I am sorry to write this review. I have been going to this spa since 2000 when they were located on Main Street. I went about two years ago at this new location and was not impressed and my experience recently confirmed they are more concerned about making money than providing good service. We called for an appointment and we were told to come. When we got there the elevator was not working (not working for several days) but was not told ahead of time. If they and they did - tell your customers ahead of time. The service was just okay and has fallen off considerably. There was no other customers and I could tell why. There are many options for Korean spa and they should be explored. It's not worth the cost. My sister gifted my girlfriend and I a couples massage for Christmas and we redeemed it this week for our anniversary. All-in-all it was a great experience. Even with the gift voucher they charged a $50 tax and service fee which they asked for up front. Kind of odd to me, but at least it wasn't sprung on us at the end. I purchased the package on August 13 as a gift for my birthday through the Groupon website. Immediately afterward, I called to make an appointment. I then visited the website again and saw that taxes and the service fee were not included, and their amounts were not specified. I decided to investigate further and read numerous negative reviews. My heart was uneasy while reading them, and I wondered whether I should cancel and heed the reviews or take a chance and experience it for myself. Having resolved to proceed, I attended my scheduled appointment. At 2:00 p.m. today, I arrived at the spa and informed the receptionist that I had an appointment. She acknowledged this but informed me that I needed to pay $53 for taxes and the service fee before receiving any services. I was shocked and asked why I should pay before any work had been performed. Although initially reluctant to continue, I found the staff to be very sympathetic and reassuring, promising to provide me with excellent service. I agreed and paid the $53. I respect all those who have expressed their opinions regarding their experiences at this spa. However, I believe that not everyone will have the same experience, and sometimes it is best to follow one's own judgment. The staff member who assisted me was named Gina. While observing her, I noted that she worked very hard and gave me the best service I have ever received. She explained that they request payment for taxes and fees in advance because some customers do not tip after services are rendered. I also want to thank Lily the owner, I had the pleasure of meeting--thank you for hiring wonderful people like Gina and for letting me express my feelings and thoughts regarding the taxes and service fees. Lily is very kind, caring about her clients and employees. Making their best to please and gave the best experience to each of their customers. In my opinion, these employees deserve to receive tips. Although it is their chosen profession, they are earning a living and work hard--scrubbing the body, giving massages, and performing facials. Their work is not easy. I had an excellent experience and sincerely thank Gina for her outstanding service. Definitely will come back again very soon. I highly recommend giving the Four Seasons Spa a try and experiencing it for yourself. as they offer a wide range of services and employ a dedicated, hardworking staff, especially Gina. This place left the most sour taste in my mouth. They initially told me that with the groupon voucher I had I would need to pay an additional $160 service fee. After much hesitation and continually asking if this is correct, she then stayed it was $53 and made a "mistake". After the service, despite giving $53 in service fees, I gave an additional $30 tip when the lady said "you should really have given $40". Just appalled completely APPALLED at that response. This place is also dingy and does not look clean. It seems like they are constantly aggressively asking for more tip instead or being grateful for what was given. Poor customer service. read more

