    Disgusting store

Absolutely the nastiest place I've been in not even completely because of the food this store is DIRTY! The rice is bland and undercooked...not much to say because the looks of this place says enough

Beef and Broccoli. Maybe 5 small pieces of tough beef

Don't eat here. The place is filthy. I'm not sure it's ever been cleaned. It's a takeout joint so don't plan on staying to eat. The kitchen is so dirty. I'm not sure how they passed the health inspection. The lunch menus is average priced, but portions are small. Beef and broccoli was mostly undercooked broccoli. Hardly any beef. A big PASS for me. Go anywhere else.

Is this the best Chinese food I've ever had? No. Is it comfort food through and through? Absolutely. This little hole in the wall spot has been here for 30 years. It (currently) has no sign, very little atmosphere, and nothing that you won't see on menus for similar places. What it has is consistency. Decades of steady orders. Of pleasing the community. Of feeding hungry UD students and busy families night after night. As a student my regular order was beef chow fun or mu shu chicken with an order of steamed dumplings. My recent visit reunited me with the dumplings, but with a different choice for my main meal. My General Tsao's chicken was tasty enough to know that it must be a crowd pleaser. The dumplings were just as I remembered them, doughy and sweet and just what I wanted. I appreciated their commitment to safety. There was no dine in available when I went, but my order was taken and handed over with care. Gloves and masks were evident and what I saw of the interior was clean. This restaurant will always be a part of my college experience. My then boyfriend and I shared an order of the steamed dumplings almost every weekend during my senior year. This time we ate our dumplings in the front seat of our car, which is as close as I guess we will get to the scratchy fabric of a dorm room loveseat. It was a familiar meal shared with my partner, and was a lovely reminder of the joys of consistency.

Dumpling skin extremely thick. You can see parts of the skin aren't cooked.

To start, I am an avid lover of Chinese food. I've been going to the same hometown Chinese place for 20+ years. I ordered from New Number 1 Chinese and got the beef and broccoli with fried rice, and the dumplings. The dumplings came steaming. The dumpling skin was extremely thick for some odd reason. It didn't appear cooked in places because it was so thick. The meat was however good. Kind of had a unique flavor. On to my entree of beef and broccoli; it seemed very oily. The sauce did not stick to any of the ingredients due to the high amount of oil. The meat seemed a bit on the rubbery side. The veggies, good but now oily. Finally, the fried rice that came with the beef was extremely dry and over cooked. Ever eat dry rice? It's not great. Also no sign of those signature veggies (green beans) etc. This was some of the most lackluster Chinese food I've ever had. Really a shame too as I had been told it was good. I'll stick with Red Bowl on Main Street while I'm at school.

There's flies everywhere. They have the doors wide open. Back and front. No air conditioning. Will never eat here.

We had to wave down the chef in the kitchen and she was able to alert someone that we were there! Happy that we stayed because the peek in the kitchen we were able to see fresh bread being made and food being prepared that I wanted to eat! After this experience in the beginning, it was all uphill from there from the service of our waitress the big booth seats to the food experience. The only thing we did not enjoy was the French onion soup, which was kind of flavorless, but we took it to go, and I will definitely doctor it up and eat it later for sure. Go here!

We started looking up restaurants and Water Street popped up. When we pulled up, we weren't sure if we were at the right place. Based on the raving reviews, we expected a "flashy", fancy place. Instead it was so "unassuming." Upon walking in....it was just what we needed. It felt "home-y." The hostess greeted us with a warm smile and "welcome," along with some salt water taffy. Then we met our server Caden. He was outstanding!!!! He could tell we needed some good food and drinks and boy did he deliver. My husband and I took his recommendations and ordered the "banana old fashion" and crab crostini...HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! Then we met Cassie!!! She'd stopped by to see if our daughter (9) needed a refill. Her personality, hospitality, and attention was incredible. Between Caden and Cassie, we laughed so hard, quickly forgetting about the long day we'd had. Traveling often and coming from PA; good customer service is rare. So to find somewhere that makes us feel "right at home," is a blessing. My husband and daughter agreed, we had to come back. We returned yesterday for the second time but this time with our family (from ATL). We'd spoken (more like bragged) so much about our last experience, that they were just as excited as us to return. Once again, we saw our girl Cassie (who was just as amazing as the first time) and our server Jamie. Everything from the Chesapeake fondue, calamari, and cream of crab soup to the drinks and the double crab cakes (P.S they are huge...could barely eat one) were incredible. By the end of our meal, our family was just as impressed! Thank you Jamie and Cassie for such a unforgettable experience. We will be back again!!!

