Never again. Lady who answered phone was very rude. Placed order at 8:15 on a Thursday night. Gave address, repeated spelling several times. Order was $74 for delivery. Called at 9:05 and she answered phone saying we are closed. I told her I was waiting on my delivery. She said it would be there any minute. It is now 9:41pm and I am still waiting, called and left a message on their machine, which I know will disappear, and have heard nothing. No call from driver either. Rude lady in the front... tired of her attitude now. You'd think that she's let up on her attitude after going to the restaurant for months but no, she doesn't... This place used to be good 3 months ago but has since changed hands, new owners and it's horrendous! Nothing tastes good, most of it was bland and had no taste at all. I don't know how they cooked the Roast Pork Lo Mein but it tasted like it was cooked in dish water, it was disgusting. read more

Loved the quick delivery. I always order extra for leftovers. The hot and sour soup (medium heat) was awesome. Clears your head! Just the way it should. I got the steamed vegetable dumplings and they are HUGE! Also ordered the boneless ribs combo platter. The fried rice was clearly freshly made. The ribs are not the best I've had but still very good. They didn't have the carmelized flavor I'm used to from other places. Honestly, these probably have less sugar and are therefore healthier! read more

Updated review! Last review was in 2018. Times have changed and so has the food. Still not a fan of the orange chicken lol. I love their other items though! The location is not too far for me and my boyfriend. We come here often. My favorite items are the sweet and sour chicken and the house lo mein. And my boyfriend always gets the general tso. We've tried other Chinese restaurants in the area and none came to the same quality and taste as this business. read more

Is anything more overrated by foodie snobs than "authenticity?" I don't care whether it's something they actually eat in China; it is far more important to me that it tastes great. Jade Garden delivers in the latter regard. We tried bone-in spare ribs, pan-fried dumplings, beef with broccoli, and pork fried rice. Everything was extremely rich in flavor and very affordable. I give it four stars rather than five because I've had better Chinese food in the general area, but it was an outstanding meal. I'd go out of my way to come back. read more

I used to love this place and would order every other week. I am not sure what happened to them. One day I ordered and they would no longer make a vegetable dish for me. I used to love their Gerneral Tso Bean Curd that is on their specials section. Last time I ordered it, I got a small container of small pieces with nothing else in it. there was no sauce or broccoli. I decided to give them one more chance last night. I ordered dumpling and they forgot the sauce. I called and I could wait an hour for them to bring the sauce or if I wanted them to remove the dumplings from my order they would come to pick them up. I just felt the service was very poor as well as the meal. I will not order from them again. :( Gave them 3 tries and no longer going to waste my money. read more

It was better than the last time I went several years ago, good value and decent food for the price, might stop in again when I don't feel like cooking! Today food was prepared to perfection. I know most "chinese" food comes from distributors and turn key operations, but I HAVE to write about this one. First off this place is IMPECCABLY clean! I cant remember how new or old it is (the subway next door is at least 40 years old). I dont get to this end of Meriden too often but still.... I am happy to have stopped here. They have an American doing orders and deliveries... nice to speak the language! I order the boneless spare ribs at an unknown place, cant go to too wrong right? Well... they were tender, melt in you mouth and actually sweet... my hat is off to their distributor. I have left overs in the fridge. Being from the south im used to well flavored/seasoned foods. the first time here I ordered something simple..... house lo mein, and order of shirmp toast and for the vegetarian in my life mixed veggies in a garlic sauce. Everything was really good. Veggies were still crisp not limp, even the noodles were fresh! Couple weeks later went back, ordered different dishes from the prior visit. Still a happy camper. yes, the other reviews are correct., they are very curt and to the point, theres not a lot of extra chatting with the staff. Their food is always fresh and consistent in taste. The food isn't greasy like most other Chinese food.

I've only had the shrimp fried rice, fried chicken, and bonless spare ribs, and I can tell you that the spareribs are the worse I've ever had, HANDS DOWN!!