If I could give this place ZERO stars, I would. Came here for a couples massage and it was the worst "massage" (if you can even call it that) we've ever received. A total scam - DO NOT GO HERE if you actually have gotten a legitimate massage before cause you will know the difference. First, when we arrived, the entire place was dark and empty, not at all inviting. We were escorted to a room that smelled like someone had just done a #2. The women's massage table had facial padding, while the men's side didn't. There was a bathroom of some sort that was wide open with all their materials (not at all enticing to look at). As we were getting dressed the reception lady kept coming in and out, without even knocking! Like no client was in there changing. There wasn't even a blanket of any sort to cover you once you are undressed! There's NOTHING at all on the men's table, and a tiny thin covering on the women's table that barely covers your entire body. If you are tall, it'll probably be from your shoulder to just above your knee. THAT'S IT. Moving on to the actual massage. Two ladies came in with such loud force and about 5 minutes into the massage, their doorbell incessantly started ringing and the woman massaging my fiance disappeared for a good TEN MINUTES as what we assumed her dealing with some front desk situation - leaving my fiance just laying there, then after 10 minutes, a lady in a short red dress appeared instead. On my end, the woman massaging me just covered me up with the small thin blanket I mentioned, and SQUEEZED me for almost the entire 60 minute session. There was about 5 minutes when she actually massaged me properly on my back and also my calves - but other than that, she basically just squeezed me. There was one point where she piled a bunch of semi-warm wet towels on my back, and then when they were no longer warm, she just pulled all of them altogether off my back and left me with NO COVERING whatsoever. Leaving me there lying wet in the back and cold. There was also a part when I was turned over, and again because there was no actual blanket that covered your entire body, when she moved the thin covering down to my foot so she can squeeze my feet, my entire chest area got uncovered. She did not even care to realize this happened, or cared to look to see of course, considering she should know the length of the very short blanket she has been using for a good 30 minutes already. So I was there laying on the table face up with my chest area just exposed!!! As I lay there, I was thinking, IS THIS FOR REAL RIGHT NOW? I AM PAYING FOR THIS? But I had no other choice but to just cover myself up with my arms!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then shortly after, she decided to come back to the upper torso area, and as she was above me, since there was also no face covering or anything her chest and shirt was just pressing down on my face. No care whatsoever. So many times I had just wanted to stop the "massage" and run out, but considering when you are basically naked and are at their mercy, we were in no position to be forceful and complain at that moment. On top of it, for most of this horrendous "massage" they spoke loudly and banged around the entire time when moving to get lotion, or going in and out of the room. NO relaxing vibe whatsoever! There were no oils used, just some cheap lotion that left white marks all over our bodies, particularly mine that I had to run home and wash off all the white residue that was also all over the inside of my clothes by the time I was able to get home to shower. We went here because we thought it was a legitimate "spa" with a nice ambiance - which was a huge mistake especially since we paid full price for the "massage". To top it off, as we were leaving, one of the masseuse had the audacity to chase us for a tip!!! Like they deserved one considering everything, and on top of her being late. I also looked at the clock, and there was no way we even got the 60 minutes we paid for. Go here if you want to be bamboozled out of $200 and have the worst spa experience of your life. read more

This location is not commercialize like Spa castle &Sojo Spa. I like this spot because it's a private with less people and sometimes you can do walk-in. My favorite treatment was the body scrub, dry sauna, steam room, and body massage. Make sure you tip them $25 or more don't be cheap. Parking can be a challenge in fort Lee NJ. I ended up dropping in here when I was in the area, thankfully it was a slow day so I was able to get an appointment immediately. The facilities are pretty nice, I did the body scrub with the massage and the quality was pretty standard, $150 for the package. What stood out to be about the experience though was the service. I told the women there that it was my first time at a Korean Spa, and they put me in the steam sauna and went to their break room to watch TV. I waited there for around 15min before going to find them. I had a nice chat with the masseuse during the massage, but I went to leave and the her mood suddenly changed. She got angry and stopped me from leaving because she wanted tip. I told her I could go get cash from my car but she told me to pay tip in credit card. The service was ok so I gave her a generous tip, but her attitude really bothered me. If tip is required for the service they should just add it to the bill? read more

Treat yourself here! Left about an hour ago. Feeling sooo relaxed. Very friendly front desk and masseuse. Loved that they sauna is actually a sauna (dry heat) and not a steam room. That is actually much healthier and enjoyable. I got the bodyscrub/massage combo and it was worth the money. I tipped more than I had to because I felt so well taken care of. It was clean too! I used to go to Four seasons spa before. Last week I went there while i was visiting NJ. I was shocked to find out they moved to another location in Fort lee. The owner became very hungry for the money. My friend and I we paid for the package $180. we had to pay $192.60 We couldn't figure out what was $ 12.60. The owner was arguing with the workers. The energy was very negative. The owner is a dictator in that sauna because I requested more time scrub and less massage however she told the lady who works there to do scrub less than massage in Korean. The opposite of what I asked for. She didn't know that my friend understand the language. I don't recommend that place to anyone. It was real waste of money and energy. read more

