This was my first time back here in a few years, and it will.be the last the last. The only way to describe the entire experience is, "Meh." Let's start with the almost 5% administration fee, or whatever they call it on the menu. With specific notes that this doesn't go towards staff for tips. Ok. Just raise your prices. Don't play games. It wasn't a busy night so I expected service that would be prompt and somewhat attentive Nope. Had to struggle to get water refills for myself and gave up on a 2nd refill for any pop for the table. The small greek salad that I ordered was tasty. The garlic bread with cheese tasted like they forgot the garlic. The 2 personal pizzas that were order were two of the most unimpressive mediocre pizzas I have ever had. The grilled salmon that was ordered was cooked perfectly and sauced very well. However this is Pizza House, not Salmon House, so I had higher expectations for the star of the show. Bill comes, I pay, I tip, and I leave knowing I will never come back. I know it sounds cliche to say it was better years ago when I was in college, but it stands true. Being open until 4 am to feed a late night crowd is only impressive when you are not serving the most lackluster pizza in Ann Arbor. We were there at 9:30 and expected a quality experience. What I got was swift dose of buyers remorse. The entire experience made me wish I had called in a carryout order from any other pizza place and taken my family home to eat there. Got the buy one, get one free deal on DoorDash. It was a great deal and the driver was excellent because he went to my door as opposed to dropping my food at the lobby like the other night. It was pleasant to see the level of detail Pizza House went through to ensure my dining experience was great; they gave me plates and a pizza server so I would not have to use my hands. I ordered cheese for both because I'm currently not eating meat. The pizza was good and cheesy, but I would prefer more sauce. It took me 2 days to finish it. It's very filling! read more

We came here for the Chicago Stuffed pizza. It came highly rated. I like my pizza with all the toppings. However, our friend likes it with just cheese. Since it was his birthday we let him choose. We got the 10 inch small (6 slices) with cheese $26.95. It was enough for the three of us. It was thick, full of cheese and so filling. I ate one piece and I was done. It was excellent though. The crust was crispy. FYI, it takes 30 minutes to make the pizza. For our appetizer we ordered the Mexican Street Corn dip with tortilla chips $11.95. It was good. We all liked it. I also wanted a bowl of Clam Chowder, which they were supposed to be selling that day. They didn't have it. Our server said that they haven't been making it since she's been working there. This review pains me to write. Pizza House has been one of my favorite places since I first dined there in 2018. Sadly, service and prices have taken a major hit since the pandemic. I understand trying to stay afloat as a business. I know the pandemic made life a lot more difficult. But adding a 4.5% admin fee to every check? Due to "operational costs" , "wages" and "training" ... I don't believe any of that for a second. Especially since my most recent visits in 2024 and 2025 has left the service a lot to be desired. If I'm spending $70+ tip on two personal pizzas and an order of cheesy bread (seriously, these prices are highway robbery), I expect to be given the best services I've ever had anywhere. Looks like that admin fee for training is going nowhere, as no waitress asked us for refills, how our food was, or if we needed anything in both of our most recent visits. In fact, we had to hunt someone down at the bar for additional napkin and refill on our sodas. There was plenty of employees standing around and pacing the restaurant during my most recent visit on 1/30/25. There was no game on that day and the place only had a few tables dining in. However, a busser paced our section every 2 minutes and stared at our table before walking away. Never saying anything. It was to the point where we set up a timer on our phone because it really freaked us out and left us with a bad taste in our mouths. It was eerily creepy. Unfortunately no manager or waitress came by to bring this to their attention. So much for that admin fee being put to use, huh? We were dining in for a special birthday dinner and the whole experience proved that we won't be back during our next visit to Ann Arbor If I wanted to spend that kind of money, I would go to a nicer restaurant with better service and food. read more

Incredible food! Couldn't even finish it all, had to box it up for home... Super delicious though, I had the veggie jumbo burrito. I never liked mushrooms before but after the burrito, I certainly do now! My boyfriend got the barbecue bacon burger and he was OBSESSED!!!! Our waitress was a sweetheart and very attentive to us. Service was very fast, refilled us without even having to ask! Seemed like we came in at the perfect time before a rush could happen! We popped in mid-afternoon between Lunch and Dinner time so it wasn't crowded (and school was out of session). Yet still our waitress was very attentive and took care of us. I had the Twisted Turkey Sandwich and it was amazing. It comes with a lot of options for sides and I choose the chicken Noodle soup. It was old school style with carrots and celery and tasted delicious. I especially liked that it wasn't too salty. Definitely gonna come back here next time we are in town -- hopefully if my kids get to go to U of M. read more

