Wow definitely a gem!! Parked outside. There are many sweets to choose from, packaged baked goods, or straight up warm food and pastries!! We came for lunch and it was hard to choose what to order because everything looked so good! This Arab bakery is an absolute gem in Dearborn. We went for breakfast soon after opening for the manakeesh. We ordered the zaatar and cheese one along with a plain cheese one. We also tried their meat pies, hummus, and a couple types of their mini pizzas. Fresh out of the oven, these baked goods cannot be beat. The cheese manakeesh was the best item and while the zaatar and cheese one was solid, the zaatar was a bit dry. The other baked goods were also delicious as well. The hummus was ok; nothing special. The corner storefront includes a wide selection of pastries, hot food served cafeteria style, and a grocery section highlighted by the house brand of pita bread. I took a spongy chocolate cake, which collapsed immediately but tasted good regardless. Never tried middle eastern food before and wonder how I missed such great food. I used their website to look at the menu and I chose a few items. Fried shrimp sambousek made the biggest impression. Great the same day and when I warm up the left over. I shared with my best friend and she wrote down its name and the business's name. She even call our other best friend to tell her. Pizza was also good warm up or eaten the same day. Beef shish kabob individual skewer had grill beef that could cut with a butter knife. Also good warm up. Cheese croissant will be ordered again. Ordered online during covid for pickup curbside. Easy to use online order site, with an accurate timer for when the order would be ready. The store is in north Dearborn, but the business is on Warren and in a good area. My wife and I ordered an array from bread to soup to hummus to meat pies to rice and grape leaves. The staff was polite when I called on arrival, and when bringing the order to the car. The food was all really good. Excellent. This place is a bakery and sells deli type over the counter items. Hummus, fatoush, and others are sold by the pound. So if you want just a taste of several items, it's great for that. Pricing is fair. Food is always fresh and consistent. My favorite is a chicken tawook. Which has nice large chunks of grilled white meat. Service is quick, and attentive. The bread, hummus, pickles, and garlic spread was very plentiful and tasted good. However, I was disappointed in my chicken shawarma plate. I ordered shawarma with rice and came home to find chicken tawook. I messaged them and was told they were out of rice and substituted hummus and that after a certain hour they stop making shawarma and only have tawook. Frustrating as I would not have placed an order had I been told this upfront. They didn't mention the substitutions upon pick-up. The portion of chicken I received in the photo was quite small as well for $10. The store items and baked goods seemed ok. Perhaps I would go back again for those, but not for a hot meal. There are many great Middle Eastern and Lebanese restaurants in the Detroit area. I think what makes New Yasmeen special is the bakery aspect. We ordered a variety of baked items as well as lentil soup, grape leaves, hommus and garlic sauce. The bakery items were the standout, baked and fried, all were fresh and had good flavor. The Manaeesh Cheese bread, soft and toasted with melted cheese, with their lentil soup is basically a perfect lunch for a cold winter day.  The lentil soup itself is better than average, it had good texture and included other veggies. The only item I was not fond of was the Date Maamoul, I just was not a fan of the texture with the flavor. I ordered online so all I had to do was pick up the order when I got there from the very friendly ladies at the counter. I've tried to find this link to online ordering from the yelp app/page and was not able to find it directly, which is too bad as it was easy to order that way. read more

I've been going here since I was in high school and it's absolutely incredible. Yelp provided me with an Elite Perk and I got to introduce my partner to their food and bread. Their spinach pies are the best and keep really well in the fridge, we got a few extra for breakfast. I'm also a big fan of the sanbousek and the cabbage leaves. They make the best toum, also! They have differnt kinds of breads , pastries , cakes , middle eastern desserts like kinnafa , baklava etc,. Their Falafels are huge which makes you want to buy them.They have one of the best falafel sandwiches in the area. I would say much closer to the authentic ones. Chicken shwarma sandwich is just alright . Again same issue where there is lot of meat but less sauce leading to a dry sandwich. Yasmeen is your neighborhood bakery. Unpretentious family business. Have been going there for over 25 years. Seen kids grow and adults mature to older age gracefully. My favorite is on a Saturday morning when I stop by for a man'ooshe fix or a side dish, vegetables, kibbe balls or even a lunch with family cooked meals. This is not a 5 star restaurant. But it is a terrific neighborhood bakery where you can get a fix and carrry on with your day have had a nice meal at a ridiculously low price. I've been meaning to try New Yasmeen Bakery for a while now and I'm glad I finally did. They have new, easy online ordering paired with curbside pickup, so covid-19 concerns are zero. They serve a great chicken shawarma sandwich, and the real star is the hummus. Oh my gosh, it is next level. It is to die for. It is lick the last out of the container good. This is a bakery, so you have to order the pita separately, but a bag of 10 is only $1.50. And it's fresh and delicious. Yesss. My favorite Middle Eastern bakery in the area for sure. I typically do carry out of cold items and it never disappoints. My usual order? The larger meat pies, spinach pies, the pita bread with the cheese inside (like a pita quesadilla--SO GOOD), hoummous, tabouli, pita, and a small tray full of sweets like the honey balls, honey swirls, and baklava filled with cheese. The honey balls? Man. I love them. Deep fried little bits of dough soaked in a floral honey. A definite stand out. The meat pies have a great spiced flavor with bits of pine nuts in there, the spinach pies have a bit of acidic tartness that I really enjoy as well. I dip it in the hoummous and let the flavors ride! Prices are MORE than reasonable--all the above (with multiple orders of each) only cost me around $20 and I've been eating them for the last 3-4 days.
