Lady said she was already having a bad day and busy. She did not check me in until 9:10 and forgot to give me my paperwork. I told a nurse. The nurse got her to check me in and give me my paperwork to sign. They gave conflicting instructions for the out-patient procedure, one set was for those who required sedation and the other was not. Referrals never made it to the specialists. I called for medication refills and they gave me the runaround and said they wouldn't message the doctor. I had to make an appointment again even though my last visit was a month earlier. Be sure to get a printout for their policies regarding calling for refills and opt out of any online or mobile check-in processes. They take forever to do their job.

The problem was that they never got approval for the injections, nor did they tell me that. They then billed my insurance for anything and everything they could and decided to bill me over $400 for things they could not get out of my insurance. I've complained numerous times and still am getting billed for it. Check your explanations of benefits before you see them or you may end up like me.

After a few visits the Dr indicated that custom orthotics could help me. The price would be over $600 I told him I could not afford it. He suggested the front office could research it through my insurance to see if it was covered. They agreed to do so. They called me a few days later and said I was in luck! My insurance agreed to pay. They scheduled me an appointment and ordered my orthotics. A few months later I received a bill for $670.00. plus a bill for $90. fitting fee. I was told to contact a billing agency in NJ since his office does not take care of this. The agency was very nice, but there was nothing they could do. They told me they suspected I would be calling since they had told the Dr. office this was not covered. I then called my insurance who had a record of the call from the Dr. office telling them it was not covered. I called the doctors office back they said this was my fault, I should have double checked my insurance. Even though this was their fault. I offered to split the bill. They said absolutely not. It amazes me that a professional business would not own up to their mistake. We have all had such an awful year ,(I had to close down part of my business) I am only asking them to do the right thing.

Actually I have several issues in my back and started having such severe pains in my legs I could not walk, drive or live normally. Dr Raiten has given me my life back, I can walk, drive and my depression has lifted as I can now see a future instead of sitting in a chair each day being very depressed. I cannot say how awesome he is, as he called me at home and also texted me to see how I was. I can't remember the last time a Dr did that. His staff is compassionate and patient also. I would recommend IPA to anyone wanting relief, He Is The Best!

I truly believe there is something unstable and dangerous about the office manager and "wife of the…read moreowner", Katie. She made a point of telling me that she was the doctor's wife and this is "her office". She scolded me like a child and told me I was being rude to her staff and that I signed an agreement saying I would no longer be their patient if I was rude. She was the one who was rude! Her and "her" staff. The woman at the desk had an attitude and was flippant with me like she didn't care. I was in so much pain I needed help walking. It was horrible pain and they did not show concern and instead made me feel unsafe and worse. I was grouchy and almost in tears relaying my issues. I've never been in that much pain in my life and I didn't know what was wrong with me. It was also scary because the only thing that my family doctor would do is prescribe medications that made me vomit. So medication was out and I felt I had no choice but to go to this place and I felt trapped. I felt trapped by the office manager and I thought maybe she'd have me arrested if I didn't leave. She is scary. I felt like I was in an unsafe situation and environment. I thought maybe the "office manager" would get physical with me and do something to me. There was no way in hell I'd trust these monsters with my back for any kind of injections. Honestly, I can completely relate to elderly patients who are abused by nurses now that I've had this experience. I am older and not too far off from being elderly so this is a grave concern and I'm sure the medical board should look into these people. That being said. Do not trust these people as they may be actually harming patients and we just haven't heard about it yet. I believe the office staff are dangerous. Please stay away from there. Any response from the doctor in response to my review here would never amount to enough. I do not need excuses. We need this place shut down. Excuses don't amount to anything in the grand scheme of things. And the 4 star reviews here are paid for reviews. Trust your instincts or don't go here at all would be safest. Especially if you are in pain or an older person. We go here for pain but they'd rather we not.

Front desk personnel was unable to explain the waivers, consent forms, or name the exact procedure to even get checked-in. The office manager is nice new and getting used to the processes. Some of the nurses don't even know how to take vitals, blood pressure, properly. The doctor is great. Dr. Rumbaugh is very good and overworked at multiple locations. I hope they are paying him well. But this medical company functions with HQ in El Paso. Their IT dept lacks serious GUI programming skills. I had to check-in, preregister and check-in again online even though I was standing in the office. Try another location because this is the worst of the NMPC offices. I hope to find a better pain management office with a doctor as competent as Dr Rumbaugh. If you are just a person who wants opiates or other drugs to feed an addiction, this is not the place for you. They have strict guidelines for administering pain meds. That is a good thing. I have structural damage to my spine and discs. With severe damage comes severe pain. NMPC can help you but not this location.
