So on March 24th 2026 we arrived in Miami for my wife's pre-op check in , we were made to wait 3…read morehours before we were asked to come to a back room where we were told that Dr Loessin had just resigned that morning and that he would not be performing my wife's surgery. We were then told we had 45 minutes to choose from 2 other doctors that we never heard of before or cancel the surgery and get a refund. After talking to my wife for a few minutes we decided to cancel the surgery and asked for a refund . We were then escorted back up front and were simply handed a piece of paper ( sticky note ) that only had an email address and we were told we would have to email them for a refund, when I began to ask questions and complain about this they acted like they didn't speak English anymore . My wife then began to search for Dr Loessin on google and found him in Miami Lakes at another company called Harmony Cosmetics, my wife then called there office and made a same day appointment with Dr Loessin. When we arrived and explained our situation to Dr Loessin in person he agreed to perform my wife's surgery the next day . Dr Loessin also explained that he had left CG COSMETICS 3 weeks prior due to reasons that he could not disclose. We then went back to our hotel and emailed CG for a refund since they had lied to us about the doctor resigning that morning and tried to pressure us into having another Dr who we didn't know , perform the surgery, be advised at this time they were in breach of contract as the agreed upon Doctor had left 3 weeks prior and could have told us about it , giving us plenty of time to research another doctor . We also explained that they were going to file complaints with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services and the Florida Board of Medicine as well as file fraud charges with our credit card company . Now CG did respond saying sorry and that they would look into our refund within 30 business days , it has been almost 2 months now and haven't heard anything from them despite several emails demanding our money back due to a breach of contract. These people in my opinion have committed fraud and need to be held accountable! If anyone reads this please reconsider using CG Cosmetics, this has been the worst experience we have ever been through. They are unprofessional and have no morals or integrity. We are still out of pocket thousands of dollars on hotel and airfare that could not be refunded because of CG's deceptive practices. If CG Cosmetics does not issue a full refund due to breach of contract the credit card company assures us that they will take legal action .

For example, my surgery was scheduled for 1:15 PM, but I didn't go back until 8:35 PM, which felt extremely unorganized and unprofessional. Post-op care was another area that could be improved. I didn't see my surgeon again after the procedure, and the follow-up felt minimal. Since this wasn't my first surgery, I was comfortable navigating recovery on my own--but if this were my first experience, I could see how the lack of guidance would feel overwhelming and even a bit scary. I also wasn't impressed with the post-op massages. They are listed as 30-minute sessions but felt much shorter and rushed. He talks a lot, he listens what are your goals or priorities…read more He has a good reputation and everyday the waiting room is packed that made me wonder how he managed to see all those patients and do surgeries at the same time. The clinic staffs are very busy. Long waiting time in the waiting room even if you have a 9am appointment, you will be seen past 12noon based on experience. Post op nurses here are always on a rush, they also have earbuds on their ears talking spanish non stop and I cannot understand anything. Even if you're in excruciating pain they don't care, as soon as you wake up they want you in a wheelchair and get out even if you ate groggy. Its affordable here compared to different states that's why most people travel here because the amount you spend will be a quarter of what's for example in the Bay area. But expect you are just a number here. People go in and out and that's it. If you have a problem or complication, you are on your own. Its hard to communicate to the staff even if you are dying or what. Emergency room or PCP will not help you if you have a complication as well. Dr Kaufman is 5/5 but the clinic staffs is 1/5. They recently increased their prices and it takes couple of months to get a schedule.

I had a tummy tuck on…read more03/19/26 with supposedly "Dr. Amin Atul" during the consult when the surgeon is supposed to come in and mark you instead of the surgeon I was greeted by his nurse practitioner after he left the room I stated to the anesthesiologist "hey that's not my surgeon" his response in Spanish was "don't worry that his nurse practitioner he was a surgeon in Cuba" (I wish I was lying.) which leads me to believe they are using Dr. Amin face but in reality it's the nurse practitioner performing these procedures. 24 hours post op I went to my first massage done by Ana I had what looked like a purple bruise below my belly button and I was told by Ana in Spanish "that is a complication from surgery and it happens often" I trusted her. 1 week passes by I had the appointment with the surgeon, I already had what was an open wound with draining as you can see in the photos attached. I was told it was normal and Ana continued to wrap me in the abdominal binder everyday tighter and tighter which wasn't the correct thing to do with an open wound. One point the nurse practitioner sees me and prescribed me a cream, the next day I told Ana and the medical assistant Niubi that the cream he prescribed cost to much and I didn't have the money at the time if they can call him and ask if there is anything else I can use. Niubi came back and said you need to use what he sent you. A week passes by I tell the nurse practitioner I couldn't afford the cream he looks at me and says "why didn't you tell them?" I said "but I did" he looks at Niubi and says "when that happens you need to call me and tell me because I would have given her the cream" THEY DIDNT EVEN CALL HIM AND TELL HIM I COULDN'T AFFORD IT. This continued on