    Tempura Udon Soup
    Lesley O.

I have ordered a few various rolls and they have been good. However, my go-to at New Metro is the Tempura Udon Noodle Soup. It's the perfect savory, delicious, warm you up inside on a cool day type of soup. I add a few veggies to the soup and eat the rest separately in between slurps of the udon noodles and soup. If you are looking for the perfect soup and on a cool fall or cold winter night, this is definitely something you MUST try!!

    Nasty!

I've been ordering from them for years. Never had a problem until today. I ordered a salmon combo with brown rice - $12.95. The meal did not taste right. The salmon was becoming shredded as I was trying to pick it up. I couldn't continue eating it. I called them to get a refund of just that meal (I had ordered with a coworker and his food was fine). They told me because I ordered it with brown rice and the brown rice was hot, that is why that happened. They couldn't issue a refund because the fish was fine. If I go to a restaurant and tell them I don't like the meal because it doesn't taste right, they would take it away and either replace it or ask me if I want something else. Instead, Metro Sushi basically blamed me for ordering it with brown rice. I've ordered this in the past and this was never an issue before because they never put hot brown rice on it before. They also delivered it late - over the time it was supposed to come - and the soup that came with it was cold. They just lost a customer who has both ordered take-out, and eaten at their restaurant, for years.

    B03. Seafood Soup

Small restaurant that can seat about 20 people. I was the only one dining in around 2pm on a Tuesday. The service was quick, greeted as soon as I entered. I started with a hot tea(to warm up from my 10 min walk) and seafood soup. Both were tasty and the seafood soup was huge. Next, I had the Soft Shell Crab(comes with two) and two rolls. All of the food was good...not the best sushi ever, but it was fresh. I wouldn't get the Soft Shell grab again...a TON of breading.

This isn't tuna tataki - wasn't happy at all

Got tuna and didn't like the way the color looked and the taste wasn't good at all. Also the place has a whole didnt look to welcoming, if you can go down the street to a different Japanese restaurant.

    Metro Sushi platter.

Ordered a sushi roll platter. It was affordable and tasted very good. Everything was fresh except for a few avocado slices but as avocados go, this can sometimes happen. It was a great "soak up the (too many) drinks I had before" meal for me. Goodbye hangover. The staff was friendly. Take out and delivery available. If I'm in the area I see no reason why I won't be back. The End.

This place is pretty good. It is not the best sushi you will find in Queens but it certainly is good enough. They are quicker than most too!

An Unforgettable Omakase Experience!…read more We celebrated the 4th of July with an incredible omakase dinner at Masaki, and it exceeded every expectation. Every course was beautifully presented, impeccably fresh, and perfectly balanced. From the delicate Red Sea Bream and buttery Scallop to the luxurious Toro with Caviar, Sweet Shrimp with Uni, and the unforgettable Eel with Foie Gras, each bite was a masterpiece. What truly elevated the evening was Michael, our sushi chef. He was warm, engaging, and exceptionally knowledgeable. He took the time to explain every course, the origin of the fish, the flavors, and the best way to enjoy each piece. His passion for his craft was evident, and his attention to detail made the entire experience feel personal and memorable. Dining at the sushi bar gave us a front-row seat to watch the artistry behind every piece. The quality of the ingredients, the precision of the preparation, and the genuine hospitality made this one of the finest omakase experiences we've ever had. Thank you, Michael, and the entire Masaki team, for making our holiday celebration so special. We can't wait to return for another unforgettable evening!

There are lots of servers so you never feel like you're waiting. The food is delicious and there's a mix of platters and smaller plates so you can try a bit of everything. The fish is so fresh. The tempura got mixed reviews from our party. Some of us loved the thick breading and others weren't a fan. The tempura sauce is amazing. There is an omakase option, which we haven't tried but would like to one day.
