I've spent years trying to find that one salon you know you'll always walk out happy. I can confidently say that I have found that with this salon. The ladies here know what they're doing and if you ask them for tips they'll more than happily give you great advise. I've noticed that a lot of their clients wait for Isabel specifically but honestly anyone in there will do a great job. Isabel is great at spotting talented women and giving them a chair to represent her salon. Oh and $25 for a cut and blow dry is not bad if you ask me. read more

I discovered this salon a year ago. I used to pay triple the price for the same services that I receive her. Their hair color, that they use are bold and rich and last for a long time. The owner Isabel, is a very nice lady, and is fun and easy to talk to. The 3 ladies that work there do an excellent job. They are super attentive, they provide personal attention, and alway remember your name when you walk through the door. You don't need an appointment,but one is always reccomended if you have a preferred stylist. They speak both English and Spanish. If you are looking for an affordable salon look no more. I called in for an appointment with Isabel and honestly she was amazing. She didn't shortened the length of my hair, instead she added layers in order to keep the same length, brilliant! I'm a wuss when it comes to getting my hair cut. No, really, I always go for straight across the bottom and as little taken off as possible because I have hair stylist trust issues. That, and I am horrible at doing my own hair, so low maintenance is always a top priority. But hey, I still want to look nice! Can't a girl have easy-care hair and not look like Medusa? After moving out west and leaving my trusty stylist behind, I had tried a few salons and not found a good fit. I kept flying 1800 miles back home to get a haircut, and it was simply getting a bit ridiculous. So, to reduce the negative environmental impact that my hair care regimen was causing, I started going over every Yelp review for a salon near my house. One had over 200 reviews, but after reading about 40, I saw that they actually give you a discount for leaving a good review...and that salon's owner left snarky feedback to negative reviews. Nope! Another salon had good reviews, but the pictures of the styles were all too fussy for me. I put them in the "reserve" pile. On and on it went. And then I found the posting for New Looks. Not a ton of reviews, but they were all good, and had so many nice things to say about the friendly atmosphere, and how they really pay attention to what you'd like to have done to your hair.I gathered my courage, drove by twice, and then parked and walked in. This is where the story really begins! I only intended to make an appointment to come back for a cut, but the lovely Miss S. fit me in right then! She noticed that I had damaged ends, and that my style was, well, less than stylish, and she walked me through a few looks. She understood my need to keep it simple and dealt with my fears very well. I'm ashamed to admit that I do get sweaty palms and a queasy stomach when trying a new stylist, but I hunkered down and let her get to business. MY HAIR LOOKS WONDERFUL! Just the right amount was cut off--I asked for 3 inches off, 3 inches were taken off, not 2, 5 or 8! A subtle layer was put in and my bangs sweep over exactly the way I like them to. I have pretty hair! ME! Pretty hair! Who knew! And after all this, it was half the price I was paying at my Aveda salon back home (if you leave out round-trip airfare). I went for second time to get a haircut and I don't understand why Isabel made the two times horrible job,sorry but is true,the last time i asked for hair with layers and went she finish i had curly hair jajajaja and really i have to go to somewhere else to fix it and they thought i went to get a haircut to beauty school :( I was very embarrassed but never mind. I think she is very good for hair color and curly hair,if you see all her pictures are hair color and she made curly hair,so dont take this as complain even i have to wait for my hair to grow back,just take my experience for your good. by the way I went to her because is very close to my work and i went back to see if she can do something but she was busy. They fucked up my hair. I asked for shoulder length and a few layers. It looked nice when she did a blowout but once i got home and washed it i realised how jacked up it looked. My hair looks like it was chopped up! Im now looking for a place to get hair extension put in. But everyone is different go ahead and try it out yourself but i sure will never go again... read more

This place is great, the owner, Isabel, did some salvage work on my hair that had been cut by a friend a year ago. Now don't get me wrong, my friend had done a great job on my hair, but the cut she gave me was extremely short in the back and long in the front. After growing my hair out for a year, in came in pretty unevenly, particularly around my ears where it was much shorter than the rest of my hair. I wanted to keep the length, because it had taken me so long to grow it out. Isabel gave me a very long a-line cut, and only took off a couple of inches to blend in the shorter hair. It looks great, and I really love it. The atmosphere is very relaxed and familial, the price was very affordable. 5 out of 5 would go there again. read more