for about 1 month they finally decided to do a culture and send to the lab because now I was draining green pus with a horrible smell they started me on a antibiotic. I got a call 4 days after the culture that I had staphylococcus growing, I asked the medical assistant so what's the game plan with this draining and this smell and she said yeah we have to wait for another culture but the drainage and smell is normal. I went to the hospital that same night because I knew something was off. Everyone at the hospital was shocked; shocked to hear I never met the surgeon, shocked to hear they never did an ultrasound, shocked to hear how clinics like this are still able to be open. It's disgusting, they don't care about anyone. This is a literal chop shop. Once they get your money they are done with you. I also want to mention that the medical assistant Niubi went to a cheap nursing school and the board ended up taking her license from her bc the school wasn't accredited by the state of Florida, I know this because in conversation she told me yet she's the medical assistant at this wonderful clinic. She and everyone else there including Ana that after me defending myself and saying it ended up getting that bad because of her my last massage that I paid $400 for 5 massages was about 10 mins all because I had defending myself the day prior. All of them including who they call the nurse, a shorter man who also stated he is part manager are all so rude and unprofessional once you start defending yourself and realizing all the thing going on at this clinic. Point of the matter is, I never met this mystery surgeon, I've never seen him walk in that clinic. They didn't do an ultrasound to see where the drainage was coming from. I ended up with a $67,000 bill from the hospital because the hospital needed to fix a mistake they did not make. At the end of the day they got their money and I'm going to be left with a hideous scar because of them. I want to say the nurse practitioner of Dr. Amin was very nice and seemed genuine, I just don't think it's right to be using your nurse practitioner as the face of a surgeon. Well, I thought about canceling but they said to get a refund it would take months to cut a check and be mailed to me. So they finally fixed the charges issues. I Met Dr. Rondon the day of the surgery and he was rushing and was very rude to me :( I felt so disrespected, I said I wanted to look natural and I wanted for it to be as less invasive as possible, he said he didn't appreciate me telling him what to do and we had already started bad, I was terrified to go into that surgery room with him to be honest. And he got my stomach flat and my back rolls down from 2 to 1. lol. So that definitely boosted my confidence and I'm forever grateful. I then came back mid January for bbl and lipo 360 and so far I am loving my results. He is so kind. But also know that in order to get answers from him you have to have your questions ready. He soft spoken and is a man of few words. The nurses in the waiting after surgery are a little bitchy but that doesn't bother me because I can be very bitchy as well. That is something that they can work on, is how they treat patients after having surgery. But I also hear this about other clinics not just Smart Plastics. However I will be returning to Dr. Shanklin to finish the next phase of my weight-loss and plastic surgery journey.

But on surgery day, while he was marking me, he changed his story and told me I actually needed a tummy tuck and that he could only take a very limited amount of fat out, saying I needed to diet and exercise. If I'm supposed to diet and exercise, then why on earth am I coming to you? What am I paying you for if that's the solution? It felt like he just didn't want to take out much because he was trying to rush me. He had 10 or 15 more people to do that same day. After surgery, I was in a lot of pain. Be aware that they don't give you any pain medication through your IV in recovery -- the anesthesia only puts you to sleep. You come out of anesthesia with nothing for pain and have to wait for the person picking you up before they'll discharge you. They don't give you any paperwork or paper trail. They make you sign so many papers and don't give you anything, not even your receipt. I asked over and over for my receipt and they wouldn't give it to me. I was in Miami for five days before going back to Los Angeles. On my second day of massages, I kept asking for my paperwork and receipt because I had to pay for my massage package. When they finally gave it to me, I noticed they overcharged me for everything. When I tried to speak to someone about it, no one was there or the office was closed. It's been two weeks since surgery and I have not been checked on. No one has called to see how I'm doing or to express any concern. They shut you down, they overcharge you, and they don't do good work. I noticed he took out very little fat and what he did take out is uneven. I think he did one swipe on each area. It was a waste for me to pay all that money and go through so much pain for a botch job. I'm still in a lot of pain. This is a horrible doctor. Do not go to Smart Plastic Surgery at all. This is my experience only! I can not even believe most reviews on here as for my experience this place should AT LEAST have 4.5 stars. But I am not invalidating those really bad reviews, I just couldn't, nor can't relate my experience was soo good I'm writing this 5 hours after I came back home. (Also this is my first surgery so I am ignorant to better experiences... This is the only one known to me thus far, and it was very very good.) STEP 1 - BOOKING: Was very easy, my procedure was $2,500 + the surgical bra which was $55. In total: $2,555.00 . To secure my booking I had to pay $255.50 and as of for me since the day I payed the booking fee -- Mia Aesthetics staff would call me every Monday to check up on my LAB work and clearance... There was definitely pressure but like when people are strict and are serious about their job it shows and I like it!!. STEP 2 - LAB WORK/Clearance: Mia Aesthetics staff were very patient with me and continuously gave me more time to submit LAB WORK/clearance. I am a very busy girl and could barely make it to most appointments but everything worked out perfectly and smooth. 