Super rude to us and tried to convince us that we ordered wrong and moved tables when we stayed at the same table the whole time. We ordered at the table using their QR code. Our table said one number but they said we ordered for a different number. They said we must of moved tables. Completely overpriced microwaved food - I ordered the lunch size tortellini for about $16 and it was a decent sized portion but was literally like the tortellini that you'd get in the refrigerated section of the grocery store with sauce from a jar. Delivery was on time and the packaging was decent, but it's just an absolutely insane price for the quality. The dinner portion was something like $25 - not sure how big that would have been but those are fancy restaurant prices for fast food quality. It wasn't terrible, but next time I want microwaved pasta and sauce I'll make it at home for $3 instead of $16. Don't plan on reordering anytime soon. read more

The workers here are extremely rude. We ordered our food using the online posted QR code. The code for our table was incorrect. When bringing this issue up after we didn't get our order, the staff was so condescending and rude and threatened to check security cameras after accusing us of lying . We did not receive our food and they proceeded to blame us of switching tables when we did not. When instead our QR code ordered under the wrong table number. This was an extremely troubling experience and we will not be coming here again because of it. Be aware when you come here of rude and condescending staff!!! read more

Party of three . It was our first time at Pizza House. We had three small pizzas two were only cheese one glass of beer one pop. One personal cheese bread. One calamari. appetizer.one milk shake. The calamari.had no taste and very rubbery. The beers had no price on the menu. When we got our bill We were horrified. One 16 oz glass of beer was 9.50 plus they tackled on a 6.01 extra fee they never told us in advance there would be some bull shit fee added to our bill plus you must tip a minimum18% so all total our bill was almost 150.00 what the F it's a Thursday lunch with our son. Our family is in town for a hockey tournament and my son was hungry for pizza. The kids all like thin crust so I wanted to find a place that served both. We also wanted to check out campus so we settled on Pizza House and were so glad we did! The restaurant is spacious and the owner and servers were all so kind and great with our kids! Beer selection was great! The kids all loved their thin crust pizza and we did too. My husband and I got a small Sicilian deep dish house special and it was plenty with slices to take home. The veggies and toppings were fresh and plentiful. The pizza was delicious! Our server was beyond sweet and checked on us often. Give this place a try! read more

It's been awhile since I dined in at Pizza House. We were a party of 15. It was lunch, so most of us ordered from the lunch menu. Pretty straightforward. Our waitress was not friendly and rude. Our table ordered about 6 salads and two people accidentally took each other's salad (dressing). Our one friends said, "oops, I ordered the ranch and he had the Italian dressing." The waitress has no internal monologue and said, you lied (about your order). Ouch! I can't speak for what my friends ordered but my salad and pizza were okay (and pricey). We were told to try Pizza House when in Ann Arbor. It's open till 4am, which is refreshing because most of the local A2 restaurants are still closing by 9/10pm! It is a good size restaurant on campus; great for large groups, kids, or cozy enough for a date! The staff was friendly, and the ambience was inviting. There are fireplaces in the dining room and tall ceilings. The decor was reminiscent of an upscale restaurant. My son and I ordered some cheesy garlic bread and some hand cut boneless buffalo wings. Everything was amazing, I can't wait to go back and try the hand cut chicken fingers & the pizza! We were so full after eating our appetizers, we had no room for entrées! Great food and the staff is really friendly. Parking is a bit problematic but they do validate your ticket from the nearby parking structure. It is a bit expensive so be prepared so spend a little bit on your tab. read more

Decent pizza, ok service, cute place but $ for what you get IMO. My friend was visiting from out of state and she had a hankering for this place. If I had to get pizza for nostalgia reasons, I would've picked Brown Jug (but I've also heard it isn't as good as it used to be 20+ yrs ago). My friend ordered their Hawaiian deep dish and she loved it! I ordered a traditional crust with their spicy med topping and it was decent but it had too much bread for me/didn't love the crust (should've gotten the thin crust). However, the topping was as good as Cottage Inn's (my fav pizza to get there). The antipasto salad was really good but disappointed it came out with the pizza and not before. Miscommunication w/ our server?! The jalapeño poppers were tasty and they were accompanied with some delicious ranch dressing. Our food was decent, but I don't really feel the need to go back there either unless others want to. As I mentioned I thought their prices were kind of high especially for the pizzas. read more

