I've been a patient at Tri State Eye for over 10 years. The past two months I have been advised…read morethat I need surgery to control my eye pressure. I contacted three eye doctors to get their opinions and requested Tri State Eye to fax my records to them. Tri State Eye faxed two but refused to fax the third one. My appointment with this last doctor is on Monday. Tri State Eye calls me Thursday at 5 PM to tell me they are NOT faxing it over but I can pick up copies of my records for a small fee. Then she adds on Friday they are open till 12 PM. Which by the way on their website and phone greeting message says they are open 8:30 - 4:00 Monday - Friday.. It' s obvious that their patient care office doesn't priorities patient health. Apparently saving money on faxes is more important than their patients eye health.

This doctor's office did not submit information to my insurance to find out whether this particular surgery was going to be paid by them. My insurance had no information. Nothing was submitted to them then I find out later that my insurance told me that it would be paid for so the $4000 that I paid out of my pocket. Should've been returned and my insurance company said they would they paid him. After having the operation, I had a problem with dots black dots, and floaters in my eye, and had to constantly go back to him for eye drops and his office staff is operating office staff. We're not forthcoming with me. I asked for my records from Orange ambulatory service in Cornwall I could not get them. I don't know why I could not get my records to tell me exactly what lens was put in my eye and how much it cost they didn't know the codes or anything I am confused and out of $4000 I am upset and will have to wait to find out with my insurance company. What happened and if I will get my money back for the operation that I had. If not, I will have to get a lawyer. My experience with this doctor was horrible. I do not recommend him to anyone.

In Florida, I went to an eye doc who was flawless with injections and laser (for microeruptions of blood vessels) and so I expected coming to NY would find even better docs. While I respect my doc, every single injection either hits a blood vessel (causing significant bleeding and pain for days) or he manages not to nick anything and I have severe pain for 1-2 days. Dr. Koreen seems more suited to running the practice or writing journal articles than actually doing procedures. Further, he does not manage time well. My average visit - from walking through the door to walking out is about 3 hours.

She also did her own assessments and found my perfect eyeglass prescription. Lastly I was assisted by Selena who helped me pick out a beautiful pair of glasses Stephanie the manager, oversees the office to run like a well oiled machine. Store manager Michael was rude, clueless, and couldn't even find my account using my phone number, claiming that I will get the package the same day. Michael doesn't know the difference between the estimate delivery date and a tracking number. After five days of getting nowhere, even going to the store in person I contacted headquarters multiple times and learned the order won't ship for another month. Total failure in service and accountability. The update: Marta, the ophthalmologist called me to come in the store today and she went out of her way to find a pair of monthly contacts that could work close to my number. Last time I was there the ladies were all chatting while a customer waited to get their glass order in. Far superior to the chains and eyeglass stores in the local mall. First, the exam was very thorough and the prescription was accurate. Secondly, picking a pair of frames and lenses was easy and the people at the vision center were helpful and answered all my questions. Lastly, the glasses were well designed and looked great. It took about a week to get my glasses and they fit perfectly. I had to go back once for a slight adjustment which was done quickly. If you need glasses I would highly recommend this vision center
