Nick really came through for us. We had a few estimates on upgrading our Main Panel, also installing a EV charger. He took care of the city permits and got the job done within a few days. The job was a bit challenging since the charger was going into a detached garage. So underground piping of about 40 feet was necessary to route the 240 ac line. We are very impressed with the clean job and the amount of knowledge he has, not mentioning 15 or so years of experience. I stumbled upon New Quest Electric because I needed an electrician and to investigate an issue on my patio that had me stumped. What got my attention was the initial call where I told Nick the problem and rather than being quick to have me pay anything he suggested some temporary troubleshooting tips that are typical with outdoor appliances. When that didn't fix it he said when do you want us out, I gave him a day, called back that day, he confirmed and within an hour, I had Nick at my doorstep ready to get to work. He did his thing followed the path found the issue fix it and offered some of the other services they provided like canned kitchen lights, installing ev chargers and even gave quotes that were reasonable. I contacted New Quest Electric to install a transformer that could power my new smart doorbell. I provided them with the specs for the doorbell, Aqara G4, (12V-24V AC, 0.2A / 8V-24V DC, 0.5A), and they responded quickly and got me scheduled without any issues. The technician showed up on time and finished the job fast. He wasn't the friendliest, but he did the work efficiently. At first, everything seemed fine. But after doing some research on my own, I realized a few things that made me question the overall service: 1. The replacement may not have been necessary. My original transformer was 12V AC at 0.5A, which I later found out falls within the supported range for the doorbell. A more transparent electrician could have told me that upfront and saved me some money. That would have gone a long way in building trust with a new customer. 2. The pricing felt unreasonable. I was charged $285 for what looks like a $30 transformer (likely a 16V, 30W model). Even when you factor in labor, the cost seemed way too high for such a quick job. I'm not an expert in electrical work, but I do expect honesty and fair pricing. This was a reminder for me to always get a second opinion or quote before moving forward with any job. A second electrician told me that the cost was almost an extortion. I paid the $201 and found an other electrician who will do the same work for $250 plus parts which happens to be $65 at Home Depot. read more

New Quest always does great work they worked on our home twice in the last few years did really clean work installed ceiling fans in our 3 rooms also a attic fan, then a year later when we remodeled some more they installed recessed lighting throughout our home and worked with us how we wanted it also gave us a great deal. I previously had a 10-50P receptacle in my garage from previous owner. I use an adapter/converter to a 14-50 for my Tesla. Well, after 4+ years of usage, it finally burned.
