This was a new brewery for me so I decided to stop in since I was in the area. I love to get flights as it allows me to try many different beers. I tried five different ones to include an IPA, a Scotch Ale and stout. I enjoyed all the beers I tried but decided to buy some Con Seanery Scotch Ale. They have a small selection of beers to buy. They had a food truck which was also delicious! It's a smaller brewery but has a larger outdoor area. The bartender was working solo. The wait wasn't very long and being colder outside I understood not having more working the bar. She was super kind and helpful. They do have some THC drinks at this location so be careful what you order. read more

Wandered here after a date at the waterworks museum, friendly crowd, friendly service lots of communal and outdoor tables. Table neighbors were very friendly and had a great cheer wine. Margarita my dad had the chair wine draft ale. I like how laid-back it was and not stuffy like some of these.. there were two food trucks out. I got some gyoza dumplings. We were very good. I also like tall dog friendly. It was might come back next time with my pup. read more

They always have great beer, and it's awesome that they distribute locally so you can enjoy it even when you're not at the brewery. Drove up to Salisbury to explore and taste beer. It is worth the drive to explore this place. Scale: 1-5 Beer: 5 - I had 2 flights. Very good selection of beer. I enjoyed so many of them and the ABV was high compared to other breweries. Old Stone House IPA 7.8% was my favorite. Atmosphere: 5 -cozy Service: 5 - bartender was cool and service was quick. Honestly this is one of the worst breweries in the Charlotte metro area. First, the biker scene in Salisbury is just obnoxious at this point. Everybody thinks 2 wheels makes them Gods and they can act anyway they please in public. That was the biggest problem here. Obnoxious crowd, warm beer, and the smell of weed floating thick in the air. I think there was some kind of event taking place like a bike night but still you have to have some class in public. The staff on this night was very rude or maybe just fed up with the obnoxious crowd. Just a bad overall experience and no this wasn't our first time here. We always give places at least 3 tries and we gave this place 4 and 3 of the 4 times were our bad experiences with pretty much the same complaints. read more

I was here for a beer, then I left for dinner, and then I came back. It's not that there weren't other options for beer in Salisbury it's that this place was the awesomeist. I was able to sit at a high top in the back with my laptop and ended up enjoying a can of the Yaddy Light Lager while writing out some Yelp reviews and watching some sports and watching some people. Located in downtown Salisbury, this was a cute place to check out while we're were in town. They have beets on tap as well as canned. The inside is a little small, but tons of seating outside. Bartenders are helpful and knowledgeable, helping you choose what you want. I tried Long Gone Days and husband had the Netflix and dill. I know I thought the same thing, pickle beer?? But again I tri3e a sip and it was good! I don't know how they did, but they pulled it off! Definitely a brewery we would go back to when in the area. No water service. I've never been to a brewery and/or bar in my life that didn't offer free drinking water or have a water station. When we asked for water we were told the only option was to pay for bottled water and they did not provide "free" water. After paying $20 for 2 drinks, it's fair to say we'll never go back nor recommend. read more

Good selection of beer. There is ample parking available either in the lot or on the street. Inside & outside seating & dog friendly. The afternoon we were there they had a food truck on site - they do not have food available in the brewery. The beers were a good mix of draft & can options, and a nice mix of styles. For non-beer folks there was soda, a few ciders, & some wines available. If you like a Berliner Weisse & they have the Double Berry Milkshake available I would highly recommend it. The staff is very friendly & you can taste the draft beers before committing to something. read more

The berry smalls, milkshake IPA and cranberry orange were my favorites of the flight, but the old stone house IPA is fantastic as well if you're looking for something more traditional. We were in town for a wedding nearby. With a night to spare we decided to check out the Salisbury nightlife. Stopping here after an initial visit to another nearby brewery before they closed, we wanted to grab a couple more beers before calling it a night. They had live music this evening and their definitely wasn't much social distancing going on... as we are from an area that was big on that - we slipped safely past those folks to check out what the inside looked like. Wow, went back two months later cause it was great before. walked up asked for a beer and they said they had, had a complaint about me and ask me to leave ? No reason was given, bar tender was at least polite But I haven't been there in two months so why would anyone complain about me? I was shocked looked around didn't see any x girlfriends there lol, or anyone I knew ‍ so man what an unexpected bad business decision, I left taking the three people I had coming along with me to have a beer elsewhere. On a brewery outing I made my first visit to New Sarum Brewing in Salisbury, NC. My wife, kid and I entered right as the brewery opened on a Friday - besides one woman speaking the bartender, we were the only ones there. The tap room is moderately sized, especially considering the large brewing and warehouse area seen from the window in the tap room. It was a very well organized, neat, and looked professional. I was disappointed to learn a few beers I wanted to sample were tapped out, but was easily able to fill a flight regardless. The bartender was extremely friendly, chatted with us to an almost absurd amount of time. The beers were good - having an affection for IPAs and Sours, I was extremely delighted with the Kettle Sour IPA. I loved it, and I was angry it wasn't available in cans to go, though we took a good amount of others home with us! Definitely worth the time to stop in! read more

