So I half-explained that it wouldn't be much but some refresh in color and a cut. Mind you, I scheduled for a full color and haircut. The woman on the phone said I'd need to come back for color if it needs to be lightened bc we won't have time but said she could do the haircut. I thought huh??? It made zero sense. I had been waiting weeks for this appointment and before I got there or before they even knew what it was I wanted, they were telling me they'd have to do another appt. for color. I was already unhappy at that point. When I got there, Anyssa had a friend or family member in her chair doing her hair so I'm assuming that's why I no longer needed to come early. While getting my hair washed, my stylist was talking about bar hopping tonight with the other girls who were leaving to go get ready and talking about what to wear. Anyssa was also talking about needing to get her nails done still. It seemed my appointment was getting cut short all so she could get ready for a night out at the bars. I had a 12:30 appt. on a Saturday! Like wtf is happening?! As if it couldn't get more unprofessional, Anyssa had her other coworker wash her hair next to me in a bowl while my toner is sitting. The alarm for my toner went off while she was still being conditioned. I have never experienced anything like this. Once I got back to the chair, Anyssa was telling her coworker to set up for her blow out after I leave. Like what?! She cut my hair while she had a towel on her head. You guys, it was the WEIRDEST experience! The friend eventually came back and sat down to wait for her to be done with me. It was clear they couldn't wait to shut that place down and turn it into a pregame/get ready turn-up or get the hell outta there. Anyssa tried to say what she'll do with my color at my next appt. I wanted a balayage and showed the stylist the picture of the girls curly back hair And told her I wanted it like that picture. I also wanted to keep the roots dark. As you can see from the pictures it's nowhere near what I wanted and the stylist afterwards didn't even ask if I wanted it toned! The salon closed again cause of COVID so I had to redo it myself afterwards cause I was so embarrass of what it looked like. I didn't notice until I got home and closely looked in the mirror.

I showed various pictures( front, side, and back) to give Briana a good idea of what I wanted to achieve. My 17 year old daughter's only comment (who recently got her hair cut from another local stylist in Livermore, got a beautiful cut and style) is that it's just bad and walked away. I have had plenty of horrible experiences and haircuts before so it's safe to assume I was anxious about trying this new salon. Once again, lesson learned, go to your trusted salon and stylist. DO NOT RELY ON RATINGS ALONE. I've already made an appointment with my trusted hair stylist in Fremont to fix my hair. I'm willing to drive further out to see her after this sad experience! In response to Varina's review: You had a different experience than I did and it's great that you love your results. But, you had a different hairstylist. And as the owner of the salon, I expected Briana to deliver and she fell short of that. I couldn't wear my hair straight because the cut was uneven; I had no choice but to curl it to hide the imperfections. You cannot deny that my hair looks nothing like the pictures I showed Briana. Would I be willing to risk sitting there again to have her "fix" it when she couldn't deliver the haircut I wanted in the first place? So, while I appreciate your feedback, the pictures speak for themselves. I did call the salon and also left a voicemail on Brianna's cell phone explaining my issue and disappointment, so she was aware of it before I wrote this review.
