My first time here, and let me tell you, not my last! My expectations were exceeded in taste and service. Drinks were fantastic, food was excellent, wait staff was great. My husband said it was one of the best meals he has had in quite some time!

My first time here, great atmosphere, quiet and peaceful. Waiter was very attentive and polite. The food was sooooo good. You can tell they take the time to make it right. Truly authentic and delicious.

Only going 2 stars based mostly on the customer service. Food was decent. Was in a mostly empty restaurant and the service was as unhelpful and unfriendly as could possibly be. Asked for recommendations - didn't get any. When we got drinks there was no ice in them and got no straws. Got a straw for my friend but didn't get me one - so had to ask again and could see he was visibly put off by it. Food took forever. Had to go up to waiter to ask for check. No greeting on the way in or out. Never came by to see how things were or for refills on drinks. Wouldn't recommend, and wouldn't return.

Took over an hour for the food to be ready since ordered.. Saw good reviews so I decided to check the place out but was extremely disappointed. The goat was so impossible to chew that after a few pieces my jaw was on fire. The garlic naan was pretty bad as well. The momos and mango lassi were the only good part about what we tried. What we ordered was not worth the price nor wait. This place has no comparison to Curry Leaf down the block.

Sooo spicy!! But tastes good! Waitress and waiter are chilling people which is normal for their culture ;) . They give us a lot of food for a good price. There's a nice view near a governor capital.

Food was AMAZING. Best butter chicken and garlic naan ever. Delicious steamed momos. Best strawberry margarita I've ever had. Highly recommend this place!! Excellent service.

Been waiting to give this newish spot in Hampton a try, and glad we did. We love Indian food, and…read moreusually have to drive to points north or south of Hampton to enjoy. We dined fairly early on a Friday evening and the restaurant quickly filled up. Since they are not located on the beach, there is plenty of parking. This location was formerly a pizza hut, but they did a nice job converting to a pleasant dining room. Service was very friendly, pleasant and efficient, and we enjoyed all the food we ordered. As others mention, portions are large (we took food home), and we found the prices to be fair, given the ever increasing cost of food lately. We started with an order of Pakora and onion bhaji. When the dish arrived I thought we were given the wrong order as the plate had what looked like patties, and not the usual shape of these items that we have had at other Indian restaurants. Appearance aside, we found them to taste as we expected. Perhaps a regional difference? We stuck to some of the more common dishes we have ordered so that we could compare to other restaurants. Chicken Tikka Masala and Palak Paneer were both delicious. The menu has everything that you might expect as well as some dishes I've not had. Extensive Biryani and Tandoori offerings as well. We are looking forward to trying some new dishes when we visit again. Give them a try, something new and different for Hampton!

Lunch at Annapurna yesterday turned out to be an excellent choice. I got the chance to try not just…read moreone but THREE new foods in one meal, and the whole experience was both fun and delicious. We got a table right in the window early in the lunch hour, but for a Saturday it filled quickly so we were glad we got there when we did. The seating was spacious and attractive, and even when it got fuller didn't feel crowded. Our server was fabulous- not only knowledgable about the dishes, but ready with advice and suggestions, all of which worked out well. We started with the Annapurna tea with ghee and salt (new food #1!) which was a nice change of pace and I will definitely order again. For entrees we had the Buff Sukuti Dhido, Fish Thali, and goat biryani. The dhido (new food #2) is a lot like fufu in texture but wheat based, while the buff sukuti (new food #3) is sort of a spiced buffalo jerky. This had a great texture and flavor for my tastes. If you want to try the dhido with something a bit more familiar there are other options like chicken or goat. We did get the goat in the biryani and that was very good and came with a yogurt sauce two balance the flavor and heat. For the thali we got fish. Both the thali and dhodi came with several sides (greens, dal, potatoes, pickles, etc) which complemented the dishes well. Although two of our dishes (the thali and dhodi) were designed as dishes that one could eat individually, we actually shared all of our dishes which made for a super fun selection. There are many familiar south Asian dishes on the menu, but I definitely recommend a sense of adventure in approaching the menu because there are some really good new items to try at Annapurna. Tip: If you have leftover dhodi you can fry it up the next day.

The food was good, but nothing too special and have tasted better…read more Slow service, but was a weekday afternoon so can understand that. Restaurant lacked music or much character, very quiet and plain. Will try again in the next few months.
