Guess what - they don't sell a half sandwich by itself. Well, they can but it will cost you extra. And it's tiny. You order a sandwich, they ask if you want half or whole, you say "half". They ask if you want a side, you don't, and you say so. They ring it up, you can't see the amount and they don't tell you that you're paying MORE for half than you would for a whole because they had to ring it up as if you got half-and-half, which you didn't, and that costs more. And when you ask why it costs more than the price on the menu, they say, sorry, we can't do anything about that. Can't even explain it. So you submit a complaint through the Newks app, and include that you'll also write it up on Yelp so others (maybe even the local Newks staff, if they read their reviews) will know. And they do respond quickly with an explanation via txt, with a link to a free entree. Here's their explanation. I'm just surprised they don't have a price for a (tiny) half sandwich. Would be better to order the full and throw half away to save money. "We are incredibly sorry this was your experience. Did you only want the half sandwich? We can do half pairing where you can get the half sandwich with a soup, salad, or Mac n cheese. But, unfortunately our system does not have a half sandwich only option where the price is different from the half pairing. We will be passing this feedback along and hopefully a solution will be created. Again, we sincerely apologize, but it is the way our computer system is set up." In short, they are only a giant chain, they can't be expected to have thought of, or hired programmers to support, a half-sandwich option. But having been given that brilliant insight, they'll consider it, maybe. The sandwich was tasty, though, I'll give 'em that. read more

Hey Newk's sorry to do this to you but the lady you had on register around 6:30 pm on 4-25-25 wearing a gray hoodie and had blondish hair ruined our experience and this was my wife's and I's first time trying y'all. She was rude was on her Apple AirPods not even dressed like she wanted to be there got our order wrong and snapped at my brother when he tried to let her know that the card reader didn't work. And she was like that to everyone she "helped" that came after us. After a few more customers had ordered I noticed she was took off the register but proceeded to have attitude while restocking the condiment bar area throwing down the glass jars that hold the peppers and other toppings, making it obvious she was not happy. Now I do understand that we don't know what's going on in anyone's live so I do give her sympathy but this being our first time it tainted our experience and we didn't enjoy the food. Hopefully we can come back and try the food again and give it a fair try. So the leave on a positive note the restaurant very was clean. read more

Everything was decent before I tried to eat my dessert. This was supposed to be a slice of Lemon Cake, but it's definitely not that; It tasted more like a Caramel Cake Slice. The bad part is that I actually asked the cashier if he was sure that it was lemon cake before placing it in the bag, and he said yes... Oh and not to mention the icing appears to have been removed from the top, or either never placed on it before packaging, smh. Whatever the case, this was totally unacceptable... Very clean Newk's location. Food is always good and fresh at Newk's. Haven't been to any that disappointed and I've dined at a few in a several states. I had the crawfish soup and chicken salad on wheat bread. I like how they toast the bread and the chicken salad is good. Wish I had a little more chicken salad on the sandwich though. There's a good bit of crawfish in the soup which I appreciated. It was hot (temperature) and hearty. My son had the pepperoni and sausage pizza and the corn chowder. He also said that it was good. We had the coconut cake which is moist and not overly sweet. Overall a good meal. The staff acknowledged us and checked on us several times. They bussed the tables regularly which kept the place nice and tidy. I will be dining here again. read more

After visiting the Line Creek Nature Area in the same area we went here for a early dinner late lunch. I read another yelpers review who describes this place as "high end fast food" and I would have to agree. Most of the establishments that I've visited that contain the term "eatery" usually has some sort of buffet style or self serving themes but not here. The menu consists primarily of sandwiches, soups, salads, and pizza all prepared fresh to order and brought out to your table. (Patio seating available). Sandwiches sides and drinks for two less than $25 and everything was great! Service was courteous and quick. The staff was helpful with the little extra request. Have a good meal then go for a nice walk on the nature trail. Cheap date stamped and approved! 5stars here we will be back! read more

Delicious, spacious, your trustworthy higher-end fast food restaurant. You can buy a meal under 10 dollars, and still be full. There are tons of Newk's in the perimeter, but this one was the cleaner Newk's I have been. I really enjoyed my half size steak sandwich with mac and cheese. The steak had a hint of mustard taste, with cheesy and caramelized onions. It was basically Philly cheesesteak for me. Would recommend. read more

I had seen other Newk's before (where we used to live) but it was never convenient to check them out (too far away, etc.). This one opened close by where we currently live, so we gave them a shot on a Sunday for lunch. This Newk's is located in the plaza on 54 where Michael's is located (there is a Chick-Fil-A and a gas station at the entrance to the plaza). It is on the right side as you enter the plaza, in a satellite building with the Urgent Care place and maybe a nail salon? Parking in the side lot is limited so you may need to use the larger adjacent main lot. There are two entrances here. The left one (facing the building) is apparently for take-out / pick-up, but if there is no one in that line they may take dine-in orders too. The right entrance is the one specifically for dine-in. You order at a counter, pay, and get a number to display on your table. The food came out very quickly in our case. I got a half-and-half combo (sandwich and soup). The 'grilled steak' was somewhat like a Philly. It was good (bread was toasted and warm!). The mushroom soup was tasty as well. My wife got a full sandwich, and it came with a side (she may have gotten fruit?). She liked her chicken salad okay, but it had more cheese than she expected. When we dined here, they were quite busy. It looked like an after-church lunch rush. I don't know how busy they are at other times. The staff seemed really sharp, patrolling to keep tables cleaned up and checking on your meal. The manager was really busy checking on things. We'll likely be back. read more
