    Children's Night

I've been to Palmer's Fresh Grill many times before, but this visit didn't quite measure up. I ordered the ribeye steak medium rare, and while the flavor was fine, both the steak and sides (mashed potatoes and asparagus) were served on the cool side, which was disappointing. The calamari appetizer ended up being the highlight of the meal--crispy, well-seasoned, and enjoyable. I liked the peanut sauce. Service was adequate (barely) but nothing memorable, and the atmosphere was tough to enjoy. It happened to be children's night, and the noise level was off the charts. Between the underwhelming service and the loud environment, it just didn't feel like the same Palmer's I've come to expect. Hopefully next time will be closer to the standard I've experienced in the past.

Classy and elegant, yet casual with friendly staff. Both indoor and outdoor seating, the restaurant is next to a lovely little lake with a fountain and swans, ducks, and geese. Lots of fans and shade keep you comfortable on a hot summer evening. Love the entire ambience of this place! Everything we ordered was top notch! So flavorful and well seasoned. We were a party of four and everyone completely enjoyed their meal. This is a great place for a date, meeting friends, and family. Buzzing with activity but still a calm and relaxing environment. Definitely recommend!

I love this place. They were helpful when we thought we would be late for our reservation and let us move it back 30 minutes. This is one of my top fish places. I had the Mahi Florentine and it was to die for. I was so full, that I couldn't order dessert. My grandson had a burger which I suggested to be done medium. Their medium was not as done as I expected. It should have teen medium-well. My wife got the fish tacos that were so good that my daughter and grandson wanted her to share. My daughter got mini burgers (which can't be under cooked), that were not as good as the fish tacos. My daughter and wife shared a bread pudding with ice cream. My grandson got an extra ice cream. It was great. If ever in Lexington, I would suggest going to Palmer's Grills.

Went to Palmers with a group. I wanted to sit outside at the bar, but the people I was with thought it was too hot so we went inside. I had the Sashimi. It was meh, and I wouldn't order it again. The wait for our food was interminable. The food came out in dribs and drabs. It had been some time since I'd been to Palmers, but never experienced such poor service. Not enthused to return, except for drinks on the patio. 67

We came for restaurant week this year in 2025 and it was amazing perfect weather and delicious food! The bread, pudding and ice cream is to die for! I need more of that in my life.

Lovely atmosphere. Perfect outside seating with a bar for the patio as well. Our waitress, Haley, was great! All the food we ordered was fantastic. The seafood queso was delicious. The food took a little longer than I would've liked getting to us but it was worth the wait. I got little bit a side of mashed potatoes and she absolutely devoured them. Really glad I got to check this place out as my last Lexington experience

A real Lexington gem! Inside or patio seating you will enjoy beautiful and comfortable surroundings. The food is delicious! The menu has lots of choices so everyone can find something. Service is usually fast and always friendly. Peak weekend hours can have a wait. After dinner you can take a few moments to feed the ducks (when in residence)!

Does it get much better than Prosecco and duck watching? I can't speak to the food (at least recently), but one of my favorite nice weather activities is having a drink and visiting the ducks and geese at Palmer's! The bartenders always have a great personality and accommodate my funky and weird drink requests. Great service, elegant venue, amazing patio!

Highly recommend the seafood queso! It was amazing. The Diablo pasta was enough to share. We also tried the salmon Oscar and Imperial Flounder. The pasta was my favorite. We're sat by the window and watched the swans swim. Our food came out fast. I would recommend working on appetizers before ordering dinner so they don't cross. You also get bread with your meal.

Fabulous service, beautiful space, and good food. Chowder was yummy and perfect for a wintry day. Catfish plate was good; super fresh. Would have loved a but more spice in the breading. Bread and olive oil was fresh and delicious. Service was excellent - attentive without being overwhelming.

Last night two of my friends and I went to Palmer's to celebrate one of my friends' birthday. It wasn't stifling hot outside so we opted to sit outside so that we could enjoy the view of the lane. I definitely recommend sitting outside if it's possible. I had the peach sangria to drink and it was light and refreshing--perfect for a summer evening. We split the calamari for an appetizer and it was good--not huge portions but the peanut sauce was a tasty change from the typical marinara sauce that you get at most places. I had the Caribbean chicken salad as my entree and it was okay. It wasn't served with very much dressing but I was able to get more from our server. I had a taste of my friend's shrimp and grits and it was outstanding. I would definitely recommend that next time!

