I stumbled on B Blush because I was in the area and I think I found my new threading spot. The inside was clean, quiet and Anu immediately greeted me and was quick and precise with her threading. I really like that after your 5th or 6th threading your next is free; the threading place I usually go to you have to get 10 threadings before you get a free one and you also get a free threading your bday month. When I first heard about "threading" a couple months ago (yep, I'm so with it), I had the mental image of someone taking a needle and thread to my eyebrow hairs to weave them together into some sort of nice shape. This is how clueless I am when it comes to eyebrows. Sooo...after reading rave reviews of this place and finally getting the nerve to experience this "threading" stuff, I called Jamila, who was able to book me an appointment two days later. An hour after speaking with her, she called back and said she'd had a cancellation, would I like it? Would I ever! How nice of her to call back. I dashed out to Carrollton to find Radiant. TIP: It's located at the southeast corner of Josey and Jackson, facing Jackson. Hard to find unless you know that. Look for the Blockbuster on the corner. ANOTHER TIP: Her name is pronounced "Jah-mee-lah." Poor woman probably gets called something different every day, but she was very polite in correcting me. As soon as I was settled in the procedure room, the first thing Jamila said to me was, "Your eyebrows are too light." She then horrified me by penciling in what they should look like. Granted, this is what every woman WITH A CLUE's eyebrows look like, but it's a big change for me. I compromised with her on doing a slightly lighter shade for the tint (which I hadn't even been planning on until she made me realize how bare and ugly my eyebrows au natural looked). The tint turned out to match my hair PERFECTLY, and I'm very happy with it. I'm going to invest in an eyebrow pencil now. What is this world coming to?! Anyway, she then proceeded to do the threading, which was painful, yes, but not as painful as I'd heard. I do have high pain tolerance, so that probably helped. She listened carefully to my request not to make my eyebrows too thin (I like the distinctiveness of my slightly Brooke-Shields-esque brows). They're not shockingly different from what they looked like before, just slightly more polished and darker (thanks to the tint). Next time, I might be more brave and go for a bit thinner and a bit darker. But I need to work up my courage for that. Best part of the whole thing? The tint ($10) and shaping ($10) were ridiculously affordable compared to pretty much anywhere else I looked. And it was super quick and relatively painless (once I got over the initial heart attack from seeing my eyebrows so dark). I may have just started a new beauty regimen. Who am I?! Next stop: find a shrink to help me deal with the changes in my life. Aaahh!!

I do like that they have a reward card system, after 10 brows your 11th is free, and they are better priced($7.00) than most threading salons. The threaders are typically friendly though some are pushier than others when it comes to their other services. I do wish they had more threaders on staff, many times I come I have to wait because one lady is threading and the other doing facials. Other than that, I do recommend Glow for their threading services.

She was about to get the thread I politely asked to sanitize her hand since she was just waxing her own armpits. Now I am already irritated. Instead of putting powder she puts aloe Vera and starts to thread my eyebrows. It's hurting so bad that I can feel my skin tear. I asked her to wipe off the gel and put powder. She's not happy that I told her to do that. Comes back again and starts to man handle my eyebrows. In all these years I have never had such a painful threading. I have to wait for it grow back so I can get it properly in shape. After a few hours I call back and I ask to speak to a manager and she's the f***** manager. Poppy Paul wow. Good way to be a manager. Atleast wax your armpit in a private room and not in front of customers. Update: month later the manager calls back to clarify that her name is Happy and she's the one that answered the ph. I must have mistaken the name. So Poppy is an employee and Happy is the manager.

The check in process was easy but for your first time here you may not know! Just go to the ipad & follow the questions! The girl did exactly what I wanted - no judgement, no putting her own twist on it, i showed her how much i wanted off & she did just that! I had wanted to get rid of a good portion of my tail & make my brows straighter & she did them amazingly!! This was also my first time getting them threaded, a LOT less painful than wax. I hate when i'm getting waxed and the light is really bright that i want to really squeeze my eye & the hot wax under my brow - it's very over stimulating. with threading, you get to hold your eye a little & get that extra blocking of light & since you're kinda covering your eye, it isn't as scary!! They don't play music, so there isn't a lot going on to distract you, but it kinda makes it a little less overstimulating! This place is a 10/10 on everything. if you need music bring an earbud! I've told all my close family about this place. Love it here!!
