Large selection of draft beers, wine and mixed drinks . Weekly events. Can sit inside or outside. Friendly beer tender. They have food also in the back. Music is loud and today is rap.

We found the brew house looking for a different place. I am so glad we wound up here. It is a great space to hang out on a date or with kids and dogs, It was a busy Saturday with a craft market. We had a few cocktails neat the brewery room. The cocktails were great and I enjoyed hanging out. There is a place to get food. It looked really good so next time we plan to try it. They also offer coffee which was neat. The staff was nice.

Large parking lot and tons of seating options. Love the drinks options and whoever makes the cookies... DELICIOUS! Love that this is a super family friendly place and that PoFo is listed inside for daily food options and then they also have food trucks out there most of the time.

A lot of beverage options. We had the L Cubed, On tap margarita and chaos coordinator; all very tasty. Friendly service and nice outdoor area.

We were on our way home and decided to drive through Lexington in order to stop in at Goose and The Monkey Brew House. We didn't know much about it other than I've enjoyed their canned beer in the past. We are fans of checking out local breweries when we get the opportunity and appreciate when they offer food options as well. We also love vintage industrial buildings and upon arriving we knew we would be in for a treat based on the exterior of the building. It is located along the railroad tracks and we can assume it was a commercial/industrial business of some sort back when railcars were more prevalent. The exterior area looked fun and inviting, there were several tables on a patio area along with cornhole. Also, the front of the building offered several smaller tables which allowed visitors to sit outside and enjoy the cool fall weather. The interior was busy with customers and they were celebrating the new Beetlejuice movie with themed drinks, decorations and specials. We immediately noticed the wall of swag and quickly stopped in to look at the offerings. They did have sweatshirts, t-shirts, hats, stickers and glasses. Perhaps they were low on inventory but we didn't see the Hazy IPA shirt offered at all even though it was displayed above. We struggled a bit to figure out how the food worked until we stumbled on Pour Folk Provisions located within a different area of the brewery. We placed an order for food, found a table outside and I went to check out the beer options. We walked up to the counter area and I decided to try a beer flight. Again, the choices were a bit limited for my go to beer choices. The Hazy IPA was not offered on draft, therefore, I ended up selecting some flavors such as Morning Wood which ended up being way to coffee like for my taste. Overall, it was a good experience which we would recommend to others. There are food options available, see the separate review for Pour Folk Provisions.

This was a very pleasant afternoon, enjoying a couple of beers from Goose and The Monkey. It's a family sort of place with a lot of kids running about. They have a separate food place inside, which I assume is how they avoid dealing with the issues of food licensing as well as beer plus it means they can allow dogs inside since "they don't sell food." I enjoyed the L3 lager and then the Cosmic Peach at a table way in the back with a great view of the goings on. And the pizza was fabulous but that's a separate review. On a warm sunny day, all the doors were open and it was super pleasant to be here. [Review 1789 of 2024 - 3708 in North Carolina - 22812 overall]

After an early evening event in Lexington, we were looking for a place to gather with some friends and Goose and The Monkey had some great reviews on Yelp, and we always enjoy checking out different breweries. It was a bit tucked back off the beaten path, but easy to get to with GPS. Clustered in with what seem to be old closed factories. It's great to see them renovating, and rejuvenating these old buildings to have a new purpose. The space was unique, very open and fun. The bartender was super friendly and happy to help us. I enjoyed a delicious IPA, Wandering Pig. They offer indoor and outdoor seating, plenty of space to gather with friends. I'm sure we'll be back to try some of their other beers, and great atmosphere!!

We had the most pleasant time here! I'm not sure how we missed that it is an inside brewery, but that was a pleasant surprise to escape the heat. (It's also really big) We tried a few brews, and even a margarita on tap. (I think the one I tried was L3) everything was great! They also offer food (not sure if I should find them separately on Yelp) and it was DELICIOUS. A lot of variety, and didn't take too terribly long to get. We loved our pizza, chips and quest and pretzel with beer cheese! I will say, the fellows at the food area were kinder than the bartenders, but it was a hot 4th of July. So maybe they were just ready to go on home? Overall, great place! Excited to go back!

