I've been a patient at Tri State Eye for over 10 years. The past two months I have been advised that I need surgery to control my eye pressure. I contacted three eye doctors to get their opinions and requested Tri State Eye to fax my records to them. Tri State Eye faxed two but refused to fax the third one. My appointment with this last doctor is on Monday. Tri State Eye calls me Thursday at 5 PM to tell me they are NOT faxing it over but I can pick up copies of my records for a small fee. Then she adds on Friday they are open till 12 PM. Which by the way on their website and phone greeting message says they are open 8:30 - 4:00 Monday - Friday.. It' s obvious that their patient care office doesn't priorities patient health. Apparently saving money on faxes is more important than their patients eye health. read more

I went to Doctor Matta Ayman and I had a horrible experience. I was told by his office staff that my insurance which is Medicare and United healthcare would not pay for my eye surgery and I had to pay out of my pocket. This doctor's office did not submit information to my insurance to find out whether this particular surgery was going to be paid by them. My insurance had no information. Nothing was submitted to them then I find out later that my insurance told me that it would be paid for so the $4000 that I paid out of my pocket. Should've been returned and my insurance company said they would they paid him. After having the operation, I had a problem with dots black dots, and floaters in my eye, and had to constantly go back to him for eye drops and his office staff is operating office staff. We're not forthcoming with me. I asked for my records from Orange ambulatory service in Cornwall I could not get them. I don't know why I could not get my records to tell me exactly what lens was put in my eye and how much it cost they didn't know the codes or anything I am confused and out of $4000 I am upset and will have to wait to find out with my insurance company. What happened and if I will get my money back for the operation that I had. If not, I will have to get a lawyer. My experience with this doctor was horrible. I do not recommend him to anyone. read more

Barbara is extremely rude!!! People should not work in customer service if they do not want to service customer/ patients nicely . I understand not every patient is pleasant and your human but this an every visit occurrence. customer care is terrible read more

So I went to the Milford, PA office as the Middletown office could not accommodate an appointment for months and I thought my vision had declined rapidly so I got very scared. They have a policy that requests no perfume, scented lotions. My first appointment was just ok, my second appointment they refused to see me because my clothes smelled like "fabric softener" I have been a RN for over 30 years and can understand if someone is sensitive to um smells, but this was beyond ridiculous, clearly anyone that is that sensitive to smell is in the wrong line of work, so my options were, for my next appt, not wash my clothes, hair or body to see if that was more acceptable or just not go back, I opted not to got back. Be mindful of this completely offensive , unprofessional reception you may receive. read more

I had an adverse reaction to a medication that Dr. Ross recommended. I called Tri State Eye in Middletown,NY to let them know. The office was not at all interested. They were only interested in what the Dr. prescribed. They were rude and obnoxious. Not at all interested in my welfare. I notified all the people that I know were considering cataract surgery not to consider Tri State Eye because of their ill mannered incompetent staff, especially Barbara, who mam ed me up the kazoo! The medication was recommended by the Food and Drug Administration for 7 day,s and particular caution to those 65 and older to watch out for adverse reactions. Since I had adverse reactions mentioned in the disclaimer for the drug I felt obliged to notify. I am 75 years of age. Dr. Ross told me he was prescribing another 90 days of the same medication Valtrex. When I picked up the medication it was for 90 more pills, 3X a day which were 1 more month of the medication, and not 90 days more of a medication recommended for only 7 days, which I'm sure he will dispute what he said, and Barbara will of course verify. I asked Barbara if she wanted to know what the reactions were. She gave me the privilege of telling her, then said that Dr. Ross wanted me to see Dr. G., (which I wanted to postpone until I was feeling better, ) and then come back to Dr. Ross afterwards, in a very annoyed manner. read more

I find that the service here to be very thorough.. I understand with a review I read about them that they explain when they do as to a cataract surgery the difference between the lenses that come with the Medicare and if you want a better lens.. I wish my doctor at the time in 2016 would have explained that to me read more

From tests and measurements to in-depth explanations, everything and everyone was professional, courteous and reassuring. My 90-year old mother is hard of hearing and they would not let me go into the appointment with her. Really? I can't say what kind of care she received because, again, I could not be with her and...she could not hear the doctor! read more

My wife went in for cataract surgery, she needed both eyes done and only had partial vision in the left eye. She had the left eye done first and today, the patch came off. The results were amazing! Dr Palydowcz is a fantastic doctor and his support staff outstanding! This place was quite a find. She has her right eye to do now in two weeks and now, with none of the anxiety she felt for the first. Excellent! read more

Had surgery done with Dr. P. Felt pressure by both the staff and him to have a better lens. After some reservation decided to have a better lens placed by him called "symfony." I still need reading glasses despite reassurances by his staff that I will be less reliant on them. That's not the case as I need them all the time for reading. After talking with people seems that there is a lot of money that the doctor makes by having you put "better" lenses. He also wants you to have the surgery at his surgical center in the same building, probably another money maker. Unbelievable how these doctors milk us patients these days. Do your homework and make sure you make the right choice. My night vision is also somewhat off, hard to explain but supposedly common with these "symfony" lenses. Talking with friends it seems there was less pressure to put the better lenses in other practices in our area. Nevertheless, I will give three stars as I have to credit the practice for squeezing me quickly to do the surgery and the surgery itself went well. Wished that the surgeon would see me afterwards rather than his optometrists. Satisfied with the outcome, but the practice lacks personable touch...felt like an assembly line for rolling your bank account. read more

We got quite a scare this week when we were advised to see a ophthalmologist right away. To boot, we were on vacation, far from our doctor or any of his recommendations. When we stumbled upon Tri-State, we were impressed by the doctors listing of credentials.. All seemed great! But alas, we had no appointment... The specialists in the office were completely booked, & we had no referral from anyone other than an astute optometrist in our hometown whom we spoke to over the phone. The staff sensed our anxiety & squeezed us in. Dr. Lawrence Ross did a thorough and careful exam, explaining everything, while the friendly staff performed the tests he ordered. Dr. Ross was very competent and reassuring! We were so relieved to find out everything was OK! Judging by our experience, the other patients positive comments as we waited to be seen, the accolades on the walls, and the demeanor of everyone there, it seems that there are VERY many satisfied clients!! read more
