I would first like to say Lyric was a nice server. Our issue was food oxtails were tough, shrimp was over cooked, sauces were clumpy, cabbage was soft. Most of this we got through however when sending back one of the oxtail plates (the only full plate that was asked to be dismissed) we were asked if she wanted something instead not being notified that because the pasta was prepared they would still charge for both dishes when attention was brought to this she told us she could discount it but not remove it.....and she did remove $4.00 in taxes. One of our party members ordered a peach Hennessy drink we do not know what that green drink was that came to the table was....based off that I decided to switch my drink to the very colorful Solo that my mom had ordered and I had tasted, after waiting an hour for this drink I'm sure, it was nothing like what was in my moms cup. I figured I could have begged for management but since we were the only table in the restaurant with about 6 others coming in to order while we're there it was known that we were more and more unhappy as the service droned on. Management didn't come to see if we were enjoying since this was our first time, when I asked for a substitute I was charged anyway and I'd begun to read the other reviews and saw that management has a completely defensive position when addressing customers who have opinions so I saw that as pointless contact (I.e. the restaurant is supposed to be Caribbean food and even though some dishes are named "Haitian" I notice the owner reminds it's not Haitian or Jamaican...confusing to me) We paid. My husband noted that the passion from the young man working was definitely there and was very helpful when offering recommendations and customizing your drink. What lost points for me is the communication and consistency of this truck! They haven't updated their hours or locations on their website since April. It's also impossible to get in touch with the business, they don't reply to messages or calls from the number posted on their website. It's too difficult to track down where they are located for a mobile truck, making it even harder to support their business. As for the drinks, personally they are too syrupy and sugary for a drink for my taste. (No wonder why my husband and son love them LOL) There are many shops in Carrollton and Villa Rica that have delightful storefronts with consistent hourly operations for better price and quality. I do want to commend the staff for being passionate about wanting to make crafty drinks, but definitely needs some practice when it comes to being a reputable business. It has so much potential, but they make it hard for customers to support them. I hope to come back and change this review in the future, but I hope they improve on their consistency and accessibility.
