Poor Communication, Unprofessional Behavior, and Unnecessary Panic…read more It took me over a year to get an appointment at this shop, as it seems to be the only local option for older sport bike repairs. The owner, Roland, is rough around the edges and lacks basic customer service skills -- but I initially gave him the benefit of the doubt, assuming he was simply busy. I had my Kawasaki ZX9 towed in for front brake and caliper repairs. I specifically asked for a quote before any work began, but instead of calling me, I had to chase him for the numbers each time. The total ended up being $1,300, which I paid in person since I couldn't pick up the bike myself due to knee surgery. I arranged for a tow company to retrieve it, gave Roland their details, and provided the pickup time. After the tow company left with my bike, Roland called to say they had used a wrecker and "didn't know what they were doing," making it sound like my bike was likely damaged. This caused me unnecessary panic -- especially since he never called me before the bike was moved. When I asked why he didn't call earlier if he was so concerned, he got angry and hung up on me. When the bike arrived, it was in perfect condition. His alarming phone call was completely unwarranted, and the stress he caused was unnecessary. While I can't yet speak to the quality of his repair work, I can say that his attitude, lack of professionalism, and poor communication were enough for me to decide I won't return. In the future, I'll tow my bike to Orlando or Tampa, where I've received skilled service and respectful treatment.

I was quickly greeted by a nice fellow named Brannon. He gave me a tour and showed me a few of the bikes I was interested in. He did a great job explaining every detail for each bike I've gotta say. I told him next time I'm in town I'll stop by and at least pick up some gear like riding gloves or a t-shirt. The only reason I'm giving them 4 stars instead of 5 is because they come at you a little too hard with the sales pitch. Not the guy Brannon, but I'm guessing it was the manager i talked with, going all out to sell me a bike. I don't mind salesman or anything but this guy was relentless, even after I made it clear I was only checking bikes out. I couldn't buy a bike if I wanted to because I'd have to get it back to Maryland, where I live. Aside from that, it's a great place. Definitely stop in.

I am writing this review on behalf of my boyfriend who purchased a brand-new Honda CBR650R from…read moreRideNow, because I have personally watched what was supposed to be his dream motorcycle purchase turn into an absolute nightmare. From the very beginning, the experience was frustrating. On what was supposed to be the day of purchase, his salesman had the wrong VIN on his paperwork, and RideNow ended up selling the motorcycle he was supposed to receive that day to someone else. He literally left the dealership without the bike he came there to purchase when he was told all week that July 10th was the day he was supposed to take his bike home. Since it was the last one available in the region, they had to order another brand-new bike for him. That bike (his bike) was built the next day and arrived with 0 miles. He LOVED his bike. He did everything right. He followed the required maintenance schedule, completed the inspections and oil changes, and took care of the motorcycle exactly as he was supposed to. Yet, with less than 2,000 miles and less than two months of ownership, the motorcycle developed a major engine problem. He also spent at least another **$1,500 on accessories through RideNow** before this incident. He could have easily ordered gloves, gear, and other accessories online or purchased them somewhere else, but he specifically wanted to keep his business with the dealership where he purchased his motorcycle. He wanted to support the business he chose to purchase his dream bike from. He was a good customer who continued putting his money back into the same business, not because that meant he should receive any special treatment, but because he genuinely wanted to continue doing business with them. He was initially told it was a blown head gasket. Now the entire top end has been torn apart and rebuilt, and we are still being told they are "waiting on Honda." That phrase has basically become the answer to everything. What is most frustrating is that we aren't asking for anything unreasonable. We want to know what actually happened, what caused the failure, what Honda has determined, what is being done to make sure it doesn't happen again, and when he can realistically expect his motorcycle back. Instead, getting clear answers and straightforward communication has been incredibly difficult. The communication with the technician, Kevin, has been especially disappointing. My boyfriend has personally called and received no answer, only to have the technician answer immediately when I called from a different number. Whether that was intentional or not, it made him feel completely ignored and overlooked. He spent thousands of dollars on a brand-new motorcycle because he wanted the reliability and peace of mind that should come with buying new. Instead, he has been making payments on a motorcycle sitting at the dealership that he hasn't been able to enjoy for over a month. This was supposed to be one of the happiest purchases of his life. Watching him go from being excited about his dream bike to being stressed, frustrated, and genuinely depressed over this situation has been heartbreaking. The motorcycle having a major mechanical failure is already bad enough. What has made this experience so much worse is how RideNow has handled everything afterward. Customers shouldn't have to repeatedly chase people down for information about a vehicle they spent thousands of dollars on. If you're considering buying from this dealership, I strongly recommend thinking twice and paying close attention to how they handle problems AFTER they have your money. Our experience has been that once something goes wrong, getting clear answers, accountability, and communication becomes extremely difficult. After everything that has happened, ** we will never spend another penny at RideNow.** Unfortunately, this experience has completely destroyed our trust. We are sharing this review because we genuinely want to warn other customers before they make the same mistake. A dream purchase should not turn into this.

I called Solano cycles in St. Augustine, being the closest, but the sales person wasn't very nice and almost refused to send a quote. I then called Solano in Gainesville and spoke with Danial who was very nice and knowledgeable. He sent a quote which was considerably lower than later quotes I received from other dealers. We corresponded via email while I was deciding. The next week I called to hopefully start process to purchase online. I spoke with Christine, who was also nice as Daniel was supposedly busy in assembly. She spoke about delivery cost which was much lower than Daniel's email quote. Anyway, she stated she would have Danial return my call. Later that same day, not hearing from them, I called back getting Christine again and again told that Daniel was busy, but would send correct delivery quote via email and leave message for Daniel. Well, that was last week and no email,,,, no phone call,,,,. Was the low quote a marketing ploy? Do they not want to make a sale? Well, who knows. I can't recommend Any Solano cycle dealers. Other issues include the lack of safety. Without too much detail, they don't know what they are doing and will replace parts that will break causing your engine to explode and crack.

One won't work on it because they only service one brand of bike... that is reasonable... they don't have any expertise on other brands, don't have the parts lines, etc. The other just won't take in bikes that are more than ten years old, despite having no problems taking them in on trade and then selling them to customers, who then cannot get them worked on by same-said dealer because of the ten year rule. However, Vespa Gainesville has none of these problems. They were able to take in my wheel and change out the tire on it (it really needed changing) without any problems, and the price was even reasonable. They even went the extra mile for balancing it when they found that they didn't have the right attachment for their wheel balancer, and instead took it down to their other shop to have it balanced properly. The shop doesn't just have Vespas in stock, either... they are also a Moto Guzzi and Aprilia dealership, and some of the Moto Guzzi's are starting to look really nice.
