So a few weeks ago I was driving in Buena Park on La Palma Ave. I'm heading home and there is construction going on. The light turns green and I proceed, on the other side of the road a guy makes a left hand turn right where it says NO LEFT TURN! Of course he hits me. Fast forward to me getting home and calling my guy Dan Stentz. I tell him what just happened and he says bring it by , I got you! I bring it in and he introduces me to his right hand man Alex. They tell me what they think is wrong, get all the insurance information and tell me it's going to take a while, but we're going to fix it! So I went about my regular routine ( pre virus ). The insurance company calls me and says it looks like we're going to have to total your car ! I said I don't think so! I'm not going to get a new car payment and you're not going to tell me what the value of my car is! It's my car and I've put a lot of work into it! My first experience with New Life automotive was a complete detail that included some paint work for my 2004 RAM. Honestly the finished product was better than when I took delivery from the dealer 4 years ago. I even scored points with my boss who kept asking me "how they got those rims looking like mirrors". My wife was so jealous I had to take her old Subaru for a detail and bodywork with the same result. These guys deliver a very high quality product for a reasonable fee. You deal with the owner directly and when he's not around he has people working for him that know what they are doing. I can't recommend these guys highly enough. These guys are basically fantastic. I originally had my car towed to a different body shop nearby after an accident. The guy at that shop didn't give me a firm quote at first, so I waited. I called him back the next day, and he had a rough estimate, but he still hasn't removed the damaged number to see the full extent of the repairs needed. Two days more, I called him. His estimate had gone up, and I told him I couldn't pay that. He said he'd remove the bumper (apparently he had never done that, so don't know where his quote came from) and give me a final quote. It went up each time, and it took almost a week just to get there. I had to call him each time, because he would never call me when he promised he would. So I asked my sister-in-law's dad for a recommendation, as he was a mechanic in the La Mirada area for a while. He and another guy he worked with both pointed me to New Life. I called up New Life, and Alex was very patient with me as I complained about the shop that had my car. Long story short, while I was stuck at work late, New Life got my car from the first shop (which I had called, obviously) and took it to their place. Never charged me for it, even though I offered. The next day, my insurance company said they needed pictures of the damage for the overall claim. I hadn't been able to take any at the accident scene, but after I asked, Alex emailed me high quality pictures of my car from every angle I could have wanted that same day. Did I mention he had been texting me as well, staying in touch ever since they had gotten my car? Well, we finally talked and nailed down a deal for the repair work, and without my asking, they sent me status updates on my car with pictures. It was like getting letters from my kid at summer camp or something. Amazing. They made sure I was happy with the work, and I've had my car for over a week now. They've followed up on a turn indicator that was acting weird, and they fixed it while I waited at no charge. Maybe they were just being super nice to me after my bad experience at the first place, but I'll take it. New Life was professional, up-front about costs, communicative, and dedicated to making sure I was happy when I drove my Mazda off for good. I was introduced to newlife auto body by a friend from the Mercedes dealer. I dropped off my car on a monday and left it with them for as long as they needed. It took about 2 weeks. This is my weekend car. So, I didn't care how long it took. I just want things to come out right the first time. I had them black out the grill on my E63 front end as well as color match and install the rest of the updated conversion. When I picked up the car, I instantly noticed how much more aggressive it looked but still maintains the classy Mercedes appearance. I like to call it aggressively conservative.