The awesome aspect of this restaurant is definitely the great outdoor atmosphere. A little spot of serenity in the heart of "don't want to drive there" Lexington. The inside is nicely decorated as well. My food was just OK. I ordered the Club sandwich. The turkey on the club was worse than some I've had from fast food restaurants. Along the lines of processed pasteurized meat. Very gross and unexpected considering the price point. We loved the bread and dipping oil and my husband enjoyed his burger and truffle fries. He gave it an 8.5 out of ten. Our server was wonderful. However, getting seated was a process. Apparently the hostess had no clue as to what the situation was outside and had to go have a long conversation with a waitress and then had to go and get our table settings. Just seemed awkward and unprofessional for a nice restaurant. We were confused as to why the giant fans outside were pointing at the patrons sitting directly under the outdoor ceiling fans - none of which were turned on. Seems like a no-brainer to have the fans on low for those tables and use the large fans for the rest of the outdoor patronage. Fighting off the flies during our meal was a definite downer. There is also an amazing bar on the water with TONS of ceiling fans. The next time we go, we will definitely be sitting there! An excellent hang out space for drinks and snacks. Lunch for 2 was $50 plus tip. The restaurant is located on the backside of Lexington Green. There is an ice cream place next-door for dessert but their pricing is crazy high. We enjoyed our orders but definitely not a good value.

Great vibes and beautiful view. Went on a Friday night and wasn't to packed, we sat outside near the fountain. Perfect restaurant for small groups. We ordered a bunch of stuff including the Caribbean chicken salad, the palmers burger, palmers mini burgers, champagne chicken, and truffle sidewinder fries that were one of my favorite things. The fries were so crispy and fragrant with truffle oil plus the addition of Parmesan on top makes us 10x better. We also asked for the house bread that came with olive oil and pesto! Some down sides were the Caribbean chicken was missing a few things that were described on the menu. The champagne chicken was lacking flavor. But everything else was really good! They also brought out a brownie for one of my best friends birthday. As it was Burger Week, I went with their Signature Burger for $7 with a side of tots. The burger was a Spicy Pimento Burger with bacon jam, pickles, and lettuce. The burger was 4oz which was a great size to fill you up but not make you overly full. The burger was not overly seasoned and didn't have a ton of flavor, however the combination of toppings really enhanced the flavor and made it delicious. The tots were perfectly crisp and the Cajun seasoning really enhanced them nicely. All 4 of the beers in the flight were tasty but not overly powerful. Of the 4, the Tart and Tempered was the best as a light sour. I would recommend a visit and look forward to trying some other menu items.

Our burgers were juicy and made of quality I ingredients; the spicy chicken was SPICY and was enjoyed more that my teens go-to CFA sandwich. The sides didn't hit for us - but we are not really potato people and the Mac and cheese was weirdly seasoned for me - it had a powdery onion powder taste that I just didn't enjoy. I plan to try a salad on my next visit! Great spot for a fun family dinner or meet up for your teens. Very clean and again - the staff was wonderful!

This visit marked our third time at OBC Kitchen, and once again, it did not disappoint. This time we experimented with timing and booked an early reservation at 2:45 pm on a Saturday. Every dish and cocktail option was explained thoughtfully, which I appreciate, especially because I enjoy cocktails that come with a bit of theater. When drinks are presented with care, described well, and executed beautifully, the experience becomes part performance, part craft. Here, they delivered perfectly. The food, as always, was superb. We shared several chef selections including Beef Tallow Fries, Southern Grouper, Bacon in a Glass, and the Cola-Braised Short Ribs. Each dish was rich, flavorful, and confidently executed. Dessert continued the celebration with the Churro Cheesecake, and to our delight we were also gifted the Warm Buttermilk Donuts, which felt like a small act of culinary generosity. In a departure from my usual Manhattan and Old Fashioned flights, I tried a Bloody Mary and The Cure, both excellent and beautifully balanced.
