I want to share my experience working with this escrow company, and unfortunately it was very disappointing. My transaction ended up being canceled, and during the process I requested to complete a standard wire. I was told I needed to notarize a form. That alone isn't unusual, but what is unusual is that this escrow company does not have a notary available on site unless you pay extra. Any professional escrow company I've ever worked with has a notary available as part of basic service. Here, they refused to do it unless I paid, which honestly felt cheap and unprofessional. In a transaction involving large sums of money, nickel-and-diming clients over something this basic is unacceptable. Between the lack of support and unnecessary friction, the process was frustrating from start to finish. I would not recommend this escrow company to anyone looking for a smooth or professional transaction. read more

Closed escrow successfully on Nov. 20, 2020 with "SAME DAY FUNDING AND RECORDING" thanks to New Venture Escrow efforts(this was an escrow that was suppose to close Nov. 23, 2020). My client was so happy to be able to get keys to his new condo before the weekend allowing him to move in and get setup before Thanksgiving. Those in the industry know that was no easy feat, during the holiday season, having received loan docs at escrow the day before on Thursday Nov. 19, 2020. That is a prime example of the skillset of Matt Mulalley and his team. I have been a Realtor since 2005 and say with confidence that Matt Mulalley is, hands down, one of the best escrow officers in San Diego California. I must also give good mention to his escrow assisstant Nellie Kasimi. With her effective communication and follow up with my client, transaction coordinator and myself, it set the stage for a smooth transaction. Giving a shout out to Moriene Toomey! I have worked with many good escrow officers in the past, but she went above and beyond and saved my family a chunk of change. I refinanced on a property and was having some administrative challenges with a previous lender. She followed up regularly with the lender to keep them on track, was easily reachable by phone and email, and at the end of my transaction, went the extra mile and to fax in our closing paperwork at 8:00pm, after hours. Had she not got those documents in, I would have lost a very good rate lock with a new lender and would have had to pay an extra $600 to get that same rate. In spite of the many other files she was working on, and the many delays caused by the previous lender, she made a big effort to ensure that I saved that extra $600. She's a class act! read more
