They really did a great job for us all that time.... until we fostered and adopted an elderly (13yr old) dog from McKamey. We spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars on lab tests to confirm what McKamey already had diagnosed was in the records .... Dog had an ear infection. RedBank could not figure out how to treat it, so they recommended a specialist for treatment (shocker another VCA business). They wanted to remove the ear canal of a 13 year old dog for $5K! The known side effects are defenses or death!! It seemed like a lot to put an old dog through. For some reason RedBank wanted to cash in on this poor ole buddy instead of helping him. Red Bank has SOLD OUT!!!!!! Yepp VCA owns them now, that explains all the nickel and dime redundant tests and services they push and charge you for for without approval. The once caring owner cashed out (good for him). Only wish he would have made an announcement and told all his customers and patients that billable services now come first. I went for a second opinion at Lighthouse Veterinary Allergy & Dermatology. They prescribed and mixed an ear drop that fixed it without surgery!!!) They charged me ten dollars to throw the needle in the sharps container. The practice is Animal Clinic Downtown 2223 E 23rd St, Chattanooga. They have turned waste disposal into a profit center. Example: Ten (probably on the low side) disposed needles a day times a 5 day work week, times 4 weeks in a month comes to... 200 approx needles in a month @ $10 equals $2000 a month!!! Has anyone else ever been charged for this? Disposal companies such as Stericycle charge WAY under this amount.

So I left a review about how patient, kind, and understanding the staff here has been known to be. I claimed that this was a provider that you cannot go wrong with.. however, after our visit earlier today, my opinion has changed. About the provider herself these things remain true, as well as the younger receptionist. Unfortunately, the other older receptionist and every one of the techs I encountered today have dramatically changed my opinion and will keep me from returning to this place in the future. Snippy attitudes, literal eye rolls, dramatic sighs, and general lack of empathy and decency. One thing after another, tensions rising, and through it all not once did I have as much audacity as they to behave the way the situation most definitely warranted. Charged for services not rendered. Lack of attention to detail. Dismissive behavior. Inaccurate record keeping.. I could honestly go on. I deleted my previous review before I'd even finished checking out. I have referred friends and family to this center for years.. no more. My recommendation to the new owner? Consider the phrase.. out with the old and in with the new. 2 stars instead of 1 for the 2 devoted staff members mentioned previously..(names of which I intend to include later)
