Roast beef on onion roll, plus onion rings

Second time I visited the restaurant for lunch in Worcester, and again I was not disappointed. I ordered their roast beef on an onion roll. Very good. Both times I visited, they were constantly ensuring the tables and floors were spotless. I'm impressed that they have someone cleaning all the time, and come around asking if everything is fine with your order. The employees at this site care.

Absolutely love that there's a drive-thru. It was super convenient with my sleeping baby in the backseat. It wasn't necessarily "fast" though, which was fine. I got the steak & cheese with fries. The fries were okay and the sub was good but salty. I appreciated that the person taking my order asked if the onions that came with it were okay. I'd probably go again and try something else.

Can't rate the food or ambiance on this one because although I waited in the drive through line, drove around to see if there was anyone in there, saw someone with headsets on and went back, I wasn't able to get any food. If there was a sign on the window or the door that said they weren't taking orders, I would understand but there wasn't so it was a bit disappointing.

Focus on drive ups and ignore your in store customer. Super DRY beef, though there was a lot of it. Not going to hurry back.

TBH, this one of my fav spots when I'm craving something filling. The food was delicious and the visit was smooth from start to finish.

We both ordered large roast beef sandwiches, I got the combo with onion rings to share and we also got mozzarella sticks to share.

A menu board is posted over the order counter and two soft drink coolers to choose a bottled beverage from are next to the cashier. The menu offers a variety of sandwiches, salads and soups. There are a lot of sauces you can add to your sandwich if the menu doesn't specify what condiments are included. You can also make your sandwich a 'platter' if you want to add fries, onion rings and coleslaw to your sandwich. I ordered the roast beef and asked for horse radish sauce. There was a *lot* of sauce on this sandwich. So much so, that was all I could really taste so I'm not sure if I actually like their roast beef or not. I should have asked if I could get it 'on the side' I suppose. Live and learn. From what I could see under the sauce, the roast beef is cooked very rare. It was difficult to chew through and with all that sauce it made for a very messy meal. We ate in their dining room which is a small, pleasant space with lots of old photos of Worcester. The napkins available at the table are kind of useless. They smear the mess, they don't mop it up. I used a LOT of napkins trying to keep tidy while eating my sandwich. The fries were very good when hot. Crispy outside, fluffy inside. The coleslaw was almost without flavor. Salt and pepper are on the table. You're going to want those. Just watch that salt shaker, it comes out FAST! There is one restroom for all guests at the back, past the kitchen. It's clean and in good working condition.

My fiancé and I had been having a lot of trouble finding a venue that could host our crowd at a reasonable price, so we were beyond thrilled when Birchtree not only accommodated our 60 guests beautifully, but we actually ended up under budget. From start to finish, the service was phenomenal. The team was genuinely invested in making sure our night was perfect. They went above and beyond in every way and more than accommodated anything we needed. We had an outpouring of texts the next day from our guests. So many people let us know how beautiful the venue was and how wonderful of a time they had. The space itself truly showed a refined elegance which was the perfect kickoff to our wedding season. If you're thinking about working with BirchTree, Jayne, Caitlin, and the entire staff we're incredibly organized and attentive to detail, helping us set up, pack up, and even ensured all guests had clean tables, fresh drinks, and the bar staff recommended really unique cocktails & mocktails! We are so grateful to the entire BirchTree team, especially Jayne and Caitlin for helping us set the tone for our wedding. We would absolutely recommend having an event here - you will be in the best hands!

The condiments are perfectly balanced, and the ingredients are so fresh that a simple sandwich turns into something incredibly flavorful. The women working here are absolute sweethearts. On my last visit, I called back three separate times to tweak my toppings, and each time, they were so kind and accommodating. By the third call, we laughed about it together--it was never a bother to them, just another example of their friendly and welcoming service. The space itself is small, so it's more of a grab-and-go spot than a dine-in experience, but that just adds to its charm. The efficiency of the service and the cozy, tucked-away feel make it the perfect little sandwich spot. Highly recommend! Honestly very heavy and was glad I split the one size they had with a friend. It would have been too much. There was a little layer of oil on top too. The Faux Fiz mocktail I got was good. However, a lot of "spices". I ended up requesting more ginger beer and lime to cut it. That helped. But overall good quality drink. The Atlantic salmon crudo was very interesting. Nothing close to what I expected. It was gross. Really thick salmon over globs of a black garlic aioli. The ratio was so off. It was so pasty. I am shocked they haven't reviewed that item on their menu. Usually crudos are so nice and light. This was not. The wild Spanish octopus was the better of the three dishes. Just needed some more salt. Or more of the chorizo would have sufficed. I was surprised that this place was nothing like it used to be. Will not be back :(
