Great experience buying a suit for my husband (the forest avenue store) considering we are going through some terrible times with this pandemic. The store was clean and it looked like a brand new place. The customer service was amazing, (especially working with Carlos), he helped my husband with everything he needed and he didn't feel rushed. Must be under new management, the merchandise was so neatly kept and organized made it so easy to just pick up other items that he needed as well. Bought my three boys and I suits for my wedding at there Hyland Blvd location. Jay was extremely patient with all of us including the Mrs. When she cane on the lat two visits to ensure everything was just right. Came here because the suit store near me recently closed, and i'm very happy that I did. I came in just as it was about to close, yet the service was amazing. I didn't get the lady's name who helped me, but she was super fast and helpful with measuring me, getting the proper sizes of what I needed, and advising me on what matched what. In addition, for the items I got (shoes, shirt, tie, and belt) it was a very reasonable price. overall, i'm glad I came as the excellent service really made what I thought would take an hour or so, only take about 10 minutes. read more

Dishonest business practices. Hidden details that are not clearly explained with purchase. I would avoid this place as there are many other places to buy suits. When I bought a suit I was told buy 1 get 2 free anytime there was no time frame. When I go back they tell you it expires in 1 year which was not mentioned at the time of purchase. Had better hopes as this is a neighborhood spot I tried to give business to. read more

I had two custom shirts made less that a year ago. I paid $270 for them. Both shirts have shredded at the elbow . I have other shirts older and cost less that are in better shape. What a disgrace. read more

Horrible experience I ordered two suits online but they didn't fit so I emailed week ago to return or get bigger size no one reached back out. Since I didn't get a response I called the store and the person I spoke with said to come in and we can see if we can do the return because only one person can do the online returns or exchanges and they were out. I went all the way from NJ and once I got to the store they said they couldn't and that I should go online and request for return. I emailed again and I still haven't gotten a response. Not good business practices. I ordered 3 suits from them and only got 2. I called many times and was told the other suit will arrive Monday then Wednesday the last time Saturday. I order these suits April 4th and still not suit even though they charge credit card for 3 suits. I will NEVER EVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN!!!! I used to buy all my husband suits from them with good service. I knew something was wrong when they told me suit will be delivered on those days because he never asked my name or order number. He made the buying experience easy and enjoyable. The measurements and alterations were excellent. Being a short/portly fellow myself, its not always easy to find a COMFORTABLE suit. Let me start by saying I don't wear a suite everyday and depend on the professional I'm buying from to know how it should fit. I was at your location near the mall last week & had the unfortunate pleasure of dealing with "Zeek". He showed me a few suits, I picked one I liked and he started doing his measurements & marks. It was all very fast, simple & painless. I was very happy with my experience. A few days later my wife picked the suite up and it hung in the closet for another day or so till I had time to put it on. It's now the day before I need to wear it so I figure I'll put it on just to see how damn good I look in this $450.00 suit. I looked in the mirror and it looked like I was wearing a hand me down from my big brother. WTF? I pull out one of my other suits to compare. Well, "Zeek"sold me a 46 reg. & my other suits are 44reg. I also noticed the chest pocket is still sewn shut ( how do I put a pocket square in a pocket that won't open?). I'm a little annoyed but hey, it's NY Suits and my pal "Zeek" will make it right for me. Back over to the store I go. I walk in and there's "Zeek" eating a jelly donut or something. I greet him and explain that I don't like the way the jacket fits. He pulls up my info on the computer, looks at my recipe, and tells me they didn't do any alterations to the waist of the jacket and tells me I should have tried it on sooner because he does not have a tailor to fix it for me by the following day. I tell him I been busy and counted on him to fit the suit correctly the first time. I quickly realize my pal "Zeek" isn't going to do a damn thing to help me out. Now I'm pissed and tell him I'll take it to a real tailor, and out the door I go. I got home and called your forest ave location. The guy over there tells me "Zeek" is old and he likes his suits to be loose fitting and the young guys at the forest ave shop would have made sure it fit like a suit should in 2019. I explain I want to wear the suit the next day but he don't have a tailor available to do it overnight. I hang up with him & call a professional tailor located on manor rd. He tells me he's closing in 20 min but i can come over and he'll help me out. The tailor laughed when I put the jacket on & said he's taking it in 4 inches. Thank god these guys know how a suit should fit cause "Zeek" sure don't. Moral of the story is don't waste your time at the location near the mall. I for one will never shop there again. I was looking around for a but I am a man who likes to stay on a budget. I seen there sign about deals for suits. So I said let me check this out. This place is pretty good, the staff was helpful and the price was good. So I spent $159 at this place instead forking $400 to macys. But The suit wasn't a major name brand Calvin Klein or Ralph Lauren, but the suit looked good and so was the price. read more

This place is ok. I don't really recommend getting a tuxedo rental from here. They don't have anything in stock to try on and everything has to be ordered. As for suits there prices are reasonable for the quality. I also got ties here for my bridal party and with one short they had to order it. They never got the tie on time and blamed it on the "company" for not sending the right tie, till this day I have not recieved the tie. Some of the formal shiny shoes are pretty cheap. Sean will help with everything! My husband and I had gone their for tuxedos for the men in our bridal party, and Sean helped with everything! He is very friendly, gave good advice, and knew the business inside and out. He informed us of the sizing, how the groomsmen should get measured, and even gave my ring bearer a tuxedo to match exactly with my husband's. My husband brought my father-in-law to the store to get measured for his tux, and Sean was so patient with him. Since the store is associated with Dante's, groomsmen can have their tuxedos delivered to other Dante's if that is more convenient/closer for them. Everything went smoothly. read more
