Great place for sushi. They have never disappointed me and everyone that works there has been super friendly. The restaurant itself is small, not too much seating. I mostly order takeout anyways. Sushi has always been fresh and fast service. Love the lunch combo, and special rolls. Dinner Bentonville boxes are massive. I usually order any rolls with tuna, Salmon, eel, or shrimp tempura. Was in the area for a vet appointment and have walked by this sushi a few times. It is super unassuming and was the same walking in. The menu is extensive. Went with a tofu bento box which was fine. Came with a standard California roll and white rice. The tofu was okay, the texture of the teriyaki sauce not my favorite but what I expected. For the price, you will likely get exactly what you think you will. I have ordered a few various rolls and they have been good. However, my go-to at New Metro is the Tempura Udon Noodle Soup. It's the perfect savory, delicious, warm you up inside on a cool day type of soup. I add a few veggies to the soup and eat the rest separately in between slurps of the udon noodles and soup. I've been ordering from them for years. Never had a problem until today. I ordered a salmon combo with brown rice - $12.95. The meal did not taste right. The salmon was becoming shredded as I was trying to pick it up. I couldn't continue eating it. I called them to get a refund of just that meal (I had ordered with a coworker and his food was fine). They told me because I ordered it with brown rice and the brown rice was hot, that is why that happened. They couldn't issue a refund because the fish was fine. If I go to a restaurant and tell them I don't like the meal because it doesn't taste right, they would take it away and either replace it or ask me if I want something else. Instead, Metro Sushi basically blamed me for ordering it with brown rice. I've ordered this in the past and this was never an issue before because they never put hot brown rice on it before. They also delivered it late - over the time it was supposed to come - and the soup that came with it was cold. They just lost a customer who has both ordered take-out, and eaten at their restaurant, for years. read more

You can't go wrong with Metro Sushi!!! I absolutely love this place!! To be honest, 99% of the time I order take out from them. But I have dined with them as well and the service is fantastic and so is the food. It's a small restaurant only a few tables so don't expect nothing major. But it's very clean and the staff is very professional. I always get the "Spicy Tuna Roll" and "Kani Salad". Those two items are my favorite and absolutely delicious. In the summertime, I do come by more often to get their "Honeydue Bubble Tea" with clear bubbles. It's so refreshing on those hot summer days and full of flavor!! Quality sushi for a decent price. The staff is always friendly on the phone and in person. The paying process to pick up is very comforting giving the pandemic. The is a plastic screen and they open and close it so there is minimal contact. You leave your signed receipt in a plastic bin I assume they collect later that night so there isn't a back and forth exchange. The main draw for me is the fried oysters. It is hard to find fried oysters at any sushi, cajun, seafood spot. This place has down graded a lot. The quality of the food is not what it used to be. When I say quality I mean the taste, portion and price. Their salad that comes with the lunch special is the iceberg lettuce and 1 piece of cucumber. Cold, it's like sucking on ice chips. I ordered their 2 rolls lunch special for $7.99. That comes with a salad and a miso soup that was also not good. The fish in the roll tasted a bit old like it was exposed too long in open air so it dried a bit at the edges. I have been ordering from this place for about 3 years and on consistent basis they have provided me with good tasting food. The things I love from menu include the shrimp hibachi fried rice, vegetable gyoza, shrimp shumai. I do love their spicy scallop was roll. Although, when you're ordering from them you may not see that option. I do love their common rolls such as Boston and shrimp tempura. I am not sure what type of soy sauce they send, I love it. It goes so perfectly with the food. They do have a lunch special and required have minimum dollar amount for delivery. Of course you can have a sit down meal. The space is extremely small. They have about 4-5 tables for the entire restaurant. It's not for large parties. Mostly for couples. This place is known for the delivery. They have health grade of A. I ordered takeout for me and my friend she got a Sakura roll and a bubble tea while I got a salmon combo box The delivery - it came pretty fast coming in 30 minutes which is definitely a plus the delivery boy was friendly Bubble tea - The taste was very mild sweet and milky but overall the bubble tea was below average which is still honestly good of you're a fan of bubble tea you can find better tea if you looked but I still wouldn't mind buying some more Sakura roll - The vegetables tasted very fresh with a very satisfying crunch the portion is alright not to much not to little Salmon teriyaki combo box - The miso soup and the California roll tasted like every other sushi place with I don't really mind to much but the salmon is pretty dry and bland and adding soy sauce really just to mask the taste so it was pretty underwhelming Conclusion - This place is a below average - average sushi place but I give it a 4 star for the proportion to price:taste you can't really expect to much from it but overall it did its job and I wouldn't mind ordering here again read more

Metro Sushi was my favorite neighborhood sushi place. My roomies and I ordered from them every Tuesday night. The gyoza is great, the delivery man was my friend. Tonight that all changed. We placed our order at 7:30pm. It is now 9:30pm. I called 3 or 4 times, and the lady said the delivery man had already left. We then called grub hub and it turns out the restaurant misplaced our order. So not only am I starving, but the lady on the phone is a BIG FAT LIAR. If she had actually listened to me when I called the first time at 8:30pm, then they would have been able to realize that they misplaced the order, and I would be eating right now. Instead she just asked me for my address, pretended to listen, and told me the order was on its way. There are plenty of other sushi places that will deliver to me (New Tokyo on Union Turnpike in particular) and probably won't LIE TO ME REPEATEDLY. Overpriced subpar small portions! We tried Grub-hub for the first time, the only good thing about this place was that they delivered our order pretty quick. Miso soup was below room temp an nothing special. When you bite in to sushi one of the first things you should think is " freshness" You wont get that sensation from this joint. Came here on Snowtober 2011. To start, avoid the first table for four as you walk in - it's annoyingly wobbly. Looking through the menu, you'll notice a bunch of combo specials (for lunch and dinner as well as sushi/sashimi combos). In retrospect, those are likely your best bet if you want to get more bang for your buck as their portions are sort of skimpy considering their prices. The fish came from the freezer, and wasnt entirely defrosted yet, but that wasnt a big issue for me. Other than that, it tasted good Spicy Tuna Roll - This was ok, not that spicy at all, didnt notice it. But other than that its ok Dragon Roll - Pretty disappointed in it, didnt really taste much eel and its smaller than I thought it would be. Beware of delievery people trying to scam you! I've ordered here several times, with minimal issues (one time we waited 3ish hours for food) but it's cheap and satisfying enough that we ordered again. However, we won't be ordering from here again. Tonight our food arrives and the guy confronts me and says I didn't leave a tip (which I did on the card like I always do) he says it's not on there and that I didn't tip him over and over...I explain that I left the tip on the card and went inside. I go double check my email receipt, yep the tip is there. I call the restaurant, they only say "yeah" and "ok" when I mention that they should let the guy know I left a tip. I'm not sure if the restaurant tried to scam him out of the tip or if he tried to scam me...either way it's super shady and not somewhere I want to continue doing business with. read more
