoring in tax delivery and tip. We rarely get takeout and this was supposed to be a treat. Back to NERB, will not be returning to Kelly's. read more