Been coming for years. Body scrub is unlike any you will ever receive anywhere. First you shower. Then they make you sit in herbal steam room. This is to make your skin moist so it it easier to slough off. Then you get on a table. Btw, I need note, if you are shy, this place is not for you. You are naked in a totally communal women's spa. And during the body scrub, you feel like cattle being cared for next to other cattle. But it is worth it. And it isn't the most pristine, zen, pretty spa either. It is built clean and practically. Back to the experience. You are on a table, next to up to 4 others. You are inches apart. Your therapist is in a one piece swimsuit. It is a table shower. So it is all next to the showers. You lie face up. She covers your eyes with a towel which is slightly useless as you move around a lot. She also puts a tiny towel to cover you chest to hips. Also useless because it is removed during the scrub. It is a lame attempt at decorum. Lol. Then she takes a rough hand sock and special brown glycerin soap and scrubs every inch of you. Hard. Literally skin sheds off you. At least 2 layers. Imagine you are peeling from a tan. And skin keeps sloughing off. Now, imagine that happens to just about every inch of you intentionally. It is not soothing. It is simply effective and gets you to be as smooth as when you were a baby. After flipping to multiple sides and back. Therapist does it again but with a gentler soap scrubber. This is like the polishing part. And when I say every inch, I mean it. Underarms, entire chest, butt, inner thighs,side stomach, in between toes/fingers. It is thoroughly and efficiently done. You feel like a specimen worked on. And they do their jobs with gusto. Then they shampoo your hair and give a scalp massage. Then you hit the showers again. And then they send you to sauna before your massage. Massage is in different dry rooms. Now, i get a mixed shiatsu and deep tissue. They are big on acupressure too. But when i get a massage, she steps on my back, does a firm pressure massage with her hands, and i tend to ask for deep so she takes the knots and tension from my back. I get a mini facial of cleanser, cucumber mask, sesame oil and tissue mask, honey on the lips, and hot towel washes along the entire experience mixed in with massage during head and hands portion. Btw the facial does not clean pores. It is like a 5 step face wash. The entire experience is 2 hours. It cost $160. And you leave feeling skin so soft like a baby butt, and relaxed. Btw, even the massage is effective and efficient. Nothing sleepy and relaxing about it. It does the job. Knots will be removed. Someone posted about happy endings. For the record that is not in the women's spa. That was the men's in the basement. Women's is operated separately. And it is totally legit. read more

