Love New Order! My friend and I have been coming here pretty regularly and we really enjoy their drinks. They have fun matchas and good seasonal latte options. Beans are good too - have bought them for home several times! Can also order online and pick up. The staff are super friendly and they are quick making drinks! The food is good too! I got the Banana Latte, added Mocha Syrup and it was awesome! A lot of lattes end up not having enough espresso taste and are watered down but the ratios were great and the syrups didn't make it too sweet. The coffee bean taste was rich, not burnt, but strong enough to have depth. The banana syrup is a must, its clear they home make it, no artificial taste, just deliciousness. There is a ton of construction on Jefferson right now but it's easy to park out back, off of 10 mile. Definitely don't let the construction stop you from supporting this local buisness! read more

Very good coffee!! Got the nitro cold brew and it was awesome. You get the slightest hint of bitterness which I absolutely enjoy. It's a small spot but they roast their own beans and to me it makes all the difference from a standard coffee shop. Service is always friendly and you can tell they are hard at work every day. New Order is a small, local coffee shop with fast and friendly service! I really enjoyed their cookie butter latte for a lighter, buttery flavor and the peppermint mocha for the holidays. Great to have a little coffee shop in SCS. They have some unique latte flavors...cereal milk latte!!! I ordered a Carmel latte and a vanilla latte. They tasted very rich and creamy....i just wish they were hot! They were just lukewarm. I didn't ask to have them heated...cause I honestly didn't want them reheated and didn't have time for them to make two more. I guess if I go back...I'll get iced coffee!!! I'm so happy to have a local coffee shop so close to home! New Order is located right next to Baffin Brewery right at the corner of 10 Mile and Jefferson in SCS. The place itself is small, cozy, and bright. Not much indoor space but the shared outdoor tables at Baffin are there to enjoy your coffee outside. I love that they now offer online ordering. I always get so anxious when ordering coffee in person, so being able to order online and see all the available options really helps. I love the iced cereal milk lattes and I look forward to trying other iced drinks in the future. There's a large parking lot out back, which makes getting in and out really easy. Definitely my new coffee spot! read more

Order was made prompt and it was very busy inside. I ordered online a few weeks ago, and the staff went above and beyond to make it right when my drink wasn't ready as fast as it usually is, and sent a message saying the next order was on them. Highest quality service! Everything is still delicious, and they're growing a food menu! Breakfast sandwiches, pop tarts and coffee cake. There are also a couple spots to sit in the cafe now! I was so excited to step into New Order coffee roasters. I've been to several cafés, but sadly, the other café is closed and they were sold to the current owner, but the other café is closed down through the pandemic and now that there's only one location in Saint Clair Shores I really enjoyed their microbrew, I recommend Guatemalan it's really smooth, [[HIGHLIGHT]]I like that it's a small cozy place and they show the roaster more about the coffee than just sitting down and having a coffee grabbing place connected to a bar[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] if you're looking for coffee and just a grab and go and there's a bar next-door if you're looking for food, you can walk down the streets Jefferson and other places around, but I recommend you're in the area. First timer today! I walked and got a Cookie Butter latte with oat milk because she said it was really popular and it wasn't too sweet. I am already done with it because it was so delicious! It was a rich flavor and had notes of brown butter and creamy espresso. I thought the lady working was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. She had an overall friendly vibe that felt beyond customer service. She told me all about their menu and how you can customize espresso blends. Just kidding, it's never a long wait because the barista practically has your order ready before you're done saying what you want. This team is fast, so kind, and you can tell they love what they do. Their nitro cold brew is incredible, but if you want sweet you have to try the cereal milk latte--lately I get the oat milk steeped in Frosted Flakes and wow, it's drool-worthy! They have the cutest mini homemade poptarts with a great flaky texture! Today was their soft opening. The hell if I'm going to write anything but a five-star review in their first hour of business. How lucky is this area to get a cool coffee shop like this?! The location is fabulous, accessible by scooter with a huge parking lot out back. Easily walkable from Blossom Heath park. It shares an outdoor porch with Baffin Brewing but there is no indoor seating. Lots of puppies around while people sipped coffee. Service was quick even for their first day and a line out the door-- I've waited longer at Starbucks on Hollywood. I'm not a coffee drinker and was thrilled to see an entire menu board of exciting items for "not coffee." I got a matcha tea lemonade for myself, whole milk for the toddler, and a latte for my husband at home. He said it was good. Everyone was whispering about the cookie butter iced latte, though. Although my cappuccino was decent, they had no single bean varietals for bulk purchase. I bought a bag of Columbian medium roast which was pretty bland and mixed in with other bean varieties. It tasted weird to me. I am used to Diedrich's in Orange County and did not recognize the coffee roaster as it was so small. I had a heart attack when I read the bill and found out I paid $40 a pound for mediocre coffee beans. I don't think this shop will survive in Saint Clair Shores. Even if it were located in downtown Birmingham or Franklin no one is going to pay $40 a pound for mediocre coffee especially when younger people have big student loan payments and can't even afford to rent in Detroit. read more

Disappointed. Went to try the coffee and the food, and the food stood out more. We got an iced americano with cream, vanilla, and caramel along with an iced Biscoff cookie latte with low fat milk. Both espresso drinks, both totally underwhelming. If I went back, I would need an extra shot or two to even taste the coffee. Think of it like water with a small squeeze of lemon. Watery (which I know IS an americano) and flavorless. Compared to Starbucks or another chain, extremely weak coffee at the same price. We're saddened by this because we were very hopeful. The food was the star of the show, however. Breakfast burrito was large, filling, and delicious. Breakfast sandwich was the same. However, being a coffee roaster, I can't justify going there to simply eat and avoid the coffee. The service was okay - not overly friendly, not outwardly rude, just meh. It's a very small place with a cute vibe that just did not live up to the expectation that was given based on other reviews. Worthy of trying for sure to see if it's your "cup of tea," but we are saddened that we won't be returning for a second $30 bill. read more