10/10 LAB WORK/Clearance experience (Note: if you have insurance you'll pay $4.99 for all this paper work to be done, which is amazing!) +Bonus - DRUG USE/NICOTINE: Marijuana doesn't matter, at least not that much as it is the only drug not subject for cancellation. I still did quit: Alcohol, marijuana and nicotine use 2 months before my surgery... However if your job demands you to go outside to get water for yourself, food supplies etc... Then you know how hard it is to (not) find someone sparking up a cigarette or vaping everywhere you go. I would wear masks, take long paths JUST to not get second hand smoke, and required my husband, my sister and anyone around me to smoke outside of my house (not just outside my room) and wash their hands afterwards. STEP 3 - PREOP: Amazing pre-op experience! Took less then 30 minutes and I went by myself, all good They'll ask you to sign papers of approval, then direct you to a room where they'll: check you BMI, check your weight/height, ask you how long ago you quit any substances and will be taking your before pictures! STEP 4 - SURGERY DAY: (Note: I coudn't eat or drink anything for 8 hours before the surgery which was the hardest part as I am addicted to drinking water every second... They did provide Gatorade after waking up.) I came in and they asked me to sign some more papers, my surgery was scheduled for 6AM but I was asked to come in at 5AM. I live here in Miami so the commute was splendid. So yeah they asked me to sign some papers, in less than 10 minutes things got REAL... they directed me to a room where they tested me for nicotine, drugs and other things... (Which by the way they'll only test you for nicotine if you have complications if not they won't... If I knew that I would've saved myself the dirty looks of people when I held my breath around them just because they were smoking and I was scared my test was gonna come up positive because of second hand smoke)... Anyways the medical assistant was nice she was very helpful and accommodating, gave me the princess treatment and then the doctor came we discussed sizes and medications... Then the anesthesiologist came by and we talked about if I had any allergies, etc. I wanted to hug her afterwards 'cause she is truly amazing (I can't really remember names, I can barely remember my family bdays) but she was brunette AND also I was so so cold due to the anesthesia so I wasn't gonna do all of that just to hug her, but she was that great and motherly that I was hurting from my breasts and I was still thinking "omg give me a hug you're so nice" SHE WILL HAVE YOU CLOSE YOUR EYES AND OPEN THEN BOOM... Big boobs! ... They then carried me through the back and my sister was ready to pick me up (I came out at 8AM... They whole process probably took 2 hours. To come: STEP 5 - POSTOP: I am having my pre-op tomorrow at 9AM then on Monday at the same time so this review isn't done yet! The deposit was non refundable which isn't fair due to it being their cancellation of the procedure. I disclosed my medical history to them, they let me waste money and pay for labs and other test along with my doctors clearance only not to honor the clearance. They sent me an email saying I was cleared then basically took the clearance back. I'm filing a law suit because the policy says nothing about non-refundable if they cancel on me. Why pay for their negligence in reviewing my file previously. They said administrative fees. However, I submitted documents on Sunday when they sent them to me and by Tuesday I was approved then denied. So 2 days of sending me an email means no refund is a joke.

Enero 8: me pidieron que llegara a las 9 am, estuve allí todo el día, salí a las 4 pm . Seré honesta, fue cansado pero no me arrepiento. Ese día llené y firmé muchos documentos (completamente comprensible) creo que estuve más de 1 hora llenando documentos (cada cirugía implica más papeles por firmar). También conocí a mi doctor, respondió absolutamente todas mis preguntas, fue muy detallado en conocer exactamente los resultados que yo quería tener. Ví a mi doctor al rededor de 5 veces más cuando estaba en mis masajes post-op. Enero 9: me pidieron llegar a las 10 am, me pidieron guardar mi celular a la 1:30 pm, creo que la cirugía fue a las 3 pm (no puedo estar segura porque no tenía forma de saberlo), no sé a qué hora salí de cirugía pero desperté a las 6 pm aprox y me entregaron con mi acompañante a las 6:30 pm. Dr. Valladares decided not to operate because of my kidney levels I suppose were below comfort of recovery -- yes I was disappointed since all my labs were complete a month prior and a week prior before arriving and taking time off. But that's not the worst part. They took $200 cash for "prescriptions" in the office without a form of receipt and I asked about it and they said I'd receive the prescriptions day of surgery but I never received the procedure. Originally they said 3,700 but since I needed to use Care Credit they changed the price to 4,800 and charged Care Credit and my credit card the day before surgery even though the surgery never happened. I called about the refund and I was told to call Care credit and dispute the transaction. Really? That's how they handle refunds. I was supposed to call the finance company and claim I never had the procedure and they were supposed to believe me. Well I did that and filed a dispute. I called Vixen for refund on my credit card and the cash I paid for prescriptions and I have not been able to reach them since. I researched to see if this is normal practice and no! This is highly suspicious, and I should have not been charged till after the procedure. This has been so stressful, so hard on me financially and emotionally. I will continue to reach out, so whatever it takes to get my money back and let others know of how this was handled. Another lady had used Vixen as well with a different surgeon. She is convinced she is "botched" and they have "ghost surgeons" practicing along with the expected surgeon. The girls in my recovery home have been unwell, multiple ambulance services and blood transfusions. They regret the whole procedure.