The staff were super friendly and checked in just enough without being annoying. The food was the best part for sure. Everything tasted fresh and actually well-seasoned, especially the seafood. There's also a nice variety on the menu, so it's easy to find something you'll like. Overall, it's a really solid spot. If you're into seafood or just want something different with good flavor, I'd definitely recommend it. I'd go back for sure.

I put it on the fresh pita and it was an excellent starter. We ordered the Caesar Salad - it was very good - fresh, green leafy lettuce - crispy croutons, a sprinkling of grated cheese, and a delicious dressing. Next up, the Crab Bisque. I lived in Maryland for 30 years and had crab bisque many, many times. This was the first crab bisque that wasn't tomato based - it was a brownish, creamy version. It was more like chowder - although when I looked up 'bisque', it most certainly can be creamy. I might have been fine with the 'creamy version', but it lacked any crab flavor and had no crab in it - not one shred. I've never had any fish soup that had no fish in it. I took a few spoonfuls and left it. My partner tried it and came to the same conclusion. The entrees came next - I got the Seared Branzino and my partner got the Shrimp and Scallops. The Seared Branzino was okay - there were bites where I had a very fishy taste - and it was a very small piece of fish. My partner's Shrimp and Scallops came with steamed garlic spinach and mashed potatoes. The Scallops were tender and cooked perfectly - they were in a delicious sauce and had a very nice sear. However, the Shrimp were tough and chewy - we were both very surprised to have one item (scallops) so good, and another (shrimp) on the same plate, that was so bad. The steamed garlic spinach and mashed potatoes were very good. While our Caesar salad, Scallops and side dishes were very good, the rest of the meal was lacking.

My bill was over $160, the tip should go directly to the waitress who waited on me. Since when am I the consumer responsible for "tipping" the cook? They should be paid a "living wage" by the restaurant instead of that fee being passed on to me. The tip should've been $34 which again should've went straight to the waitress! I will not be going back to the restaurant! I had an overpriced drink and then almost $10 extra dollars was added to the bill as a tax in addition to a food tax. $100 meal, $20 drink turned into a $179 bill for crabs....... We will find a place in Delaware to eat good seafood instead. I believe in tips and I believe in paying for good food! I do not believe in nickel & dining consumers. I wish the restaurant well. But I will not be back. How dare a restaurant tell me how much to tip & charge me $3 addtl dollars for butter which should come with seafood as a dipping sauce!!!! Do better Micks but if not they'll be a closed sign on Pulaski HWY where you used to be! You got me once, you will NOT get me again!

Even though we were at the furthest possible table from the stage, the lady wailing away up there was drowning out any sort of attempts at conversation. There were other segmented sections to dine. but they were all filled up, and it's pretty obvious why. Food was good. Most tables were doing the crab thing. That's fun for sure, but not for me, not that night. Lot of crackin' for little bits of meat. It does fill the air with the lovely sweet smell of crab + Old Bay, which I admit I am a sucker for (Old Bay wings holla). Most of regular menu is fried stuff - shrimp, clam strips, fish, umm, what am I forgetting? Oysters, scallops. Yeah so any seafood really, fried up, served with fries and 'slaw, complete with the red and white checkered paper and plastic wicker baskets. It's as hometown family restaurant as it gets, and since it's in Maryland by the water, it's seafood oriented. This place is perfect when you don't want to cook on a random weekday night so you just round up up the kids and take the family out. But if you want to just plan a night with a group of friends and crush bushels of crabs all night then I say go for it.