This brewery has a good selection of delicious brews and some cocktails, friendly staff, and a cozy atmosphere, it's the perfect spot to unwind with friends. What did I have? - Pour Folk Pilsner, 5.2% ABV - Breakfast Byrd, Coffee Porter 7% ABV

Fun spot! Neat vibe, good beer and food in an attached pizza kitchen. The bar was having an early costume night for Halloween, so there was also the fun of watching people go by in various costumes. The bartender was friendly and also dressed up. The pizza was good and only took about 20 mins. Perfect time to have a drink!

Love the setup here! It's right in front of the train track so if your children love trains, they'll have fun there. (If my son was still little, he definitely would!) The restaurant is covered with glass windows on one side so you can still see trains going by from inside and you get plenty of natural lighting from the sun which makes the space look bright and open. There are 2 different counters. One for ordering drinks and the one in the back for ordering food. One half of the space was reserved for a party when we went so we sat at the bar. Having hooks for hanging my purse is always appreciated. I ordered the Blueberry Moscato and it was so good! I wish I could have more. (we went to Bull City Ciderworks before eating so I already had enough of alcohol...) Then I ordered the Jamaican Jerk Bowl and my husband ordered the No Money No Honey pizza. The pizza was very good. My bowl had good flavor but I have one complaint. Everything in the bowl was cold. I guess it's pre-made and packaged? I wish the rice was warm and the chicken was freshly cooked. Because the rice was cold, there were a lot of chunks. I only took a couple of bites and took it back home so I could heat it. But other than that, we enjoyed the visit.

My wife and I channeled Bilbo Baggins and went on an adventure today. We've read about his place and took our Saturday afternoon to visit. Tucked inside Lexington's historic district, this place is a little hard to find without your GPS. Have it on. When you enter you notice how open it is. The floor plan is chock full of community tables and a long bar to order their craft beer, ciders, wines or mixed drinks. The outside wall is virtually all glass which lets in tons of natural light. Outside seating is also available. My wife and I bellied up to the bar. She ordered a ginger revenge. A hard ginger beer with agave and lime. Delicious. There is a separate section where you can order some finger food appetizers but the real star here are their pizzas. Some very unique and great sounding pie toppings. Check it out when you come here. It was our first time so we stuck with the traditional pepperoni pizza. We took a pager and they buzzed us when it was ready. The pie looked good and tasted good with a notable taste of garlic. It was the dominating flavor. The toppings were good and the crust was baked to perfection for wood fired pizza. The pizza was good, not great. No wow factor but I would probably more adventurous next time and get one of their specialty pizzas. We also had a side of beer cheese to dip our crusts in. Very tasty. I recommend it if you get a pizza. You won't regret it. Before we left, my wife ordered a peach ale. It was good with a strong taste of peach hitting the back of your tongue. There is no table service. You seat yourself, order your own drinks and food. There is plenty of seating and a note: THIS PLACE IS DOG FRIENDLY. There were several pooches in the building while we were there. Also, rules are posted for kids behavior and adults as well. If your kid doesn't listen, get a babysitter. All in all we really enjoyed ourself here. We will definitely be back and next time we will bring friends. This is a fun place to relax and kick back while snarfing down some good grub. $6.00-$9.00 for an alcoholic drink and pizzas run about $15 depending what you order.

Nice little brewery, my daughter her boyfriend and I stumbled across in Lexington. We all ordered a small pizza so we could try more of a variety. Unanimously we decided the Capri was the best ( mine ) but all were good. The pretzel, beer cheese and mustard were delicious as well. You can bring your dog with you, if you do that sort of thing. Very animal friendly. As far as service, there isn't any. It's order your drinks at the bar,or should I say beers. If you want food, you have to go into a tiny room with the food menu board and order there. Dogs aren't allowed in there. A little pricey, 13.50 for a small pizza. It was over 60.00 just for our food, not sure on the bar tab, my daughter and her boyfriend picked that up, but beers were 6 to 8 dollars each I believe. All in all good food and good drinks. I would go back.

Really loud music which led to shouting in order to be heard. Talking to friends over drinks or food would be impossible.
