I am formally documenting a serious failure in this facility's medical records transfer process. For more than two weeks, I have attempted to have my imaging records sent to another provider without success. Calls routinely go unanswered, and when contact is made through a third-party call center, I am transferred back to a voicemail-only line where messages go unreturned. The lack of timely access to medical records is a direct threat to continuity of care and patient safety. Immediate corrective action is required. read more

Do not judge the book by its cover. As I drove in the parking lot. My first thought was. Why did I pick this location. But walking in, then I realized I was in the correct place. The welcome and sign in were easy for even me, even as it was my first time to this location. Very professional and a good team. And though my appointment was for Fri . I got a text on Wed alerting me of cancelations that I could call the office and get my services earlier than my scheduled day. This was big for me. Warm people and great service go a long way. DO NOT GO HERE FOR YOUR MAMMO! I loved everyone there, so friendly, great experience. But then I left and 4 business days and a weekend has passed and I get a call from them (not a doctor) saying a left breast ultrasound is needed. I said I had an ultrasound (bc I have dense breasts I get one every yr with my mammo). They responded "OH, let me look again" and then said that "I need more images and something came up and I need to talk to my doctor bc there is a diagnostic one needed". WELL, OMG, how unprofessional. Typically I go to St Barnabus ambulatory center and this yr I needed to pay out of pocket for my ultrasound so was being cheap and saved 200 dollars. Not worth it, bc every yr I am given my results immediately at my visit at St Barnabus and I have always done an ultrasound and a mammo. Now, I stay home trying to relieve my anxiety all night waiting to speak to my doctor in the morning bc this place called me with half results and told me I need a diagnostic ultrasound now. I pray everything is ok and I am healthy and they were simply just unprofessional bc if this is how I find out then wow, just WOW read more

OMG!!!!! Just don't go here! I had an appointment this morning at 9am for X-rays. As I walk in there are multiple signs on the doors stating "No X-Rays today, Sorry for the inconvenience." Since I am here for X-rays, I walked to the receptionist, told her my name and asked her about the signage. She looked blankly at me and told me to sit down. I explained that I did not want to waste my time here if they weren't doing X-rays today. Again she said, "just sit down." Before I sat down as commanded, I asked her if she wanted to take the prescription I had. Her response to me as she was waving her arms around was "miss, just sit down, I am overwhelmed with paperwork and I will call you when I am ready!" After 15 minutes she called me back up and said "we are doing X-rays today and this is for you, go sit back down." She handed me a paper and when I asked what it was she annoyingly responded that "it is for the portal." Ok great, thanks for telling me I responded and then asked if my results would be sent directly to my doctor as well. Obviously she was annoyed with me because at that point she was done talking and just nodded her head. I sat back down and was called in a few minutes later by the X-ray technician. The ONLY reason for giving 1 star is because the X-ray technician was very nice. She had a calm and pleasant demeanor. Was very careful and provided clear instructions for the positions she needed. To say customer service is lacking is an understatement! Training for the front desk staff should be a priority as this is the face of your organization!!!! read more

Came in for an MRI of my ankle on a Thursday afternoon. My appointment was for 4pm and I was told to arrive at 3:30pm.. I wasn't seen until closer to 5:15 so I'm not sure why I was asked to arrive so early. Makes no sense at all to have patients sit in your waiting room in pain for 2 hours. This is absolutely absurd to me. If I could give 0 stars, I would give this place 0 stars. What a terrible experience! read more

