New Panda gives great customer service. If something is wrong with an order, they want you to be happy, they will do their best to make you happy, they are what customer service is all about. Everything you want from your local Chinese restaurant. All of the food is good including the fried rice, lo mein, general sales, chicken, sweet-and-sour chicken, barbecue spareribs and eggrolls. The service is good. It is always ready within 10 to 15 minutes. read more

This was a good Chinese place close by with most of the typical dishes Americans want. We got the sesame chicken with white rice, pork fried rice, egg drop soup, vegetable fried rice, hot and sour soup and two egg rolls. The egg rolls seemed a little pricey, but they were good. This was enough with some leftovers for 4 people. Everything was tasty and decent size portions. We will definitely be back. read more

Satisfactory for chinese fast food. Ordered chicken with orange flavor, came with a tinge spice to it- nothing overpowering, side of rice, and eggroll (seemed more like a spring roll, nonetheless it was still good). Sesame chicken is good asl i had it twice. First time it was rly good wit friends, second time was yesterday, january 8 2024. I am currently writing this while on the toilet starting my brains out. And I had to go to school after even though I woke up at 3 in the morning yacking my guts up. The lady I was at the front was cool but she was a little stern when I didn't hear her the first time she called my order, it's not that big of a deal though. There are plenty of things I personally like about New Panda Chinese. Proximity to my home is why I started going. Convenience and value have kept me going. And our relationship with the staff is what we have come to appreciate most. We have been enjoying New Panda Chinese for more than 10-years! We embraced some 'go to' menu items over the years - sesame chicken, sweet & sour chicken, and beef with mixed veg. Add an order of spring rolls and a pair of egg rolls and we have plenty for two adults. The fried rice is particularly good with the sesame chicken and beef with veg. Naturally, I prefer the steamed rice with the sweet & sour. The staff is always friendly and appreciative. I am willing to attribute some of this to our mutual familiarity. This is true even when we call in an order. If one is new to New Panda, take a moment to study the printed menu. It will explain the differences between a la carte items and combos. The staff will explain differences between "this or that," such as which is a larger portion or which includes egg rolls. But they won't spend a lot of time with you. After all, there are a lot of things happening in the kitchen including perhaps prepping my dinner! Looking forward! read more

I have been going there for 17 years, and recently it appears that there are new owners. The food and recipes of the food has changed so much! This used to be my all time favorite, but not anymore. Taste just like every other place in Garner now. Very disappointing and I will not be going back. Not because it's bad food, it's just not good like it used to be. read more

We've been going to New Panda for many years now, mainly because of the proximity to our home. We just can't beat the convenience on those "frazzled ends of the day when you just don't want to cook" type of days. Overall, I would say that nearly every dish we've had is pretty average. Not bad, not great... just sort of in-between. I frequently get the chicken chow mein, not overly tasty, not bad... just average. My husband gets the Kung Pow Chicken and even though he likes it super spicy, it's never quite right. I also like the fried dumplings, but again, a bit doughy and... average. The egg drop soup is on of my daughter's favorites, but it doesn't have a lot of flavor. I wouldn't say that this is a go-out-of-your-way destination, but if you're in the neighborhood, its a-ok: your reliable, friendly, average neighbor. read more

Love their egg rolls! They are crispy and full I've veggies and flavor. Their ragoons are folded into triangles but are so full of flavorful cream cheese mix that you don't mind. Also the boneless Ribs are amazing! Just the right amount of sweetness! The house fried rice and chicken fried rice have a lot of meat but the flavor overall is a little bland. Terriable. I got spicy orange chicken - it was not orange chicken and was not spicy. The chicken was stringy and tough. The vegetable fried rice was rice and onions only (paid extra). The crab ragons were less than average. My co-worker got sesame chicken... his chicken was the same texture as mine. The girl answering the phone talked so fast and between the accent and fast talking, it was very difficult to understand her. No smiling faces behind the counter and no thank you or come again. I ordered General's Tso chicken and it was as if someone had ordered the same thing hours before but never picked it up so they decided to give it to me! Sorry I have to completely disagree with the other reviewer. I drive 20 minutes out of my way to go to New Panda. There are 3 others right by my house but the food just doesn't compare. I love to get the sesame chicken or chicken lo mein, which are always AWESOME. My husband loves the crab rangoons, and their egg rolls are delicious as well. Well worth the drive! read more

If you like under seasoned bland food this is the place for you. Soy sauce and maybe even some hot sauce are needed to jazz up the food here. The wontons are to thick and again not so much flavor.. . The white rice is your only safe bet here at the New Panda. Good luck venturing the rest of the menu. read more

I think I like it most because a man tried to grab me and the young man behind the counter stopped him and kicked him out before I really knew what was happening. Not very happy with them tonight!!! Supposed to be open until 10:00. I called at 9:44 to place an order that was very easy and my child was going to pick it up for me. When I go my food is usually made in 10 minutes. Young girl answered phone and said, "I'm sorry were closed" and then hung up on me. I called back, no answer. Takeout is always hot and fresh. Even though this is a typical Chinese restaurant it does seem to be the best Chinese in Garner.

The food was good, but communication was difficult (non existent) when you have special requests.

Solid choice for Chinese take out on the Garner area. Medium spice level on dishes such as General Tso's or Beef with Garlic Sauce. Lo Mein is a little greasy but much less so then at China King. Rice trends to be dry. read more

Today I went into New Panda off of timber drive. Placed an, order got home my order was not right. I went back I was not mad or anything I just wanted the order to be corrected no problem.....until the male cook got upset . He said that what i asked for was what I got and I told him I am not mad or anything but I know what I ordered, and asking me what was wrong with me.... I was like huh!?. He begins to get very loud and begins to yell at me and all I said was that I want a refund. He was really not willing to give a refund for $5.35. I told him all I want is my money back and he kept asking me why and I am just like you are being rude to me. He takes my car swipes my card throws it back at me and begins to curse under his breath. Never again will I come back to this place. I have never had someone get so angry over a mistake that they made . I always loved coming to this place, but now I have to find another place. I have been a customer of theirs for 11 years and this doesn't make any sense and this was my first time returning an order that was not right. read more
