Terrible customer service as well…read more Planted trees incorrectly, per two different arborists who assessed the dying trees and plants. AAS tried to then pin the blame on me. Sometimes you get what you pay for when you try to go with the least expensive vendor. Good luck if you choose to work with them. Additional note- I hired a good landscaper to come and re lay the turf that AAS had also poorly laid and they discovered when AAS laid the turf, they ran the drip line for the trees under the turf and put turf nails through it. Per the landscaper, "Either the last turf crew saw your drip line underneath the turf footprint and decided not to move it, or there lack of excavation depth failed to expose the line in their way. Laziness none the less and two of the turf nails are in the line. Could be why the ground was soaking wet today from running the drip line yesterday and possible an issue with water not getting to your last set of trees."

In both instances, they have done a great job with designing the possibilities for my space. The first project was a covered patio and entryway on the front of my house in 2010. For this project, Dream Makers was able to complete the project on time and on budget. They even came back to level out some pavers that had settled months later. For this project, I would give them the highest rating. My most recent project is an addition to my home of an A-frame with a fireplace and this project is still underway as of February 2023, but nearing completion and the addition to my home will make outdoor living possible in a space that was otherwise under-utilized. Dream Makers has worked hard to keep my current project moving, but they are way behind schedule. Initially, the project was estimated to take 8-10 weeks. It has currently been over 6 months and we are still not completed. Some of this has to do with materials availability, but the timeline has been frustrating. The end result will certainly be worth it. In my experience with Dream Makers over the past 13 years, I have seen them move towards more high-end projects in recent years and their competition in the Denver area market is DesignScapes and Designs by Sundown. When I began my project, I contacted each company and I was ignored by one of the competitors and the other one told me that my project would require $8,500-$15,000 up front just for a consultation and plans... Dream Makers, on the other hand was happy to communicate with me and work with me over a long period of time to design the right high-end landscaping and outdoor living space for my home.

We eventually placed about 1200 sqft of grass, installed a sprinkler system, and put up a 25ft privacy fence to close out my yard. The work was completed quickly and with great quality, and Sergio consistently kept me updated on progress. Along the way I was introduced to a professional and skilled team of workers that created beauty and craftsmanship in everything they touched. Even when I decided the initial plan needed some additions, or changes, or I just simply changed my mind, never once did they say they couldn't achieve the outcome I was looking for. All they ever said was "Yes, absolutely, we can do that". It was almost a surreal experience working with a contractor that not only kept their word, their schedule, and their price point (except for the design changes which were 100% on me), this contractor went BEYOND the ordinary and into the EXTRAORDINARY throughout the entire project. They even went so far to clean my neighbor's car when they got dust on it. They helped me with any specific requests I had and were abundantly patient with me when I was trying to understand the design. I live in the Uptown neighborhood where this company services one of the many apartment buildings…read moreand the landscapers are an absolute menace to the community. To start, they show up daily at 8am with extremely loud gas powered leaf blowers which immediately disrupts the neighborhood at a time when many people are first waking for the day. In addition to the obnoxiously loud noise first thing in the morning, the smell of gas aways finds its way into my apartment. It becomes increasingly frustrating when you see multiple landscapers in the area use electric equipment which is never disruptive and never leaves a smell. This points to the obvious lack of respect this company has for the community. Despite showing up so early everyday, they still find a way to be disruptive throughout most of the day. They may be on your street for an hour starting at 8am, back for another 45mins at 11am then another 30mins at 1:30 so you never know when they will be around to disrupt your day and you can never plan around it. Additionally, the landscapers almost always travel in packs which means two to three people walking down the same street at the same time blowing loud leaf blowers at the same thing, multiple times a day. This is frustrating for those of us who work from home. Personally, I've had to end several work meetings and important calls early because it's too loud to hear anything else. Even with windows closed, the equipment they use is so loud that it's always a distraction. Again, this shows the complete lack of respect toward the neighborhood and the people who reside in it. Your money and time may be better spent having your people cover more ground spread out than collectively working on the same space. Better management here may also help eliminate the inconsistency as well as the need to return to the same spaces multiple times in one day. This company consistently shows zero respect for the community it serves. Unless you like being waken up by loud noise and the smell of gas, I would not recommend. In the attached pic you can see two landscapers both using their leaf blowers on one very confined space at the same time. The building they are servicing spans several blocks but here are the employees working in one small space together, both with their loud equipment. This is normal for these employees.