This is an interesting little brewery out in Rowan County! Like most NC towns Salisbury has a cute downtown area and this is where you will find New Sarum. It had a nice set-up and good parking which is always good:) My three star review mostly comes from their beers. Unfortunately I have tried 6-8 of them and none of them have really impressed me. Even my wife who has very different beer taste than me has loved any of their beers. But if you do enjoy their selection you will enjoy visiting them! If you live or are visiting the area it looks like they have a good line up of regular events so check out their schedule on social media before heading over. I was glad to finally make it to this place, it has been bookmarked for awhile. I was happy with my experience at New Sarum! The bartenders are super nice and have a good conversation. The brewery itself wasn't very large, but had a bar and other seating options. There are also some outdoor picnic tables for a nice day. It was extremely hot the day I visited, so I stayed indoors. They have a cool menu and some good beer to try. The blood orange is very tasty. The bartenders gave us advice on other places to try in the area, which was very helpful. They have a fairly large parking lot, and it's not a real issue to get a spot. I went on a Sunday and it was pretty quiet at that time. I definitely had a good visit and will be venturing back when I'm in the area. I would love to try it out on a nice fall Saturday! Terrific environment! read more

If you find yourself passing through Salisbury, definitely pay a visit to New Sarum. With about five beers on tap (and canned) at any time, what they do, they do well. As an IPA lover - the Old Stone House IPA was a solid, drinkable beer - especially if you like dry hopped IPAs. What I had been dying to try was the Blood Orange Wheat. Lots going on here. First the fresh crisp wheaty/malty taste, a middle note of spice and then a sweet, cloudy wallop from the blood orange. Complex, tart and tasty. My favorite was unexpected - the Red Ale - had the color but tasted like a Rye or Nut Brown hybrid - a little biscuit and nutty - a really nice beer! The large industrial pipe taps are sweet and so is the bright red mad scientist drain system. Average sized tap room and outdoor seating as well. The Kabobs! Food truck is a fixture there for now. Very friendly employees who actually sit and talk with their patrons! read more

I love this brewery. It is a nice place to come an chill after work or on the weekend. They have outdoor picnic tables and a food truck which is owned by the brewery. I admit I know nothing about beer so I won't pretend that I do. I tried the flight which I liked all of them that I had. I also liked that you paid for each pour in the flight so I did not have to pay for pours in which I knew I wouldn't enjoy. Loved the Wheats. A friend told us to stop is as one of the founders was from our old neighborhood in Brooklyn. He has since left the place but we stayed for some beers while we were there anyway. Had the Blood orange wheat and then the cranberry orange which I just loved. By the time we left the place was packed. A bit off the main drag but well worth looking for. read more

Although they didn't have the featured IPA available on tap when I visited, I was able to get it in the can and wasn't disappointed, I'll have to return just to try the tap version!! They also had a 11th Hour IPA on tap which had its own story, and for a 3.5 ABV was incredibly tasty!! They offer outside seating and have live music at times as well, we like talking to the bartenders so we copped a squat and learned a lot about the establishment and their history, very personable and knowledgeable. Nice outdoor patio seating, and plenty of room inside with a large long table and bar seating. Warm welcoming feel. The brewing operation is visible from large glass windows. The place is always clean. The service is fast, friendly, and always willing to help. The beer is awesome, with seasonal releases, and even special limited batches available at times. Samples, flights, pints, and growlers all available. No food on site, but they have food trucks at times. If you find yourself hungry check my reviews for great food close by!! We just had the most disrespectful encounter at New Sarum. While they have a handicapped ramp the interior is not meant for anyone in a wheelchair and the bartender was very rude indicating if we don't like it leave. No problem we will never be back nor will anyone else that we know. read more