Yes, these ladies look like Korea's retired Olympic swim team but they are thorough and efficient . I've gone to better looking places for more money and still ended up coming back right here. So, don't expect watercress sandwiches and cucumber water but do expect to come out feeling brand spanking new. P.s. BEWARE!! LOST $120!! I made an appointment to visit this spa and prior I was given a $120 online gift to use. When I visited I gave the woman the receipt ID. She said they have no record of the purchase and we can pay for services and THEN they will check PayPal. That is not how business is done. I've been coming to this place for years and insisted I know this purchase was made. I called PayPal on speaker in front of her and they confirmed the transaction was made. She had someone else come in and they said they don't know because when they moved there were other bank accounts. This place is a scam - I lost my $120 purchase and on top of that PayPal said they can't issue a refund after 180 days. I was very excited because the website looked amazing and when I bought my package($250.00) and booked my appointment that day the staff was very friendly and made me feel all set for my New Years Couples Massage! Today, January 2, my appointment was at 1 pm. We arrived a few minutes before hand and checked into the spa. First off, they didn't save my name or my reservation so we had to pull up my order which was no big deal as I had nothing else planned for the day. The lady at the front then had us change into robes and start our spa day. It was lovely. Sauna rooms, body cleansing and 1 hour massage. I had one lady, my boyfriend had another. They didn't leave a knot in my back- which I loved! It was very relaxing and it was a great experience for the both of us! I am giving this a low rating not because of the experience as it was great. As we were preparing to get our things and leave, between the two of us we were so relaxed we didn't think about tipping the lovely ladies who helped us. The woman who initially greeted us at the door, showed us to our changing areas and gave my boyfriend his massage, awkwardly followed us to the elevator and stood around and asked for a tip for the girls. We of course said " how could we forget, of course". She assured us we could leave a tip on our credit card as we didn't have any cash, and when we told her to give each girl 10 dollars tip, she stopped to look at us a said, oh no that is not enough. $15-$20 at least. Honestly, I was shocked. One: because it was completely unprofessional and rude and two: because I have never been so embarrassed for only having a little to give. I was very upset leaving because it was completely uncalled for. I have never been shamed into giving a tip. I do not want to come off as ungrateful or bitchy at all, but it put a pause to our overall experience. I have been going to New Four Seasons Spa for many years! I am a Licensed Massage Therapist and Yoga teacher. The place is fabulous and always a very healing experience for me. The very first time, I was skeptical about the nudity, but I got over that very quickly. The body scrub and shampoo has been the most healing experience for me. They are very nurturing and the buckets of water feels fabulous. This is my happy place! Ive been through two rounds of breast cancer and these women helped me through. I can't say enough - give it another try there is a men's floor and a women's floor. So what you're naked; just go with the flow; they are the best. Try to be patient, exhale and let go of any judgements. What I find beautiful here is watching the older Asian women shower and scrub; taking all the time in the world. My mom and I came here for the first time today. The service was efficient and excellent, from the receptionist to the therapists. We both had the $160 Renewal Package/Package B which started with the "steam-y sauna" (for lack of a better description), body cleansing, dry sauna, facial, shampoo, massage, and salt room. It was 2 hours of heaven! Our therapists Ms Kim and Ms Soo are professional, pleasant, skilled, and tireless. They were our therapists from start to finish. The quality of work never faltered, despite the amount and intensity of work they do, starting with a refreshing body exfoliation that seemed endless, to the facials, and very through shiatsu massage. They offered us tea and water in the sauna. The products are subtly fragrant, the music soothing, and the place was clean with an abundance of towels. For shy people, I advise you to go there when the place is not busy, or go alone, or with someone you are comfortable being naked with, because you will be naked in the communal shower and body exfoliation room. Also, be sure to mention any contraindications to massage such as acute injury or recent infections. There is also a sign saying that people with hypertension shouldn't enter the sauna. This is one thing I noticed - the lack of an intake form. Just mention any medical problems because they did not ask. (I know this only because I am married to a massage therapist). We will definitely be returning here because we were treated so well and we felt so soft and pampered and GREAT afterwards! Thank you New Four Seasons Spa for the best spa experience ever! read more

Honestly everything went smoothly, the scrub was great the massage was good... The facial was terrible. I left with stuff still on my face. The reason for the one star was they took an extra $20 for my husbands service for no reason. It was the same exact work, the same exact effort. after I left a 20% tip for the different woman who worked on me, the woman at the front desk stopped me and asked for more money. After I told her that it was 20% each, she asked me if i could leave another $10. Terrible customer service for that reason. Even if I had left 10% its up to me ultimately to leave as much as I feel I need to. Poor poor service for that reason and I will never go there again. read more

I stumbled upon this location through friends. The owner has zero professional courtesy, no manners, and limited English language communication. Her staff also does not understand English very well as a result communication with this facility is a real challenge. Based on a recent experience with the owner who was overcharging me for a massage that never took place - a swedish massage was conducted but she was charging for another modality, I do not intend to visit this location again. Spas need to have decent people with proper communication skills otherwise it is an unpleasant experience.There is zero customer service and a lot of emphasis on getting tips. After going there for several years and trying to avoiding the owner and her nasty attitude problem yesterday was the last straw. I was placed on a dirty table in a freezing room and had a new person to work on me. I told her I was cold and the owner came in to scold me while I was still naked and mentioning she knows my mother. Beyond rude. Since when is it my problem that your facility is cold?
