I have tried two times now to give this company my business, and each time they have either closed early or not been open at 10am like their sign says. I am leaving their store now, 15 minutes before closing because they said they vault is already locked. Why lock it before your store is closed?? I don't know what all the negative is about this store-maybe from competitors or just angry people! I have had several repairs done there, and my wife shops there, too. They did a beautiful job repairing and upgrading an old Bulova Accutron watch at a reasonable price. I'll go back; I wonder what all the stink is about! If shopping for jewelery, shop around first. I have mostly used this place for watch batteries and jewelry cleaning with little problem. I took my watch in to be repaired Friday 11-25 and was told by the clerk who wrote up my claim ticket I would get an estimate in a couple days. 8 days go by and no call , so I stop in there on 12-2 thinking there's just been an oversight and my watch would be ready. I'm told quite rudely that it's only been in a day. I correct their math and then was told I'm sure it will be ready in a couple days. Called today and still not in... No estimate ... I drove and rushed from Stockton to look around and to also have an item appraised. The sign indicated they closed at 6pm, I arrived at 5:45 to see all the employees closing up for the day. I waited for someone to come to the door to address me and to my surprise a lady with a horrible demeanor and condescending tone opened the door and asked me what I needed and I said it's 5:45 the sign says you close at 6pm she with an attitude responds with "well we have to give ourselves enough time to get out of here, we open up again tomorrow at 10am" really you need to close 15 mins before especially when you have a customer right in front of you, that might be someone who wants to buy a piece. Too me this place isn't even worth coming back and with that level of service I would advise people to take their business to a place whom will value the business. I had a coupon to get a ring resized for free. I brought it in talked to the worker who assured me there would be no charge...fast forward a few days I go to pick up my ring and am told that it would cost me $10.00. The same person I talked to when I dropped it off told me this . I reminded him about the coupon. He told me if I wanted the ring I had to pay. So I did. What a bunch of crap. They didnt know it but I was all set to spend $400.00 on a ring but after that I went elsewhere. Sooo I hope they really enjoyed that $10.00. Because they lost out on making $400.00 more. Giving this place a 1 star is way too much! Since it is the only Jeweler in town, I took my ring to get the size reduced literally less than an hour after my fiancé proposed to me. We were excited! They measured my finger and said it would be done in 4 days. She was rude and deflated our high of the experience but we shrugged it off! We had a don't do it feeling but decided to do it anyways. When I picked up the ring the ring was still too big. She said that this is what your ring size was and argued about the fact that it didn't fit. They are supposed to be the experts and tell you what fits and what size right? Plus I would think that ring sizes do not fit all the same and thought that they would customize the fit. Of course this thought is too much for these people! So I took the ring to 2 other jewelers and they said it was a 1/2 size off. Took the ring back and she reluctantly and rudely said she would fit it but that if it didn't fit I would have to wear it regardless. Who says that to a customer!! When I went to pick up the ring it was now too small. After working with a younger lady who was willing to help, the older lady came over and was rude again (surprise) and gave me my money back and said to leave. Wow! How professional! If they are the jeweler and can't get the size right, What gives them the right to be in business? DO NOT DO YOUR BUSINESS HERE!!!!! She is rude forgetful among other things. Have gone here before but will never make that mistake again. Wishing that they would go out of business and someone who knows what they are doing comes to Manteca. What a huge disappointment. Overspent there,they where nice and reeled me in,my credit is shot,so I went in there bought my lady a engamentring set,,2 rings 4000 bucks saw the same set and prob better quality at cosco and khols for about 1100 bucks,then 5 lilttle diamonds fell off after 11 mths took it back and they charged 150 bucks,then I told them to make note of the diamonds they replacing,older guy said there's no way to tell which ones they were gonna replace,I showed him how easy it is to document,he had a dumb look on his face and I told him if I loose anymore especailly the ones they replaced would they be covered,,he said no..I was mad and told him I still owed 2700 bucks,he didn't care,,,,place takes advantage of people,next time id rather go to a pawn shop! Horrible experience... Went here to get my fiancee's ring cleaned... Big mistake... When the ring got returned to us it was missing a diamond... We confronted the workers and we were told the ring was already like that... Which it was not... The ring is only a few months old... After talking for a bit more they said they would try and find the missing diamond... They asked to look at the ring once more... After I gave it to here she disappeared for some time... Then she comes back and says they found the diamond... Which is total bs... I left feeling like I got ripped off...never go here... Shady atmosphere... Brought my wife's new watch in to have the band adjusted. left the store within 5 minutes it falls off her wrist. One of the pins wasn't installed right. Returned the girl than put the pin in backwards. When I said something she looked at me like I was crazy. Very poor feeling, this women looking down at me like I was crap. Never will go back. If I could give no stars I would. These people are incompetent! They broke the bevel around the stone on my ring and then said that it was like that when I brought it in.
