Hired them to replace the vinyl weatherstrips on my shower door edges which they had installed 20 years ago. Charge was $400 which included one hour labor.They replaced three weatherstrips in about 15 minutes and after they left I saw a 4th weatherstrip at the bottom of the door which wasn't touched. I called them the next day and it took them 6 weeks to come back. The repairman then ripped off the 4th weatherstrip, then told me they don't make them to fit the bottom anymore. Was in my house maybe 10 minutes. Now my shower door doesn't keep the water inside the shower, there is a puddle on the outside shower sill. I would not recommend this company. read more

There is truly one grouchy lady that attempts to take care of you. She was argumentative with my wife over the phone. I wanted to replace a small rubber strip for the bottom of the our shower door at one time and the same grouchy lady asked me if I had purchased the shower door with them and I told her yes, which we had installed by them. She could not find my records, imagine that. I finally got the item I needed after talking with someone else. Then we had an issue with our shower pan so we needed to just have the glass removed. Again my wife spoke with the same grouchy woman and again she asked if we purchased the door and glass from them and she told them yes. The Grouchy woman again could not find the records and then had the audacity to give my wife an outrageous quote just to have the door and glass removed for $1000. Needless to say we did not use their service due to the ridiculous price quote. Contacted another shower door contractor and he did the removal for $200. This place is an utter ripoff. I would not recommend New York shower door to anyone not only for the ridiculous price also for the rudeness of the grouchy unprofessional attitude of the woman who runs this place. read more

I would give 0 stars if I could. I called this company a few times to get some information and was hung up on 3 separate times by the rude lady that said she was working in the showroom. She would not even let me finish talking before she would tell me she had a customer in the showroom and then hang up. I'm not sure why they would not have more than 1 person between the showroom and answering phones if this woman cannot handle doing both. All I know is that I have never received such bad service in all of my experience building our new home. I suggest the lady gets some customer service skills if she wants to keep her potential clients. read more

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. The moment my father walked it he was automatically told "all these doors start off at 2,000 dollars" making the assumption that he cannot afford it. He walked out right after. Looks like they may do nice work, but called this morning to get a quote and order a glass shower panel for a new install however the woman on the phone kept telling me that they are (4) weeks out and actually talked me out of doing business with them, no issues I called another glass vendor, they were happy to provide me a quote and have our business. These people are as crooked as can be. They installed my door and when I called for service as the door did not slide they claimed that I did not buy it from them. I showed them a picture of the door and they said they never had or sold a cheap door like that. I told them that I would pay for the service and after putting me off for 6 weeks because of covid I finally called another company who came and had to reset the door. I found my receipt from NY shower and emailed it to a lady named Joan who claimed she was the owner. I never heard from them. Better find a different company that is legitimate. read more
