I had high hopes for our vacation rental through Del Mar, especially given the price tag…read more Unfortunately, it was an utter failure, as the house they gave us was irreparably broken. First, the A/C upstairs did not work, and it was 85 degrees on the second floor when we arrived (which should have been alerted and resolved before we arrived because the cleaning staff had been there that day). It took DAYS for Del Mar to have a third-party technician diagnose the A/C as unfixable (due to it being a very old, outdated unit that was not maintained properly). Del Mar then had window units delivered, which worked fine - but that was after two nights of not being able to sleep on the second floor. Second, the pool/spa iPad lost its connection, so we forfeited a full day in the pool because they couldn't find the homeowners to get the password to reset the iPad. (Why Del Mar didn't have this password is beyond me.) Even when it was back to working, the spa temp wouldn't regulate and it consistently went up to the max temp (104 degrees) even though we set it much lower. Third, the firepit was broken. When we arrived, it was uncovered and filthy. We had a technician come out to clean it, but it still never worked. There were some smaller things too, like the microwave overheated while cooking popcorn and set off the house fire alarm (for which we never even received outreach from anyone to see if it was a false alarm or if the house was on fire). The kicker was that we asked Del Mar for a refund for the substantial trouble we had - not only with a broken-down house but for all the time we spent tracking down Del Mar and waiting for technicians - and they offered us a piddly and truly offensive partial refund. I really have never been so mistreated after spending this much money, and I will absolutely never use Del Mar Properties again. One of the third-party techs who came to the house even noted that he visited a lot of Del Mar properties that had similar maintenance issues and that their reputation amongst locals is for giving sham luxury - looks fancy and high-end from a distance but has a lot of hidden issues. Oh, and the true icing on the cake is that Del Mar TURNED OFF my ability to write a review on their website, which is so dishonest and disgraceful. I noted that the only reviews on their website are 5-star reviews, which tracks since they don't even allow dissatisfied customers to write reviews. I feel totally scammed.

Very comfortable along with everything we needed, plates glasses, pots ,pans etc. the bed is comfy and the view is stunning. Very clean and tidy.Tim the property manager is very pleasant and helpful. We highly recommend this unit if available as some other units do not have as nice of a view as this one. There are many nice restaurants to enjoy with plenty of other things to do or just walk across the street plop your beach chair down and enjoy the beach!

Everybody I know has always told me I need a vacation, so this year, my boyfriend and I decided to take one. I selected a few places and bookmarked them on my laptop and had my boyfriend take a look at them and call the places he was interested in. We narrowed it down to two options, and Oceanside Condos was one of the two. While I was at work, he called and spoke with Jackie. When I got home, he had a lot of information written down that Jackie had provided, and told me that she was very friendly. We pondered the idea for about a week, then booked the room. Finally, our vacation day came. When we arrived, Jackie greeted us by name and was very helpful, providing us with a list of places in the area, and she even went through the list with us and told us what the best places in the area were. We checked into our room; it was even more beautiful than what the pictures had depicted. The view from our balcony, overlooking the pool and the ocean, was to die for. The room was clean from top to bottom. They supplied pots and pans for guests, so we were able to cook if we didn't feel like going out to eat. The first two days, the weather was wonderful. Other than that, it was rather yucky out, but we still made the best of our vacation. Regardless of how the weather was, the view from our room remained beautiful. Rain or shine, we were at the beach at least once a day. Every time we walked [or drove] by the office, Jackie greeted us with a smile and waved to us. Also, there is a really nice man named Dave that watches over the place at night, which made us feel more comfortable and secure, considering neither of us knew the area that well. Both Jackie and Dave are really sweet and do their jobs well. They gave us plenty of privacy, and at the same time, they were always there if we had any sort of question. They were even nice enough to allow me to use their office phone to call my father when I had lost my phone on the beach. At Oceanside Condos, we both felt welcome. All in all, I would strongly recommend Oceanside Condos to anybody who is looking for an affordable vacation with a great ocean view. Like any other place you will stay at, there are rules to be followed, such as no animals on the property, no glass bottles in the pool area, and a maximum of four guests per room (per Massachusetts occupancy laws). I don't find these rules unnecessary at all, for the owners are just doing their job and protecting their license. Therefore, if you don't like following rules, this probably isn't the place for you. But if you're looking to rent a beautiful, affordable condo on the ocean with the friendliest staff you will ever meet, I promise this will be the place for you. Thank you, Jackie and Dave, for allowing us to spend a week with you. We will be returning next year.

The water is warm, calm and no undertow. Owners are accommodating and on site.

The inn is right on the beach and the prices are super affordable. I do go off season so that helps with the pricing. Breakfast is not served in the off season but I'm happy to bring food and make my own. There is a room at the basement level with a mini-fridge and basket for each room to store their food. There is also a closet with pots/pans, etc. and a stove for the guests' use. The eating area is my favorite spot with two tables, a coffee pot, tea pot, toaster, mini-fridge, dishes, and a wall of glass looking out onto the ocean. It is a very casual, comfortable place. Perhaps the casualness of it is what caused the only negatives I've encountered (but not negative enough for it not to be THE place for me). Once a mother and daughter were in the common room having a long and heated discussion/ argument. Another time a young boy took over the TV on a rainy day and stayed there for hours even though he could have used the TV in his room. I think people stay here so often that they get very comfortable, get to know the owners and act as though it's their house. Or maybe they are just inconsiderate. The Beach House Inn is my favorite place, I love bringing different people with me each time so they can experience it, and I can't imagine going anywhere else on the Cape.

The grounds are tidy and include a small pool and plenty of trees for shade. Parking spots are spacious. The rooms are clean and well appointed with all the amenities you might want or need (coffee maker, mini fridge, small table and chairs, plenty of lamps, flat-screen TV, multiple phone charger outlets, etc.). The bathrooms have been recently renovated with terrific shower heads, good water pressure, and spacious sinks. Big thumbs up all around.

The Inn's 'Cape Crusaders Beth & Jay provided a verdant roadmap to the local wetland trails, baywalks and fresh fish and watering holes. The Inn was cerebral, serene, and a veritable de-stress capade. And the price was more reasonable than so many other Inns we've visited on the Cape. P.E.R.F.E.C.T!
