She'd stopped by to see if our daughter (9) needed a refill. Her personality, hospitality, and attention was incredible. So to find somewhere that makes us feel "right at home," is a blessing. My husband and daughter agreed, we had to come back. My cod was well cooked and very flaky, I wish the pancetta was crispy. It seems like the pancetta was just wrapped around after the fish was cooked which I found odd. The ratatouille underneath was well seasoned and delicious. Our server was super sweet and attentive, the service was great.

I lived in Maryland for 30 years and had crab bisque many, many times. This was the first crab bisque that wasn't tomato based - it was a brownish, creamy version. I might have been fine with the 'creamy version', but it lacked any crab flavor and had no crab in it - not one shred. I've never had any fish soup that had no fish in it. I took a few spoonfuls and left it. My partner tried it and came to the same conclusion. The entrees came next - I got the Seared Branzino and my partner got the Shrimp and Scallops. The Seared Branzino was okay - there were bites where I had a very fishy taste - and it was a very small piece of fish. My partner's Shrimp and Scallops came with steamed garlic spinach and mashed potatoes. The Scallops were tender and cooked perfectly - they were in a delicious sauce and had a very nice sear. However, the Shrimp were tough and chewy - we were both very surprised to have one item (scallops) so good, and another (shrimp) on the same plate, that was so bad. We got a dozen Xlarge male crabs for $89. Great taste, super-fast service and asked several times if everything was ok. While we were eating, noticed the stream of people coming in to get orders and walking out happy with trays of hot food, rolls of paper in hand (table cover). We also got hush puppy and fries, both sides, hot and tasty. Saw the mussels and clams and shrimp in the display case for other options they offer as well as four sizes of crabs to choose from. You can buy just one or a whole dozen. Just soft drinks were available, but you can BYOB. I highly recommend this small hidden gem for a crab fix. Didn't realize they have been in my neighborhood for the past year, don't overlook this crab house as I have. We plan to be back soon and often. They should be paid a "living wage" by the restaurant instead of that fee being passed on to me. The tip should've been $34 which again should've went straight to the waitress!
