Went here to get a tire changed on my motorcycle. Little did I know how long it was going to take them. I arrived there just a half hour after opening, with a simple front tire change to be done. They had the replacement tire ready to go, so everything was lined up. How long did it take? Seven hours. SEVEN. Yes, there were some other people in front of me for tire changes. Went to the RideNow Gainsville store looking for a pre owned Honda Ruckus, priced at $1500 on the website. I called earlier and spoke twice to a sales rep, asking if that was the final price, and if they still had it in stock. Decided to drive 4 hours to get there. The sales person was very kind but he insisted in getting all the paperwork and payments done before showing me if the bike was running and letting me test-drive on the parking lot (due to insurance policy) . He told me about some extra fees that the manager was going to quote ( battery exchange plan, and GPS) I stated I didn't need those extras. Finally the manager came in with a proposal that in my opinion is a scam, a Motorcycle with a price tag of $1500 , they wanted to charge over $4400 with tax included. I was wondering why was I the only costumer in the store, now I get it , specially after reading other reviews from costumers with the same awful experience. I scheduled a long (12000 mile) service for my motorcycle and confirmed with them the day before that they would be able to complete the service while I waited and that I would not have to leave the bike. After driving more than 30 minutes and arriving early for the appointment, I was told that their mechanics were all booked and that I would need to leave the bike overnight and return to picked it up at a later date. Since I had no ride to get home I left. I'll try to find another place to service my motorcycle from now on. I am considering buying a $30K Honda Goldwing in the near future. I was quickly greeted by a nice fellow named Brannon. He gave me a tour and showed me a few of the bikes I was interested in. He did a great job explaining every detail for each bike I've gotta say. I told him next time I'm in town I'll stop by and at least pick up some gear like riding gloves or a t-shirt. The only reason I'm giving them 4 stars instead of 5 is because they come at you a little too hard with the sales pitch. Not the guy Brannon, but I'm guessing it was the manager i talked with, going all out to sell me a bike. Went in for new tires, free tires installation they say. Tires marked up at least 90$ over my usual source Online. was told they do bulk of tire installation on Saturday and to arrive at least 30min early or it could take 2-3hrs. Arrived 40min before store opened (8:20am) and was first one in to get my tires done. I saw at least 4-5ppl come in after me leave before me. Odd. Out of the three times my bike was ready, not once did the service personnel tell me it was ready despite me sitting about 50yds away directly in front of them and one guy constantly looking at me whilst doing little to nothing it seemed. I asked one guy with glasses how much longer it might be, about 2hrs in, and he walked into the shop and immediately walked back out saying "not much longer". It was to be another hour before my bike was out. Initial inspection showed misaligned tensioners and a dangerously loose chain. Informed the surly guy with glasses and he says "ok yea?" Then just stood there. Not any sort of offer to help, so I insisted. Bike comes back out, tires balanced for first time ever, and again no one lets me know despite sitting 30ft from my bike this time. I went to take off and zoomed up to 70 to check the balance and my front tire is visibly jumping up and down. Back to the shop. I tell them to remove the balance weights needing me. The tech comes out and is obviously bothered that he's being called out and starts pointing out anything else he noticed wrong on the bike while simultaneously trying to ridicule my maintenance. Unprofessional and unnecessary, especially considering he's the professional working in a bike shop and couldn't even get a chain right or clearly marked tensioners correctly aligned. I, on the other hand am an amateur who refuses to take my bike to a shop... for good reason. All said and done it was about 3 1/2-4hrs to get my bike back on the road and the bill showed it took him 1.8hrs to complete the job with all the possible tools to get it done much faster. Makes me question who the amateur here is considering I do it faster at home with only 2 2ft bars. Awful experience. Never going back and will relay my experience to any biker\boater\off-road enthusiast I meet in the area. Only guy not being ridiculous during my visit was the bearded service fella that was actually working, glasses guy just stood there all morning launching snarky comments at me. read more

