I came to Carnegie because I came across pictures of Allison's work on Yelp. She did not disappoint. Not only is she easy to talk to, she also listened to what I was looking for with my hair and gave me her feedback. I have thick hair that was long and permed when I came in. The look she achieved turned out to be exactly what I wanted. I appreciate the work she does and that I was able to walk away feeling so happy about my hair which made me feel great about myself. I called EVERYWHERE in Pleasanton and Livermore to try and get my hair fixed. Nobody could get me in or even really cared. Once I called Carnegie Park Salon, I was able to get ahold of Jamie promptly. Jamie was empathetic and kind. She directed me to her stylist Allison immediately. Allison and I texted about my hair and she created a clear plan right away. When I got to the salon, Allison greeted me as thought I was a regular client! I felt so welcomed, cared for and had such fun conversation! Allison was detailed and precise in the reconstruction of my hair color, gentle with application, patient with the processions time and so mindful of the styling at the end! We were in Livermore to attend a wedding, and my hair was just looking ROUGH. I called around to a few places, not expecting to be able to get a same-day appointment at a decent place in a strange town...but luckily for me, someone else's last minute cancellation meant that Jamie was able to fit me in for a cut and color. Hooray! First, it is a very stylish, beautiful salon. I was offered coffee, water, blueberry cake (WHAAAT?) and made to feel welcome as soon as I walked through the door. Jamie took her time evaluating my current hairstyle and talking with me about what I wanted, and her recommendations were GREAT. She gave me a gorgeous cut, a color that I love, and very helpful tips for styling my hair at home. I got tons of compliments on my new hairstyle at the wedding. Scheduled a haircut with the owner, Jamie. Her salon is so cute and feels so inviting. We discussed what haircut I wanted and she helped me achieve that. She discussed what she was going to do during the process to make sure I liked the finished look. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a great hair service in the area. She even said she loves cutting hair. I live in the peninsula and was in Livermore for a few days, but if I lived in the area I would definitely be a regular of hers! Decided to update my review since it's been 1 year! Still 100% satisfied and loving my hair every time I come to see Liz Fleming! She seriously takes her time and always does a fabulous job. I've been getting my hair dyed black along with getting trims every 2-3 months with Liz for some time now. Today we decided to do more of a V-shape and I love it. My daughter and I were at the Carnegie Park salon last week to get haircuts, and we were very pleased with the service! Jami, the owner, was very friendly, listened for what we were looking for, and gave us different options. On top of that, she was great at working on my hair, which is thick, wavy and a little frizzy. On top of that, it was in a bad shape since I had not had any hair cut for almost two years due to the pandemic. Now people are telling me that I look younger, and I feel that my hair is more manageable and nicer looking. My daughter also has a great new look to start high school as a freshman in August. read more

This review is for Allison. This is my first time at this salon, and I have to admit I came in with doubts. A few weeks ago I got a horrible haircut which I was pretty devastated about. I honestly didn't think it could be fixed, but I decided I'd try anyway. I got on yelp found this place decided I'd give it a chance. From the start Allison listened to what I wanted and knew exactly what to do to fix my hair. She showed and explained to me exactly what happened with my last haircut. My hair felt so stiff and strange, a way it never felt before because the person who cut it prior to her cut it with a razor. I have very thick hair it did not work well at all. When she got done with my hair it was soft again, it was flowing again. I can't say it's 100% back to what it was, but by my next cut it will be. So thank you thank you! read more

I've had my hair done here for over a year now. I walked in with virgin hair the first time in & was terribly afraid of an all-over colour. But, Erica King was a complete doll about putting me at ease. As I have a few silver hairs that I've noticed more and more, I'd become a little self-conscious since I'm not old, but was feeling so because of it. I bravely had 2 colours put in. I chose the 2 colours (plum & caramel) & though they might not sound desirable together, she made it look like wonderfully sun-kissed hair. I have been so happy with her hair cut & colour - not to mention the all amazing head massage in the sink - that I haven't gone to any one else since.
