Turns out making the right choices matter. Get the wings and sides, eat at the Beer Lab not the "garage" space (not sure what it's called). Overall, it was awesome! Def be back often! Brewery #440 We showed up here a little over an hour before they closed, and the place was empty except for a guy sweeping up and a guy you could see in the kitchen though a window. We waited a couple of minutes before I asked the guy sweeping up if they were open. He replied "Yeah. She is somewhere. Probably next door". Finally, a woman shows up outside smoking, and the sweeper goes outside and tells her we are in there and I heard her say, "they can wait until I am done with my cigarette". She finally comes in and takes our order with a shitty attitude. No flights so I got 2 beers a Belgian Triple and a Banshee IPA and a Mahala Pizza (Hawaiian with BBQ sauce base). The beers were really good, and the pizza was decent nothing I would get again. Shitty attitudes can really mess up a dining experience. Get better employees and offer flights and the whole experience would have been good. Funny story. Several people came in after we showed up and one guy asked for a Coors Light. She gave him whatever their lightest beer was. He was not a fan, so he asked me what I was drinking and I told him the Banshee IPA. He asked if I liked it and I said yes. So he ordered one. My husband and I have been regular customers of Ghostface on Broad Street in Mooresville -- at the bar, and more recently for kegs. Specifically, we have been purchasing 1/6 kegs -- most recently Banshee Ale -- every other month. That all changed -- and ended -- on June 30, 2026. That night, my husband tried to return the empty 1/6 keg and get back our deposit, as we would no longer be buying kegs of beer from Ghostface. (We had paid a $50 deposit on our first purchase and never had any problem redeeming it when swapping in a new keg.) This time, he wasn't buying a replacement; he was returning the empty keg for the deposit. The cashier called over a manager, who told my husband that she couldn't process the refund without a receipt. When he explained he'd never been asked for one before, and had made the initial deposit roughly six months ago, she asked how she could know the keg had even come from Ghostface. He pointed to the large Ghostface logo on the side of the keg. She then told him, "I can't just give you $50," and instead offered him a $50 gift card to Ghostface. My husband told her that a gift card to an establishment he would no longer patronize was of no use to him. Perhaps what struck us most was the manager's visible surprise when my husband picked the keg back up to take it home -- as if she expected him to leave it behind without his deposit, and without the keg. We have decided to use that keg to start brewing our own beer at home -- a place where we can be certain of good customer service. Ironically, a new 1/6 keg retails for more than the $50 she refused to return -- not to mention the business Ghostface has now lost from us, our friends, and anyone who reads this letter. I enjoyed a Belgian beer and I was really happy with their pizza. Even more impressive - if you see an ingredient on one of their pizzas that you want to substitute they basically do it at no charge!!! Had the Wildcat Special and when no peppers was requested, they offered to double the mushrooms. Amazing! Tonight 6/9/25, we ordered the Italian sub and a cheese pizza. The only imaginable excuse for this level of failure in Italian cuisine is that it was prepared by a Scandinavian man from Arkansas who believes marinara is the Sicilian term for ketchup. The sandwich was on the wonder bread equivalent of a roll with no more than a dollars worth of cheap cold cuts topped with chunks of onion and tomato quarters. I would have to assume they do not own a slicer or just had left over produce from a salad and said screw it. The pizza was the worst thing to happen to the Italian culture since Pope Alexander the VI impregnated his sister. The sauce had the distinct taste and texture of red Gatorade mixed with mayonnaise and the cheese tasted like a combination of Polly-O string cheese and sawdust. We also ordered my son chicken fingers and fries which must have been sitting under the flavor lamps for a while. The only highlight was the bartender who demonstrated an ability to not care at a level that rivals even Randal from Clerks. Mam, your apathy is truly inspirational. read more

We went there on our date night. My wife had the wings, she liked them Alot. We also order triangle mozzarella, they were also good. We got the wings and triangles within 10 minutes. I also ordered a chicken Parmesan calzone. After waiting 20 minutes after we got the wings and mozzarella triangles,I went to the counter to ask where my calzone was, the girl went to the kitchen to ask where it was, she told me it would be 3 more minutes. Well 10 minutes later they brought it out. The bottom was burnt, and the PLASTIC eating ware melted when I tried to cut it, it would not cut, so I asked for real silver ware, I was told they don't use that. Five o'clock on a Saturday and the people just keep coming in... which is probably a good sign for a new business venture by a familiar spooky face (GF is a local institution). nice wide open space next to the GF's BEER LAB with tables and roll-up doors out front if the weather ever cooperates. lot of tables and a few high tops for dining and conversing without the glaring and blaring of TVs on every vertical surface; perfect spot to enjoy football sundays and every basketball day. the bar is standard horseshoe design with a cashier/service bar at the head while the actual head is off to the left. came in after a mildly productive day looking for a sip and a nibble and am quite pleased with the results: calzone and a cider and wings and a cider. the ordering process is fairly straightforward: walk up to a register under the ORDER HERE sign and place your order, find a table, plant your flag and wait for the magic to happen... sausage and red onion calzone is properly folded and split and chock full of sweet white ricottal goodness and would be better served with a serrated metal knife but when that's my biggest hurdle today I can find a way to succeed. wings are meaty and big enough with realistic scoring on the heat: 5 is advertised as a bit past Buffalo style buffalo with the option of going one step further if necessary. --- PRO TIP: it's NEVER necessary!! --- oh, the blueberry crumble cider is actually red with hints of clove and cinnamon and is consistent from cup to cup. yea!! read more

Recently ate at Ghostface, found the food was delicious and the service was excellent. I had the Philly cheesesteak calzone and ,my wife enjoyed a meatball sub. I had a yummy peach IPA and she enjoyed a peach cider. Maybe the best part was grilled Brussels sprouts, they were wonderful. We will definitely go back. read more

Bring from IL, the pizza is not always great down here in NC, but I really enjoyed the Ghostface pizza (compared to other NC pizza I've had. Really enjoyed the experience! Mostly self service, though the bar staff is super helpful and does bring your food out to you. Great staff! Dogs allowed outside, they have a couple of different set ups outside, so it works, but not my favorite outdoor setup in the heat of summer. read more