Second, I went in to cancel the extended warranty for a unit I bought the week before, 2 weeks later and the warranty company said they have not received any cancellation forms. Lies and misinformation! I bought a used Ducati from them. During the sale I was told there would be a walk around and I would have my questions answered, but that never happened. They gave me a trickle charger and a lifetime battery warranty. I was trying to figure out how to use the charger from the owner's manual. When I went down there twice they passed me around like a hot potato but got no answers. In fact got lies and misinformation. "Don't mess with that it is the diagnostic port!" I said, "That is not what the manual says." "Just take off the battery cover and use the post connector to hook up the charger." WTF! Talk about causing damage to the bike. Found out from my new shop that an adapter hooks to the diagnostic port and they are going to give me one. Ducati has a recall for a brake line so I called to set up an appointment and was told to come by on Saturday. Rode up on Saturday expecting a two hour install (actually takes two days). Service writer asked who told me to come in. Only two people do that job so, yeah. We got the part ordered which could have been done over the phone and I was told to come back when they called me. Three weeks later still no call. I get it, parts coming from Italy. I was having another issue with the bike. When it gets wet the neutral light won't come on and it won't idle if the clutch isn't pulled in. This happened when I washed the bike to take it in for the brake line on Saturday. I decided to load the bike on the trailer and take it down there so they could have time to diagnose the wet issue and order parts while I am waiting on the recall part. I told the service writer why I was there and he told me, " I would not want to get your bike wet to cause damage." Meanwhile, behind him there's a sign that reads if you bring your bike in dirty we will wash it and charge you, so I brought that up to him. He said, "Oh with a Ducati that's going to be a different kind of wash." I said, "So wait a minute, you're not going to get it wet?" He had to say," Well yeah." I said, "So motorcycles are allowed to get wet?" No answer. "Then what are we going to do to find out what's going on here?" No answer. At this point the store manager walked up, not sure why I was calm and quiet. His fist question was, "Did he buy it here?" During this conversation I was told by the service writer that they were "The only Ducati shop in the state of Florida." I walked out to give those two idiots a chance to con fab. In the meantime I called BMW of Jacksonville a Ducati dealer and set up the appointment for the recall. Got the answer to all my questions over the phone. Here's the kicker. The recall part was there but Ride Now lost their Ducati tec. They can't even do an oil change. I was told to wait for them to hire a new tec and they will give me a call. Really? During the sale they wanted me to buy a $2,700 maintenance plan. Glad I did not do that. read more

Deceptive sales practices. This is the worst buying experience I have ever had. The used motorcycle I purchased had a Craigslist price of $8,150. I live 80 miles away and called for an out the door price. They refused to provide that information stating that it was corporate policy. After 30 days the craigslist price was reduced to $7175. I made the drive and agreed to play the RideNow sales game. I wanted to make a cash purchase but still had to sign a couple of documents and provide my drivers license and a bank card before I could get the RideNow out the door price. Their $7175 internet price was $10,100 out the door. The major up charges were listed as Dealer set up and Dealer Fee. I felt insulted by this deception and prepared to "quit" the game. They came back with a revised out the door price of $8700. The price did not include any extended warranties. I took the deal because I could not find this particular used vehicle anywhere else. I use the RideNow dealership in Jacksonville on Beach Blvd for parts and service without a problem. It is the RideNow corporate sales practices that are shady, buyer beware. read more

A group of us rode in for one of our guys to get a helmet. From the moment we walked in until we left the ENTIRE staff was nothing short of spectacular. They greeted us as soon as we stepped on the lot. A person came up and asked if he could direct us to sales, parts and or service. They answered every question and seemed eager too. They did not sell our group 1 helmet today... They sold us 4 and a pair of boots and a jacket. Thats what good customer service will do. They are 4 hours from my house and I will ride out there in a heartbeat to get what I need for my motorcycles. The General Manager introduced himself to us then introduced us to theit parts manager and service mgr. We had a great time talking to the staff. BEWARE OF WOLVES IN SHEEPS CLOTHING!! Bought a Benelli TNT 135 from them have had nothing but