    Jumbo Lump Back-fin Carb Cakes

Our server Melissa was very kind and helpful when we spoke over the phone. She greeted us warmly when we arrived and was very helpful and honest about food and menu options which we appreciated. The restaurant overall was very clean, friendly staff, and wonderful ambiance.

Service was great, soup and sides were good but the crab cake had absolutely no lumps of crab meat - only shredded. I expect some lumps of crab meat when ordering a dinner crab cake entree.

Updated review. This restaurant is again a solid 4/5 stars. This is one of my dad's regular places, he lives in Newark. He likes coming here for the oysters. Anyway, in June '21, we came here for dinner and had a terrible experience. The place was understaffed and the food was subpar. I basically said I would not go back. I don't write bash reviews here especially on a place where it was good in the past. Fast forward to December '22 & January '23. He insisted on going, for his birthday dinner to get.....oysters. I said okay and and wasn't hopeful. However, we went early and was surprised that there was a bit of a makeover in the main dining area. There was fresh paint and some of the seating areas were either redone or replaced. The menus were updated and they had added some additional options and, had daily specials. The food was really really good on both subsequent visits. The seafood Bouilee I had in December was outstanding. The service on both visits was great. Again, I'm not a "basher" here on Yelp. I'll chalk the bad visit in '21 as a result of it being the height of the pandemic. All restaurants and small businesses suffered greatly and the dining industry as a whole took it on the chin for two years because of it. I'm happy that this place survived being that it's my dad's favorite place in town.

My wife had found glowing reviews of this, so when booking our Delaware stay, we made sure to be staying close by. It is located at the end of a strip mall, and seemed modest from the outside, but once you walk in, the food smells tell you the story. We shared an order of the seafood spring rolls and then moved on to the entrees - shrimp and lobster mac and cheese for me. Fried seafood cobb salad for my wife. Our waitress Britney was delightful and effidient. It was a grand evening.

We came here with a large group and the restaurant was very accommodating. Our server Sam was awesome she handled the large group with ease and was friendly. I really enjoyed my soup and the calamari was great. I also got the crabcake sandwich and I do feel it needs a lot more flavor even from the looks of it It looks bland, but it was plenty of crab little filler. As we were leaving a band was setting up, which is a nice addition. I would come here again I look forward to trying more items on the menu

Special of the day is two pounds of boiled or fried shrimp. I went boiled. Trying to watch my figure. Smothered in Old Bay. Old bay is salt. Worst seasoning on the market in my book. So waisted 20$. So I tried the fried. Yep. Waist of another 20$. Fresh out of a frozen bag. Don't call yourself a seafood restaurant if you cook out of a freezer. I sat at the bar. Had to wait on the bartender for beer. I get it. I'm not a local. I'm not known. My bill due to bad food is double just because I wanted to see if I would at least get some good fried shrimp. Cool pub look. It has potential, but I think the owners and staff are happy just keeping the locals happy. Ambiance is lots of rookies cracking crab pounding on tables. I was told this was a good seafood place. Starting to get scared about what North easterners call good seafood.

Yeah we randomly stopped by this restaurant in the middle of our drive from Baltimore - Philadelphia, and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of food here. Pretty much everything that we tried here was fantastic: Fresh oysters on the half shell, crab cakes, short-rib, lobster mac and cheese, seafood jambalaya, etc. All of the seafood was really fresh and prepared well. The only one that was maybe not up to par were the crab cakes (My boy Bphan makes some bomb crab cakes so my expectations are high). The jambalaya was a bit misleading because it was so soupy that it was basically a gumbo. Still really good though, the spicy andouille inside was awesome. To top things off, the free bread here was amazing. It was baked fresh with some garlic and seasonings on the crust, and some butter to spread on top. I was mostly surprised by this restaurant because it's in an unassuming strip mall off of the freeway, not close to any body of water, beach, or pier. Don't sleep on the Blue Crab Grill.

I really wanted to love this place but the experience was average. When I see oysters and a price I'm thinking dozen, not 6. Ordered the Chesapeakes and they were tiny and not even separated from the shell... soup was ok but had that consistency that made you think that it came from a can. Mussels were good and the crab nachos were decent.

What a great place for very good seafood. The only negative is that they took the Nashville Hot Oysters off the menu.

I only tried the lobster roll which was pretty good, too bad the French fries were not cooked.

No pancakes, (unsfuffed) French toast, bagels with lox. Chairs are old and extremely uncomfortable. Place is loud even if a few people are there. It's literally hell. Horrible service. Waiter brought me 2/3 of a cup of warm coffee and asked if I wanted milk or cream and sugar instead of bringing them over. Had to wait five minutes for my eerily specific request for a certain number of creams and Splenda. No spoon or other way to mix the cream and sugar. I couldn't find a single thing on the menu that seemed even remotely close to palatable, so I ordered an English muffin, thinking I'd be safe. Wrong. It was doughy and soaked with butter. Should I have told them to hold the butter because I was a jelly guy? Who knows. I've never felt more like leaving a zero dollar tip than I did at Greenhouse Gastropub. Skip it.

Three of us met there for lunch today, and it was delicious. Two of us had the Chicken and Waffles: thick, tender waffles topped with beautifully seasoned fried chicken thighs, then doused tableside by Kimberly with house-made maple-jalapeño syrup. Melting butter and scattered pecans added just the right crunch and richness. I also tried the blue corn grits--creamy, savory, and delicious. Our third guest had the Eggs Benedict with collard greens: perfectly poached eggs, silky hollandaise, and greens that were absolutely "grandma good." Drinks included a great sangria and spicy Bloody Marys, and dessert was carrot cake with homemade vanilla ice cream--golden yellow, egg-rich, custardy, and speckled with real vanilla. Great service, casual ambiance, and down-home, chef-cooked food with a touch of grandma's magic. Definitely recommend.

Why is there not a dress code? It ruined my entire evening with my date. Good food can only last so far when the ambience stinks. Speaks volumes about who they cater to. It's very loud in there. And, the ambience and decor is cafeteria like. The food is good. The service is good. But why they don't have some form code is beyond me.