We stopped in with the kids and got some pizza and drinks. The raspberry lemonade for the kids was a big hit and the tap list for drinks had some good choices (I got something called Mr. Blue, I think). We got a margherita pizza, which was interesting since they lightly salted the crust, and the kids had a half pepperoni and half plain pizza. The cheese, sauce, and pepperoni were all good. I didn't care much for the dough or crust (as always, comparing it to East coast pizza), but the killer was that the pies were like $25 or more each (a bit much for what it was). Pizza House...Pizza House. First things first...I'm not a fan of your location being close to the ONE school I can't stand (Buckeye fan here) BUT I do love your establishment! The environment here (PreCovid) has great vibes and gives a great GAMEDAY feel and the pizza here is excellent! I got cheesy bread and shared a large pizza with friends. Everything came out piping hot and fresh and fast which is always a great thing! For dessert, I tried the cinnamon bread with icing and yea that was just as good as the pizza!! It is very sweet yet delicious and the only thing was missing was milk to wash it down. Pizza House has different types of beers you can try and it is where I met the potent DRAGON'S MILK! It is a bourbon barrel beer that will put you on your butt if you have too many, but for a gameday...is the best way to celebrate! I'm sure I'll be back to the area to root AGAINST that school up north, but I'm definitely coming back to Pizza House! read more

I feel like Pizza House is a staple in Ann Arbor and I've always enjoyed it over the years. The food is tasty. They stay open late and have lots of options. This time was the first time I had a vegan pizza. I've never in life had a pizza without cheese. We added lots of different veggies to add more flavor and punch to it. Now, I have to admit, as far as pizzas with no cheese, it didn't taste as bad as I thought. It was a interestingly familiar taste but it also tasted like it could have used more seasoning vs the straight veggies. I think that could've been added to the sauce and it would've made it taste a lot better. Some of the other things that I wasn't particularly fond of. The pizza total came out to over $50, which is quite expensive for a veggie/vegan pizza with no meat or cheese, which are usually the pricier items. I also didn't like that gratituty was automatically added to the bill. I can see for large parties where that would apply but for a party of two, I think you should be able to choose how much you want to tip. read more

Now $20 for a pizza that is supposed to be on sale is a bit expensive, but I wasn't too mad about that... ...until I ate the pizza. I ordered bacon on it, and it was the most horrid tasting, horribly cooked, disgustingly-textured thing I've ever eaten on a pizza. The texture was comparable to oily plastic, and the taste was genuinely like the smell of super cheap Chinese plastic-- the type that singes your nose with stink and makes everything it touches greasy. Ordered a medium sized Chicago stuffed house special with many toppings in it. I've actually went to Chicago and had Gino's East, and man that was amazing. I'm not saying it had to be like Gino's but it wasn't even on par with pizzapapalis. There was barely any of the bland sauce on top, the toppings were bland and not equally scattered as well, and there was WAY too much dough for that little sauce. Went here yesterday afternoon before the game. Although the wait was a bit ( as was any other place in town) the service was very good once we were seated upstairs and the pizza was excellent. I wish I only came here for drinks, and to watch football. This place is truly great for both things. You get a tablet once you sit down that has a detailed menu, plus tapping any item gives you details on that item. The beer list is extensive, with 32 on tap. The thing is, if a restaurant has an item in their name, I'm expecting that item to be fantastic. If I had gotten this pizza at a movie theater, I would've said, "this is pretty good pizza." Or, if I bought this pizza at Kroger, I'd probably have the same answer. The pizza here fails in just about every possible way. The crust is puffy, with no chew to it, like baked bread with no seasoning. The sauce is the blandest tomato sauce I've ever had, with not a whiff of garlic or oregano. The mozzarella is substantial, but mozzarella is always the least tasteful part of the pizza, on most pizzas. Pepperoni and sausage are decent, but with no spice whatsoever. Not surprisingly, the breadsticks are just as uninspired: bland bread with bland sauce. Yippee! We also got what we're supposed to be Parmesan garlic chicken wings. The good news is that the chicken is good, and more substantial than most chicken wings. The bad news is that there's no glaze whatsoever, as well as no hint of Parmesan or garlic in the wings. My brother ordered salmon, because he's gluten intolerant. Lucky guy. He said the salmon was good, which you wouldn't expect from a pizza place. Then again, I wouldn't expect a pizza place to not have good pizza. I might be back to have a drink and watch a game sometime. But, I'm going to skip the pizza. read more