issues with them since. Lied about having to take the GPS tracker off to get me a lower down payment after trying to hound me for a higher down payment for over an hour. However, it was in my initial paperwork of the bike that the GPS was supposed to be in there. Then took my bike back because the front wheel was improperly installed. They gave me nothing but troubles with that until I advised them that I was getting legal representation. Then he informed me that he would not only fix the front wheel of the bike but that they would also do the 500 mile service to make sure that I was a happy customer... unfortunately, this being my first bike, and me not thinking that I may be dealing with shady people I took his word for that..... long story short no service was actually performed and here I am with a warranty that is no longer valid because service wasn't actually done when told it would and a knock in a motor that only has 2000 miles on it and was basically told that I have a $4500 lawn ornament now. Not to mention that when I first bought it, some of the bolts were coming loose and a couple of them were Fingertight. I took it to them to try to get them to tighten everything down and make sure everything was good to go a and they tried to charge me $125 for tightening everything down however, when I went out and looked at the bike and check those bolts all the ones that were Fingertight were still, Fingertight and never touched. I would highly suggest that you do not go to ride now in Gainesville and instead you make the 40 minute trip to the ride now in Ocala to make your purchase instead and save you a ton of hassle in the long run. This ride now is a franchise. It has nothing to do with the Ocala branch. The Ocala branch was professional informative. And all of their mechanics are certified. Most importantly, it was clean. The store has a decent selection, but I really think it could be better. They carry a good selection of Shoei and HJC helmets but none of the other major brands. There have about 6 jackets to choose from. They vary a few pairs of riding boots. They carry no riding pants at all. The sales men for the accessories are not pushy but their knowledge could be a lot better. You can learn more spending a couple days on the internet. The motorcycle sales people are a bit more pushy. I have definitely had worse but they could use to back it off a bit. They have a good selection of new bikes and offer great deals on 2 year old, brand new models. Their used inventory is pretty thin. They could really use a bigger location and I think the building holds them back. But, as it's the only option in Gainesville, you get what you can get and it does get the job done. read more

However, once I was quoted a price from my sales person, who was a nice guy, and I agreed to purchase the ATV pending loan approval, I was presented with a buyers order that added approximately $1700.00 in fees and assembly charges. The real deal is that they get charged about $500 for delivery costs and they double it to recover costs. Then they charge another $588 to assembly fee. That is super high compared to the other dealerships cost being under $300. Then they tack on another $200 worth of doc fees and dealership fees! My worst dealership experience ever. I felt really sorry for the sales guy, he had only been there for three weeks but I went there to buy a trailer for my Sea-Doo. Jasmine, in the 'sales department' on the telephone said that they had the trailer in stock, the trailer would be $1499, and I could come in and get it whenever. I went to the dealership and when I was sat down with the paperwork they said they did not have that trailer in stock and said they would only sell me the $1899 trailer (how ironic that they only had that one available) and would not budge on the price. By the time we got to the bottom line, they wanted $789 to re-tag the trailer, $300 for 'build up', and $300 for destination fees, and the out the door price would be $3500 when I was initially quoted at $1499 sale price. I was completely disgusted; I was lied to on the phone and then tried to defend themselves by saying there was a 'miscommunication' and that was it. It was a total bait & switch tactic. This is one of the key factors in me buying my unit during the negotiation process they tried to nickel and dime me to get the highest possible down payment they could get. But I stood firm to my down payment, which they accepted with no mention of taking the tracker off the bike, or any other downgrades to the unit that I was buying I left feeling like I was a valued customer but would soon find out I was just another pawn. When I noticed that there was no information about the tracking unit in my paperwork that I received I called only to find out that they had taken the tracker off of the unit without my knowledge, or without discussing it with me. even though I was informed that it would be on the bike.
