I was referred to With A Little Help by a friend of mine who is a hospice nurse. He actually gave me the names of three agencies, and I called them all. The first two had a corporate vibe, and sent me directly into a voicemail black hole. It was days before I heard back. When I called With A Little Help, within seconds, I was talking with Kacie, one of the owners, who was so kind and spent all of the time I needed talking with me about our situation and care needs. By the end of the phone call, we had a plan for an intake evaluation, and just a couple of days later, a new care team was in place...and just like that, the stress and worry that had been accumulating over many months lifted. This is just one example of the many, many I could share about the excellent care With A Little Help offers. They aren't a corporate-care behemoth. They are local, owner run, and some of the most caring people I've met in a long time. Kacie and Paul, the owners, worked with us to find the caregivers that are the best fit for our situation. The caregivers are highly skilled, professional, and compassionate. All of them have giant hearts. Some words that come to mind when talking about With A Little Help: Professional Flexible Kind Collaborative Communicative Compassionate Responsive Punctual Attuned For us, With a Little Help has been something of a miracle. I came here after Edmonds Swedish Urgent Care was dismissive of my request, per my oncologist, to get a Covid test to confirm my positive home-test and get treatment due to being high-risk (I'm stage 4 cancer). I left there after the front desk lady said, "We don't give confirmation covid tests," and continued to dismiss me without even asking me any questions or talking with me. That's when I drove to Evergreen on 214th. At Evergreen, everything was great from when I walked in to when I left! The desk gal was kind and efficient, greeting me nicely and asking questions about how I was feeling, and what I needed, then getting me in quickly. The nurse was warm and knowledgeable, explaining what things might go into considering if they did a covid confirmation test or provided treatment with Paxlovid. Then the doctor was fantastic - a kind and intelligent woman with long red hair and an authentic aura about her. She asked about my situation and cared about my immune-suppressed state. The Evergreen doctor ordered a Covid nose swab and discussed other things they might do to help with the symptoms she asked about and be sure my weakened immune system was supported. She even helpfully explained that I likely wouldn't get a fever with Covid because my cancer drugs keep my immune system from being able to fight back as well against sickness (and fevers are the body fighting infection or virus). I left feeling well-cared for, knowing they'd contact me shortly with test results and be sending a Paxlovid prescription to my local pharmacy if needed and likely an antibiotic to be sure they shored up my compromised immune system as much as possible. All in all a fabulous contrast to what I experienced at Edmonds Swedish Urgent Care! I highly recommend Evergreen near 527 and 208th St SE!

Let me be very clear, my finger was deformed and locked in an unnatural position. I should have known immediately and walked out after the receptionist had his mask below his nose and was the assistant for my x-rays. I did not feel safe as a woman. DON'T GO, but if you must, definitely don't go alone.

Over the past year, members of my family have been to three different urgent care locations. This…read moreone is my favorite. When I first saw the bill, I was like "That's expensive!" Then I checked the other urgent care locations and saw they were at least the same price. They do tend to prescribe medication more often here than other places, but when I've expressed concern with a specific Rx I had issues with, they were quick to find an alternative. The biggest reason I love this place is the time it takes. I'm usually out the door in less than 15 minutes (with an appointment). That includes greeting reception, getting vitals from an assistant, answering questions about why I'm there, talking to the doc, and leaving with my visit summary. I don't come here when I'm feeling well - I want to be back home, wrapped in a blanket, hopefully with some antibiotics or medication to make my plague less miserable. More than any other place I've been, this checks that box. If you're looking for a conversation about how your family is doing, make an appointment with your PCP. If you're sick and need something addressed quickly, visit One Urgent Care.

No frills, relaxed, no fish tanks, just good easily accessible professional medical care for routine issues. Also had the opportunity to utilize a comprehensive Zoom facility for additional testing. Again, excellent attentive medical providers, less hoops to jump through, much faster access to care. Stellar service to have for the community. I realize there may be hiccups with individual clinics but the overall concept of a nimble, responsive, easy to access to medical services is much needed.

Dr.Kreisman started the appointment by loudly walking into the room and saying "I'm not sure what you expect me to do for you", I was in to seek help for a flu that was never ending. She insulted my shoe size, I'm a tall woman so obviously I wear larger shoes? None of her business at all. She was very condescending towards mothers in my life, saying that it was their job to stay home with their children and insulting my mom's career. A course on professionalism and bedside manner would be helpful for this situation. Ask for any other doctor if you choose to use this location!

I'm a cancer survivor, among other stuff. Nothing about my care is easy, straightforward. Some of my troubles have taken years to bring under control. Dr Hodne is the best partner, life coach, and caregiver anyone can ask for. She and her team have gone above and beyond for me, time and again. Two strategies are proven to improve patient outcomes. Constructive long-term relationships, obviously. Emphasizing wellness over treating disease. Knowing this, I enthusiastically supported Greenlake's switch to a concierge model. The concierge model is a rejection of our nation's immoral, inefficient, profiteering fee-for-service model. It's a return to our Rockwell-esque notions of the family doctor. It allows doctors to spend as much time as needed with a patient, to do research, to coordinate all the referrals, to do battle with insurers, etc. No one is getting rich in family practice. Or running an independent clinic. Do the math, read the news. The providers at Greenlake Primary Care are making huge sacrifices. Just to keep the lights on. Just to deliver actual healthcare. Yes, concierge requires memberships to make it work. Until our nation adopts Medicare For All, it's the best available option. I chose to be a member, despite living off credit cards (at the time), because I wanted to get better. I chose correctly. You can too.

It seems some reviews here are about UW's policies and procedures in general. I am talking about…read morethis clinic specifically. I have been going here for six years and I hope I never have to go anywhere else. I have very complex health needs and I always know I will be treated kindly and with respect by everybody here -- doctors, nurses, staff, lab technicians, everybody. The integration with my specialists is terrific. I feel like my entire care team here and at the rest of UW are connected and can help in treating me holistically, not just looking at numbers and stats.

I came in for my wellness check and…read moreto establish care and it was very basic which is fine, they do only what is the on the list for your age and gender but the reason for the rating is a couple of things. Do NOT ever let them record you for their notes because those notes and imformation can be seen by the billing department so not sure how they can violate Hepa but everyone does. Also, if the doctor asks you a question or notices something they just randomly mark it down as a diagnosis and then they bill you more as complex. For example, if you have acne but you came in for another reason and the doctor asks if you have acne and you say - I don't want to be treated for it - literally you say that, they can then write down a diagnosis of acne in your chart and charge you more for the visit. I don't think if the doctor notices something like that which you don't want to be treated for that they have the right to diagnose you without telling you. Make sure if you get asked to tell them that you don't want a "diagnosis". I feel like they are looking for diagnoses to make you complex case. I do not take any medications and have no chronic conditions but somehow UW Med says I am "complex" but no other doctor's practice has ever said that. Be very aware of what you say and what they write down is my recommendation.
