She had a medical emergency recently and the EMT's cut the ring off her finger, because arthritis made it impossible to remove it normally. It's not an expensive ring by any standard, but it's sentimental value is priceless! And not to just to my mother, but everyone in our family. I brought the ring to Ybarra Bros and asked if they could fix it and make it a little bigger, so it could go on easily despite her arthritis. Andres was very helpful and definitely understood the personal meaning of the ring to me and my family. I was given a week estimate and a very fair price for the work I was asking for. I agreed and left the ring in their capable hands. What I didn't know yesterday, when I dropped the ring off, was that Alphonse was listening to the story of the ring from his office and decided to make it a priority job. Alphonse called me today to say that the ring was ready and I was shocked. I rushed over to Ybarra Bros and sure enough it was and Alphonse told me that he had made it his priority job. Ybarra Bros treated my mother's simple signet ring like it was a priceless piece from the crown jewels. And it works out even better, because today is my mum's birthday and she got her ring back, in better shape than it was. I will definitely be shopping there myself and I know that if I need a piece repaired, where to take it.
