    The brewery

New Sarum Brewing is one of our favorite spots in downtown Salisbury, and we've visited several times over the years. They always have great beer, and it's awesome that they distribute locally so you can enjoy it even when you're not at the brewery. Tonight they've got live music, and the whole place has such a relaxed, chill atmosphere that makes it easy to stay awhile. If you're in downtown Salisbury, North Carolina, I'd highly recommend stopping in and checking it out.

Drove up to Salisbury to explore and taste beer. It is worth the drive to explore this place. Scale: 1-5 Beer: 5 - I had 2 flights. Very good selection of beer. I enjoyed so many of them and the ABV was high compared to other breweries. Old Stone House IPA 7.8% was my favorite. Atmosphere: 5 -cozy Service: 5 - bartender was cool and service was quick. Food: truck but I didn't look at it Cultural/Political Agenda (1-5): 5 -No preachy nonsense--just beer.

I was here for a beer, then I left for dinner, and then I came back. It's not that there weren't other options for beer in Salisbury it's that this place was the awesomeist. I was able to sit at a high top in the back with my laptop and ended up enjoying a can of the Yaddy Light Lager while writing out some Yelp reviews and watching some sports and watching some people. There are also tables outside and they have power outlets but too warm today. Friendly folks, great inexpensive beer, a nice time in downtown. Located in downtown Salisbury, this was a cute place to check out while we're were in town. They have beets on tap as well as canned. The inside is a little small, but tons of seating outside. Bartenders are helpful and knowledgeable, helping you choose what you want. I tried Long Gone Days and husband had the Netflix and dill. I know I thought the same thing, pickle beer?? But again I tri3e a sip and it was good! I don't know how they did, but they pulled it off! Definitely a brewery we would go back to when in the area. They do not serve food, but there a tons of restaurants nearby to grab a bite.

Cozy and fun atmosphere. Beer is really good with a wide selection. Food trucks every day. Plenty of parking. Perfect for a group of friends to hang out.

Fantastic venue. Really loved the atmosphere and the great choices of beer. I had the Blood Orange Wheat Beer, one of the best I have had. I actually purchased in the local food lion a 6 pack. Highly recommend visiting this brewery.

Good selection of beer. There is ample parking available either in the lot or on the street. Inside & outside seating & dog friendly. The afternoon we were there they had a food truck on site - they do not have food available in the brewery. The beers were a good mix of draft & can options, and a nice mix of styles. For non-beer folks there was soda, a few ciders, & some wines available. If you like a Berliner Weisse & they have the Double Berry Milkshake available I would highly recommend it. The staff is very friendly & you can taste the draft beers before committing to something.

They have a good selection of beer and the environment is very laid back and nice. Will definitely come back. The Hate Love Potion sour was amazing.

New Sarum was awesome! If you are traveling past this brewery it is a must visit. It's a cute spot with a friendly bartender and tasty beer!

Awesome beer, and great variety! The berry smalls, milkshake IPA and cranberry orange were my favorites of the flight, but the old stone house IPA is fantastic as well if you're looking for something more traditional. The atmosphere is unique- it's incredible that they were able to transform a historic building into such a fun spot! Will be sure to stop by the next time I'm in town.

Awesome place for a beer. Live music and other events, indoor and outdoor seating. Pups welcome.

She was very personable and checked on us repeatedly. After she went off duty we got stuck with James who when I asked to bring us a craft of water for the table said " I could, but we have a water station down there" and he pointed to a far away bank of cups and water and then said "And I don't know why you guys aren't inside". And I said "since I'm a paying guest I would think you could bring us water ". He reluctantly brought us water then disappeared and didn't come back out. Here's my complaint: Where I choose to sit with my party is my choice James, I don't care if you're hot and sweaty, I'm the customer. Telling me to get my own water is unacceptable. Why you chose to only bring one refill of water to a table of 8 is on you. You might be too delicate for the job James.

The entrance is at the middle of the block, next to a centralized parking area. Just open the door by the Red Hill sign and go up that lengthy staircase. Once you reach the top of the steps the space just really opens up. The layout is great with lots of seating. It's big enough for indoor cornhole even! The beer: I tried two of theirs - The Murph IPA was a my favorite, followed by Pinky and the Brine, a watermelon Gose. I also had two of their guest beers from Railwalk Brewery - Patio Time, a Pina Colada Blonde and Hazed and Confused, a Hazy IPA clocking in at 8.5% ABV - they were decent but I far preferred Red Hill's own stuff. So why is there a picture of my bloody leg? Some dodo put a floor fan right in front of the bar where I tripped over it and cut my leg. No bueno. Only once I complained was it moved. I did shoot the owner an email - he responded right away, took it very seriously and promised to train his taproom staff how to better handle customer injuries. Cool place - solid beer - and hopefully no more fans on the floor to trip over - lol!
