I was a walk-in for a full face and eyebrow thread ... but I walked out with skin lifting on my cheek from the WAX that was suggested by my stylist. This is not a normal "sensitive skin" reaction, as was suggested by employees, and it's a known result of an improper waxing technique. What concerned me most is that the service continued after the first area was affected, and it was not addressed until afterward. I was still charged for part of the service despite the visible skin damage. Although the employee was nice and apologetic, that does not make up for inadequate service and I hope for no permanent skin damage. I would not return based on this experience. read more

I really wanted to love this place but I have had my brows done twice now and was unimpressed both times. The first time the stylist I saw cut the brow hair uneven, and the second time the stylist (a different lady than the first) nicked my skin in multiple places during the threading process. I literally have scabs on my eyelids and was bleeding when I left as you can see in the photo. Save yourself the pain and frustration and go elsewhere for your brow needs! She applied Witch's Hazel gel, knowing full well I had open skin....and she asked..."Oh, did it burn? Seriously. I hate to give this place three stars because the salon is cute, their prices are reasonable, and the service is great, but they've messed my eyebrows more than once! The first time my eyebrows were too far apart. The second time, I made sure they did not over-thread my brows but that led to them under-threading my brows. When I got home, it looked like they barely did anything. They did a good job with the threading but they didn't go in depth with finishing touches like trimming the hair with scissors. As a result, my eyebrows were back to its original state in a short amount of time. I must say that the only reason I came back is because they always do a phenomenal job with my sister's brows. If I were you, I wouldn't write the place off because I may just be getting the wrong beautician everytime I go. You might have an experience that is more like my sister's. read more

You guys, I am 29 years old and have been getting my eyebrows waxed since 7th grade and NEVER IN MY LIFE have i EVER been burned ESPECIALLY to this extent are you kidding me??? I am pissed. I look so ridiculous. I think they primarily do threading, so i'm not sure if they just don't like to do waxing or what but I knew when she put it on the wax was too hot. Ive had excellent and also horrible experience with my eyebrows here and it really does depend on the person threading. Stick to the same person. Today, I learned this the hard way. One eyebrow is shorter than the other and one is thicker and Less curved at the middle than the other... The girl with the long braid (forgot her name) is my fav - be very clear on what you want and don't want. Also, find your fav threading and stick to the same girl. They also refused one of my services so I just went to the nail shop next door and got better service. I was greeted by a friendly receptionist who directed me to Rosie, the tech who did my eyebrows. Rosie was very warm and communicative; she handed me a mirror and outlined exactly where she was going to pluck. Rosie was good with the wax; sometimes techs will leave errant dabs or strands of wax on your face that you gotta cleanup later, but Rosie was very deft and used only the absolutely minimum amount of wax to get the job done. Afterwards, she handed me the mirror for inspection and offered to do light cleanup with threading on the fuzzy areas above my eyebrows, which I agreed to. She did a good job there as well. She also offered to trim some of the longer eyebrow hairs to keep them from getting out of place, which I'm glad she suggested and took her up on. I'm definitely going to return to EyeCandy; it's conveniently located with no fighting for parking, and the price is right ($8! Tip generously!) Plus they're open til 7 or 8 pm on most weeknights, which makes it convenient to drop in after work. read more

If you're getting a wax I suggest quality elsewhere. They use the cheap paper strips if you're ok with that. (Note: they're painful and don't pick up all the hair) I scheduled an appointment however when I came in my scheduled time and what my service was they had no clue/record of it and looked at me confused. I'm new to dallas so I thought I'd try this place. She was super quick, only took like 6 minutes. I feel like they're a little uneven though-- like one is arched way more. I told her before she threaded them that i think my eyebrows need to be evened out .... but she just made the other one arched as well. I don't hate them. But i'm very particular about my eyebrows and i'm not sure how I exactly feel about them. They look worse and even more uneven when the iphone flips the camera, to me they look better when i look at the front facing camera or in the mirror. But here you can see what it really looks like. First timer and I loved it. Made an apt online and only waited a few minutes. Durga threaded my eyebrows which were very uneven and crooked, she was quick and fixed my eyebrows!! Be sure to stick to your original lady to keep your eyebrow shape the same as everyone threads differently. I do not know the name of the lady who did my brows, she didn't greet me or introduce herself. Whoever she was, she did a HORRIBLE job. My brows were completely different from each other. I pointed that out before she began tinting and she said she would fill it in with the tint to make them look more even. Of course I looked in the mirror before I left but didn't notice the difference until I washed my face the following day. One brow was high and squared off at the corner. The other was low, round, and much much shorter than the other. I was going to go back the next day for correction but they were closed on Sunday and I was going out of town on Monday so I had to go on vacation looking like I'd had a stroke! Fortunately she did such a piss poor job that the tint was gone by Tuesday so I was able to trim up my brows and go back to looking normal. This review is for the carrollton location only.