Recently I had an appointment for some X-rays at the New Jersey Imaging Network in West Orange. When I arrived I was greeted by one of your receptionists Ayeri. She was very pleasant and was smiling as she asked if she could help me. I mentioned to her that I had an appointment at 8:45 a.m. and she checked her computer and confirmed my name and time and told me that everything she needed was completed and in order and to have a seat. I waited approximately ten minutes before Towana, the radiologist, came to get me. Towana led me to the changing room area and politely asked me to change into one of the gowns that was there and then left. Once changed, Towana brought me into the X-ray room and explained to me that I would be having several X-rays taken. Towana's demeanor was very pleasant and she was highly professional as she directed me into the different positions she needed for the X-rays. After everything was done Towana led me back to the dressing room area. She told me that the report would be ready in 24 to 48 hours as she escorted me back to the waiting room. Once there I approached Ayeri at the front desk and asked if I can leave. She again smiled at me and checked and confirmed that everything was completed and in order and that I can receive the report within 24 to 48 hours. I truly appreciate the highly professional atmosphere, respectful nature, and quick response that I received from your two staff members and want to publicly thank them for their time, efforts and concerns during my visit to your facility. You are very fortunate to have such wonderful and competent employees representing your company!!! I was told I would have results in two days, it is now THREE weeks and I am still waiting for the report. Staff was friendly enough but there was some miscommunication. I called prior to my appointment to find out how much I'd have to pay. They already had my insurance and told me that because I'd met my deductible already, I'd only have to pay my copay. Well turns out I had to pay my copay and a co insurance as well. Annoyed but no biggie. I get back to the exam room and this was the most... I don't even know how to put it in words, exam I've ever had. I'm carrying my 4th child. In all of the other sonograms I've ever had related to pregnancy, the tech or doctor leaves the room in order for you to change. She stayed right there. I was told that I'd be having a transvaginal exam. Wasn't expecting that but ok. After changing in front of her and lying on the table, I was then penetrated and spent the next 10-15 minutes being probed without a single word uttered. Not a word. I wasn't shown an image on the screen, I was not allowed to listed to the heartbeat. When she was finished I had to ask "is it alive" because I've never been treated so coldly during an exam. She did wind up showing me an image for all of 2 seconds before she proceeded to tell me to get dressed and that my results would be available in a few days. We stood there awkwardly staring at each other before I asked her to leave. I'm not about to wipe the gel off my cooter with you looking ma'am. There were hardly any words exchanged and I didn't feel like a patient, much less like a person throughout the entire ordeal. Worse place to go to, very unprofessional and the people who work there are constantly talking about each other complaining and back stabbing, I came in for 2 tests at 2pm my appointment wasn't until 3:30pm so I checked in and they took my papers and my I.D., sat down and patiently waited, they called me in and than told me they cancelled one of my tests, first of all I was sitting right in the waiting room, not one person told me and I didn't get any text like they said and why would they text me when I'm sitting right there, I waited for an hour and a half, they had all that time to tell me, this was not the first time they did that to me. One of the workers just left and didn't care that people were waiting and were scheduled and left early. This is the only NJIN that is so unprofessional and rude, for the people that work there your co-workers are talking about you the minute you turn your back and yes I sat there and was listening!!! Management never even called to discuss this like they said they would, the whole crew needs to be replaced. read more

The only reason they get even ONE star is because of the nurse. I wish I could remember her name but she was fantastic! Now, on to the full story. Maybe TMI, but I don't care. I went for a procedure related to multiple miscarriages. When I got there and turned in my paperwork, the receptionist made a joke about also having to offer up my firstborn because the information needed was so vast. So, already at this point, I'm PISSED. How inconsiderate. I don't HAVE a firstborn. You have my prescription. You know this. Once I got called back for the procedure, I end up sitting and waiting while the nurse and the doctor discuss whether I should have the procedure that MY DOCTOR wants me to get. In the end, he would not do the procedure on me until he spoke with my doctor because he felt the procedure was the incorrect road to go down. This is a procedure that can only be done in a 3-day span within your menstrual cycle. So I had to wait another month to come back and get it done, because YEAH, my doctor wanted me to have this. But what really rubbed salt in the wound was when he referred to my miscarriages as abortions. I understand the medical terminology is "spontaneous abortion" but have some sense! The last thing a woman who has been through what I have and what so many have is THAT. Come on, dude. I left the office in tears and vowed to go to a different location the next month. So I go back, again, to the SAME location because it was the only one I could get into for those 3 days, and have the procedure done. Aside from waiting too long, I had a much better experience, particularly with the nurse and reception staff. The doctor, the SAME doctor as the previous month, who didn't remember me at all, the woman who he'd brought to tears, was fairly considerate. Except for the fact that he was a man who could never begin to understand that what he was asking me to do was incredibly physically uncomfortable and difficult. I'm not the type to need someone patting me on the back the whole time. I'm tough and resilient. But this place...particularly the first time around...was the WORST medical experience I have EVER had in my life. Go somewhere else if you can. read more

I went in today for a mammogram. Very proficient office staff. The exam was timely and the technician was gentle and caring. Even Ena, who confirmed the appointment the day before was very accommodating when I needed to have my prescription faxed over. read more
